Awesome format for this one, really enjoyed the head to head. Dodge is such a weird company, cool to see the market for these as opposed to the usual offenders. I've got a pontoon boat just across the water from you guys on the Magothy, you ought to come out with that rod and reel, looks like it could handle some serious white perch.

We definitely put cams in Hemis. Putting a cam in one is about as far as you can go before you start getting into big money on these. Intake, exhaust, tune and cam ( and lifters and a few other things that are required with an aftermarket cam) are about it. The LS is just much more abundant.

Could you guys list the exhaust hangers if ya still got either car? specifically the ones at the very rear of the car near the tips that bolt to the body..I need a set.

@@ruralridez6165 calling it rare because of a parts combination only 7 cars shipped with doesnt mean its actually rare dude, unless you have some kind of special edition shaker they only made 7 of, its just a normal fuckin shaker with a specs sheet that is only on 7 cars
@@springpanda9393 it's #55 of 70 50th anniversary scat pack widebody in GoldRush and it's 1 of 7 made in a 6 speed manual. The shaker scoop is painted body color only time dodge has ever done that.

Some of those cars people go for panel parts to replace some panels on there cars or straighten up the body's on some of the car shells and you could probably rebuild or sell as a shell with title

Dodge is selling brand new Challenger roller chassis for 8,000$ from their company. I would buy that and swap everything over from both cars to it.

I think the Red one may bring more money because it has more body parts. interior and airbags that can be sold. Both have drivetrains so that is a wash. The 6K extra cost may hurt the final number.

You guys are doing a great job showing how exciting and interesting your work can be while at the same time giving a look inside a successful auto parts business. A random thought, maybe in some parallel universe it would be cool to see you and your crew buy or help a traditional used parts business that is a cluttered disaster and turn it into a smooth, clean running operation, kind of like gordon ramsey going into failing restaurants and turning them around

Actually, the Scat Pack 392 makes 485 HP and 475 lb-ft of torque, which is more than the 455 HP/455 lb-ft of the LS3.

Man, I hate to see another Octane Red take one for the team but I guess it makes mine that much more rare.
Can you explain the leak down process as to decide if it’s a good motor?
Sure!
You force 100psi of air into a cylinder and the second gauge measure how much leaks out. So if it’s seeing 92psi it will register 8% leakdown.
Anything under 10 is regarded as healthy, on some built engines that number can comfortably be as high as 20% on the engines with really loose clearances.
When you see 5% or so, that’s absolute perfection.
Big? Less power... 😁pffff those big heads flow 340-350cfm stock, what LS guys can only dream... 😁 Many Magnum owners buy new Challenger dash etc to get modern look.
In terms of margin you made more on the grey which makes it better business
You can view it that way, however we’re limited by capacity not purchasing power. So regardless of percentages, I view the success of any given partout by total net margin.
This would be the opposite of someone doing this from home or on a smaller scale.
