Imagine composing a main theme so full of feelings and that embodies so much at ONCE that you don't even need to remaster it because it's already perfect. I'm actually so GLAD this wasn't remixed at all. It's absolutely gorgeous as it is.
After 2 sequels, a DLC, a spinoff, and a remaster and easily 4-500+ soundtracks later, still nothing beats the sheer beauty and emotional impact of this one song playing over a still image of a sword stuck in the field. Thank you Yoko Shimomura. This song is eternal.
There are few words that can capture how I felt when I first booted up the game and this beautiful, melancholic theme played over a screen consisting of just one sword stuck in the ground. Really told me I was in for a very heartfelt game.
This series changed my life, and now we are only 3 minutes away from the end of the series with Future Redeemed. Feels unreal that the story I've been following since 2015 is about to finally end. It's been so fun to be a part of this incredible journey. Thank you Monolith Soft for creating this masterpiece.
imagine what it was like for fans in japan, this was an entire decade defined by an RPG series from a guy who was ALWAYS cheated out of making a complete series of games.
This beautiful game is coming to the Switch next year. Thank you Monolith and Nintendo for such an amazing journey! I cannot wait to experience this game's beauty again!
It's funny. I was considering buying a Wii just so I could play Xenoblade and Metroid Prime again. Now if they could just get the other Zeldas and Metroid Prime Trilogy onto the Switch.

It's even better than HD. It's a remaster. The fact that they show cut areas in the trailers means we will get much more than we expect. And for that I am so thankful.
@@FoxNightDream I like how people are debating if its a remake or a remaster. They should look at FF VIII remaster and decide. Xenoblade chronicles definitive looks like another game, I didnt even recognise it at first!
Tears started to run down my cheeks after hearing this track in the definitive edition trailer. I couldn't believe it at first, but after seeing Shulk and he whole environment I knew that this was the real deal. An HD remake of this legendary masterpiece was the only game I've been truly wishing for from the bottom of my heart and now Nintendo is making this dream come true. I don't really know how to express my feelings, but there's one thing I want to say: Thank you.
I could not begin to express how much this game is favorite game of all time for myself. Everytime I put how I felt into words, this song plays within my mind. When the piece begins, it just takes me back from when I first picked up this game in 2014 to refinishing it in DE a few months ago. In other words, there are none to describe Xenoblade Chronicles other than this track.
Every time I come to listen to this song, I feel a rush of nostalgia. Xenoblade Chronicles has a memorable and impactful story, with characters that can really invoke emotions out of you, and combat that can be exhilarating and extremely enjoyable. Xenoblade is my favorite game and will always be. Can't wait until the remake...
Wild to see how far Xenoblade has come. Since the good old "Operation Rainfall" of bringing XC to the west to meet with poor sales resulting in an ominous premonition of its future, to seeing the 3rd game met with critical acclaim and deserving success. We're getting the last DLC story to close off the book on this saga that started since 2010. I'm glad Takahashi finally managed to fully tell his story that he couldn't do since the Xenogears days. Monolith Soft are truly one of the best JRPG devs out there, nothing but solid and consistent quality.
I would've bought the hard copy but I can't find it anywhere for less than $50. Except once, I could've bought the hard copy for $15 used, but back then I didn't know what Xenoblade Chronicles was... That is my biggest regret in my life so far

Just listening to this, I can tell the game is a masterpiece. This is one of the reasons why I’m going to get into the Xenoblade series. Wow. Over 3 years later and this series might be one of the most important things to me. Everyday this series touches my heart as I think about it and I just can’t ever let myself forget it. Hearing this just reminds me of where I started and where I am now with these games. I literally have no regrets jumping onto this series and I can’t wait for what else is in store in the future.
I've wanted to play XC2 since it came out but never got round to it now I'm gonna play the remake of 1 and 2 I just gotta wait a tiny bit longer until I can enjoy these 2 masterpieces
Pineyy I actually started playing XC2 and I’m enjoying it. It’s just that I recently haven’t had a lot of time to play it, but if the second is this much fun, then I can’t wait for the remake.
If you’re waiting for the remake considering the price of the original, try out Xenoblade Chronicles X, its a very similar experience with an even more expansive world for a cheaper price, but it still doesn’t hold a candle to the original
Owain The Great I would but I’m not sure my broken gamepad and my wii u sitting in the back of my closet for an entire year would be worth the time setting it up again, but I am curious about it.
This song perfectly parallels the story of this game. First it starts off calm and peaceful, then erupts into a earth-shattering crescendo. Action and tension fill the air. Then finally, after all is said and done, it goes back to being peaceful, complete after a long, harrowing journey. A sense of loss, yet knowing that everything turned out fine in the end. Truly a masterpiece... Can't wait to hear how it sounds in Definitive Edition.
The first time I lauched the game back in 2012, I put my pad on my legs when I heard this theme, listen to it from the begining, to the end, with chills on my skin. I knew this would be one of the best game i'll ever play.

Listening to this song after my last day of high school. I'm in tears. This game was such an important part of my life so to hear it after a huge phase of my life is really beautiful.
I started playing Xenoblade Chronicles in 2012. I was 8 years old, and now that they made the definitive edition, I started crying because it’s been a whole 8 years since I last played the one on the WII.
Man with definitive edition coming out I can finally play this game and I’m so excited the music sounds incredible and the story seems like so much fun
This theme is the only piece of videogame music that has ever given me incredible goosebumps and that can bring me to tears every time, Yoko Shimomura has truly composed a masterpiece
I’ve never played the game, but I can’t wait to. I’m so excited for this game. I’ve heard such great things about it. May 29th couldn’t come any sooner...
I have never actually cried at a title theme until hearing this for the first time. It is so intensely beautiful and tragic and it sets up the experience you’re in for perfectly. A journey of loss, tragedy and self discovery.
I've signed up for the petition when I was twelve. Then this game came out and changed my life. Now, half of my life later, I'm still moved by this world and story.
This song makes me feel unworthy of being able to listen to it, it makes me feel sad, hopeful, excited, and determined. God, this song is so beautiful.
I honestly didn’t think there would be an HD version of this game. I thought the only treatment this would get would be the 3DS port, but I am so glad to be wrong.
Just came here through seeing some of the amazing dub scenes for some of the characters, and I could not help but notice the music... listening to the first set of notes and you can instantly tell its Yoko Shimomura. Goddamn!
I gotta be honest, out of all the games I’ve ever played, there are a select few that have truly captured my love. Dead Space for horror and realism, God of War for action, and Xenoblade for story and gameplay. God do I love this game.
I never played the wii version.(i was too poor for a wii) And i simply bought the definitive edition so i could get a change from shooter games...I didn't realize I'd be so blown away. Its just my opinion so I'll go ahead and say that this is one of the best rpg's i ever played and the first one to actually make me cry on the cutscenes lol.
As much as I liked 3, I don't think the story of the 1st game can be topped. It started out as a quest for revenge, and on to rescue, and finally to literally fight god from destroying the world. Crazy story evolution
I actually hated the battle system in 1... but I couldn't put it down. Like a good book, I kept going because I had to know what happens next. I feel like modern rpgs tend to focus on gameplay and fail on the storytelling where the older classic rpgs, limited by the constraints of the hardware, had no choice but to tell an incredible story. XC felt like a callback to that era of storytelling in games.
@@countzero5150 i agree, i think the battle system in xc1 is a little clunky - but the world, exploration, characters, music, and story more than make up for that. It is still the only jrpg i have ever played all the way through _twice,_ it's that good. I recommend it to everyone for the story alone. Definitely captures that era you're talking about.
Well, I'm nearly 10 years after my first ever xenoblade run. And I'm still here, listening to this music insanely emotional. Not only cause this music is but it carrying on all my journey on xenoblade, days, months spent in this game. A game never succeded to make me cried third. Xenoblade is a masterpiece. I will keep listening to this music as a reward candy when I will do a great thing in my life. Cause it's Xenoblade, cause it's a perfect gameplay loop that always respect the player and give him what he needs. Imagine a game with 0 bug in 300h run ? It's impossible, it's Xenoblade. Imagine a game so good that the title screen is enought to make you satisfied. Imagine a game so damn good that you still remember verbal interactions between team members "Alright Alright Alright". The greatest game of all time. Nothing comes close.
Listening to this song after my last day of high school. I'm in tears. This game was such an important part of my life so to hear it after a huge phase of my life is really beautiful.
Que envidia me das
Keep enjoying, keep having fun. Work and study but remember to enjoy.
I started playing Xenoblade Chronicles in 2012. I was 8 years old, and now that they made the definitive edition, I started crying because it’s been a whole 8 years since I last played the one on the WII.
本当に沁みる…。「寂寥感×広い世界を優しく撫でる風×生れ出づる事への感謝×神(自分という名のモナド)と共に生きる意思」が一態に為った奇跡の音楽を感じる✨✨✨
XENOBLADE 3 HYPE LET'S GOOOO
Can't wait for the next title theme.
I did not expect to enjoy this game as much as I did. Best game I've ever played.
Man with definitive edition coming out I can finally play this game and I’m so excited the music sounds incredible and the story seems like so much fun
I'm really feeling it... Again...
DEFINITIVE EDITION INBOUND
This theme is the only piece of videogame music that has ever given me incredible goosebumps and that can bring me to tears every time, Yoko Shimomura has truly composed a masterpiece
Can't wait to cry all over again to this song after xc3. September 2022...
The time has come. We can change the future! Again!
I’ve never played the game, but I can’t wait to. I’m so excited for this game. I’ve heard such great things about it. May 29th couldn’t come any sooner...
U will thank ur self for playing this game
Come on bro look at this menu music
I’m ready for this definitive edition, let’s do this!
I'm so fucking happy my favorite game of all time is getting the remake it deserves
I feel u
Never played the game, after hearing this and seeing how people say it’s good I’m hyped as hell to do
@@Vizery Please do, I promise you absolutely will not regret it
Wishing you a great time!
I have never actually cried at a title theme until hearing this for the first time. It is so intensely beautiful and tragic and it sets up the experience you’re in for perfectly. A journey of loss, tragedy and self discovery.
Can't wait for this to be raided with people after the definitive edition launches.
Second half has me tearing up like crazy. What a stupidly powerful piece of music
Of COURSE this was written by Yoko Shimomura. Such a legend, crazy how much skill and talent she's procured throughout her career.
I've signed up for the petition when I was twelve. Then this game came out and changed my life. Now, half of my life later, I'm still moved by this world and story.
This is beautiful, Xenoblade Chronicles is my favorite videogame
This song makes me feel unworthy of being able to listen to it, it makes me feel sad, hopeful, excited, and determined. God, this song is so beautiful.
Simply euphoric
Just got the definitive edition on switch today and I’m pretty sure I’ve already spent at least 3 hours on the title screen listening to this
It’s reyn time yeaaaaaah!!!!! Switch Babyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!
Ok this is the first time I actually sat down and listened to it fully and I’m having to stop typing Bc Jesus Christ this is so good
Does anyone else just listen to this entire theme every time they load up the game? Because I do. This theme is just too good to skip.
This is such a brilliant game combined with a brilliant score of music... Truly a gift
It's been 12 years since this game was released, It Was a wild ride
Quiero esto sonando en mi funeral. Por favor.
OH GOD YES, I WANTED THIS REMAKE SO HARD IT IS HAPPENING
The title screen in this game changes more than some games change in hours of game play.
I honestly didn’t think there would be an HD version of this game. I thought the only treatment this would get would be the 3DS port, but I am so glad to be wrong.
I remember playing this game back in 2013, when I was 6, now this theme just hits hard😩
神曲😊何時間でも聴いてられる。
this is the best song in the world. not exagerating
I'm agree nostalgic, sad, emotionnal all the items to give the best song in the world
Just came here through seeing some of the amazing dub scenes for some of the characters, and I could not help but notice the music... listening to the first set of notes and you can instantly tell its Yoko Shimomura.
Definitely captures that era you're talking about.
adding to my list of games I've stayed on the title screen for the music.
10+ years...and it still manages to make me cry...
I could die listening to this.
I'm not a fan of Xenoblade Chronicles, but this OST... oh my god, it gaves me so much chills
you should play the first game, it’s so good.
I really hope you’ve tried it
This theme always make me cry
This game is an ufo in the gaming world history
This is the best title screen theme in gaming, and no one can tell me otherwise
Well yes but
-Hollow Knight
-Ori and the blind forest
-Child of Light
Thanks monolith soft very cool
When this theme plays at THAT cutscene......so powerful..
This song, to zanarkand, and a corner of memories will always have a special place in my heart
