This song explains the sorrows of parting with someone, whether temporarily or permanently. It gives off emotions that bottle up inside you once you know that you and a special one dear to you follow down different paths that may never touch again. But you know that this is happening for a reason, fate has chosen these paths, and you must follow them. All you hope is that you see the special one another day, whether in another life, or just the next day. You desire those feelings of love, happiness, and comfort. You keep their image in your mind, never forgetting the person that completed you.
xenoblade does such a good job in making soundtracks that not only portray emotion well, but actually makes you feel that emotion. 10/10 would listen to again
I think this is good that this music plays only at the very beginning of the game (when Shulk and Reyn leave Colony 9) and at the very end of it (when Shulk becomes a god). It is the beginning and the ending at the time
It also plays at other times, like when Egil blows up Agniratha and Gadolt sacrifices himself to save the crew. Incidently, that was the first time a video game made me cry.
I'm a writer, trying to be an author. I was writing with this song in the background just now. Two friends, separated for a long time, just reunited out of the blue. This track fit their shock and happiness perfectly. :D
This is my favorite song in the game hands down, the impact is from how little the song is played makes it so the few times it is played I'm in tears bc of how beautiful it is
Dorian Pillard oh ok I’m sorry then I’m actually really excited because the original xenoblade changed my life so I’m sorry for being a dick. You can go ahead and report me if you like but I was just overwhelmed by the hype of the definitive edition so I’m sorry I freaked out a little. (I’m being genuine, not sarcastic)
Every time I hear this song, I get so emotional... I feel the heart and soul that the musicians put into this song and I'm moved to literal tears... One of the most beautiful and elegant pieces of the entire soundtrack, in my whole hearted opinion.
This is my favorite song in the entirety of this amazing soundtrack. It plays at the very beginning as you leave Colony 9 and depart on your journey, and at the end which I won't spoil here. It has a double meaning to me where it signifies the end and also the beginning. When you first hear it, it is the end of your normal life and familiar home in the colony to explore the vast new land of the bionis. And the final time it plays is at the end of your long journey, but it also gives the feeling of starting life anew having been changed by your journey. Xenoblade Chronicles is my favorite game of all time and I cannot wait to experience this masterpiece all over again with DX, maybe we'll even get a new rendition of this track as well.
