It turns out this corvette has quite a few surprises for in store! It may FINALLY pay off to have overpaid for a non-running car from Copart!

All is fair in love and salvage cars.
this was my brother in laws car. it was never meant for daily driving. was gonna be a show build. he took perfect care of the car, it rode perfectly fine despite all the people saying “lowering ruins the vette”. love the vids and crazy to see this vid after seeing the car built. and accident wasn’t drivers fault, someone on the highway flew over into his lane and took him out
That’s a shame to hear! Unfortunately that’s why a lot of the cars we deal with meet their end…
@@scraplifegarage yea i’ve seen a lot go due to being so low. just thought i’d shed some light on the situation just because seems like a lot of people assuming but not knowing whole situation. love the content tho keep it up

This video has been at the top of my recommended for a couple days. I guess I’ll watch it RUclips
3 minutes in and I’m gunna be binge watching this channel. Thanks youtube.
🥲
Honestly, this is what gets me excited to go to the shop and film. Glad you like what we’re doing!
My experience, when parts are clean and washed, people tend to gravitate to them when purchasing or that are in the market. Great job guys !
Someone definitely pulled those fuses on purpose. They wanted to get the Vette Super Cheap!
This brings back memories. I sold parts at a specialty wrecker for 7 years. I miss those days but dealing with customers sometimes was a pain in the a$$.
Another great vid, love the high pace of the vids, great knowledge on vehicles keep up the good work 🖐️
I believe someone pulled the fuses to get it cheaper at Auction before finishing this vid. It’s horrible that the previous owner lowered it like that, they almost had good taste aside from the ride height. Great content once again fellas. 👍🏼✌🏼🇺🇸
I think you’re right on the money with that
Haha...exactly how my buddy got a 100k boat for 30k back in the day. What a fun boat it was.
the ride height looks way better than most corvette owners i see lmao 🤣 y’all really dislike it over the fact it scrapes lol ?
@@akayeti6231 Nah looks like shit
This type of 'slick shit' is basically commonplace at auctions in my 25+ years of turning wrenches at least. I've definitely seen it when the owner of this one indie shop I was at used to take me to do PPI's on whatever pile of shit that's gauge cluster was lit up like a freakin Christmas tree LMAO. Anyways, one of the famous things shady asses used to do was pull coil wires off just slightly so it LOOKED connected but wasn't making contact with nothing but the boot pushed on!!!! LOL the thing would be skipping like a fruitcake in a gay parade!!!🤣😂 Sorry I HAD to... I also used to LOVE seeing vehicles come through the lane leaking literally EVERY SINGLE FLUID POSSIBLE!!! It was LAUGHABLE seeing some of these piles come through there. Just wanted to share my funny but true auction experience. 😂😎👍
You guys deserve the good luck with engines. Your videos are great and you are beasts at breaking down vehicles and maximizing their values.
All in one video!!! Well done and thank you.
Great content. Very interesting. Here for the PCar stuff, but having fun with the rest also.
Awesome channel, keep up the content 🙏🏼
love these videos always wanted to get into same stuff love tryn find treasures at copart
Just found this channel, and it might be exactly the content I was looking for based on your name and the short description early on. Subbed real fast
After watching some of your vids .. not sure why I don't own a Corvette but was thinking about it..but I do know If I did or when I do I'd check you guys out .. the YT channel is great . transparent an honest.. Good job guys.
As a new subscriber, I am loving your videos. One thing that is very different to the UK, is mirrors. Over here they get knocked off quite regularly, and one in the right colour, can be worth a fortune 😳
clicked on this from my recommended, thought you guys were going to rebuild, then crushed my heart when I saw it in parts LOL
Oops 😉
Right
🤯😩😫
Yes, such a pity to destroy such a rare classic car. After all, there were only 215,223 of them made... 😀

Most people assume auction = cheap and that’s definitely not the case. At least not lately! Great vid!
Not cheap AT ALL

I love your business model. But there is no way anyone could just DECIDE to follow it. The knowledge you have is key to running that successfully. Few of us mere mortals posses that knowledge. But as a reseller myself I can appreciate your process and efficiency. Your success proves it.
It’s a business that requires experience for sure. Now some of the rebuilds I’m doing on the channel most anyone could do!
OEM rules 👌🏻 Another great vid guys, all the best from the UK. 👍🏻
Agreed!
Definitely a unique channel that is a must watch for all car guys.
Thanks for watching!
AWESOME CONTENT! Would love to know what you guys drive personally. I noticed a black 911 there in the lot, now you're talking my language👍. Love that you talk fast and cram a ton of content in that much time. Great stuff!
The worst thing for me is watching a video and sitting there wishing they would get on with it… so I keep it moving!
Check out my 911 playlist on the channel, that car is getting a full build and I also have a ZR1 that’s been waiting on an engine for 6 months now..
Austin has a LSA FD RX7 in the works also!
@@scraplifegarage Thank you for the reply, I certainly will check out your 911 stuff!

Could you have replaced the subframe and still driven it ? And what product did you guys use for headlights looks like glass after

Put her on bags.
Minor fendor bender might b 3 bolts to wrench .. couple things here n there..
I snapped my control arm in my e36 one time bent my whole entire front end and bumper because my rim fell to the right with the control arm still connected to it lol.. I was sitting flush on the ground panicking I thought my entire life was over my coilovers top housing also snapped off in the process. I thought my car was totaled I cried it sat for 8weeks I had a buddy mine from highschool fix it in like 2 hours put some e46 control arms and re adjusted my coil overs and rolled it out the back gate/fence just like that. It was the best car experience ever. Took it to the car wash had a smile on my face all day
love the vette videos!
We call them fuses too brother sick vid 🔥💯
Man that car looked like quite an easy repair job. Shame you guys parted it out but I guess it's worth more money that way.
I wondered why they wouldn't fix it-didn't seem that bad. Mostly bolt-on parts-no blown bags.

Happy to hear that big Mike! Thanks for watching
Man I clicked on this thinking you guys were gonna rebuild it but the. You guys just stripped the hole thing and crushed my heart
Oops
Is it actually worth more parted than it would be restored?
The radiator support on my stock ride height C6 was even scraped up. These cars are hard to keep clean underneath in areas with crappy roads like Michigan.
Love your videos! I really like that you give us a behind-the-scenes look into what it's actually like in the salvage industry! Keep up the fantastic work! Also, loving the Porsche 911 videos!
Thanks man!
New to your channel really like it because I love messing with C6s have one now and looking for a supercharger for a 2007 convertible auto don’t know where you listed all your parts if you could let me know would be great.like seeing all you guys do for sure 👍

How would you like a 1995 Cobra R Mustang with 12 miles on the odometer ?
This car was a backup car for an IMSA Endurance Racing team . The car was never raced and actually was purchased as a parts car for the race car . The race car never broke so the car is mostly there . The car has been sitting in the team's racecar trailer for over 25 years .
There were only 257 of these cars made for 1995 . This car came from the factory with a 351 Windsor and a Tremec 5 speed transmission . The car was decaled to look like the racecar, but was never put on the track . It sat behind the pits up on jackstands ready in case the race car needed a part every part was sitting right there . The engine and transmission were removed and put on jack stands to make other parts easier to remove if needed . The engine and transmission were race prepped . These cars ran in the showroom stock class and only safety equipment was allowed as far as modifications .
If you are interested in this car please contact Jon Quick .

Chop chop chop! Every engine I have recused from the junkyard, I never did a compression test. They have always ran for me. In my experience if it turns over with the spark plugs in, and I feel the compression rebound. Then it runs. I do enjoy your video's. All the V, ZL1, ZR1 Etc that go to the shredder are insane!
I’d consider doing the same if it were an engine for myself, unfortunately that doesn’t fly when you’re selling them 😅
Sweet!!!
Just got recommended this video and it definitely got me subbed 🙌🏼 love the channel man, keep up the awesome content, and can’t wait to see more.
Dumped i definitely agree with haha, but wouldn’t really label it a stancey boi. No crazy stretch, no lip to fender/bacon fender fitment, and not really any camber at all.
It’s a poor attempt at stance, I’ll give it that!
Welcome to the channel!
New to the channel cool stuff I like this.
First time viewer, totally thought you guys planned on repairing and saving this totaled vet, then I watch the chassis go off and you all start talking parts and im like 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 really good info though.
i want to do what fernando does, looks like such a cool job
I thought you'd be repairing the corvette.... but then well , making good money selling the parts is more profitable I guess...
great videos by the way...
I don’t like stanced cars myself but lowered they look good. Mines lowered but not slammed.
Do you sell the exhaust tips or just give away? would love a dual tip on a Gto.
Gotta love a 285 tyre on a 15 x 10 inch wheel

Hey man we need more Porsche action 😀
Lots of Porsche action coming up!
The intro was sick 🤯
Sick is the word most often used to describe stancey mcflush.
Hey have a question to you happen to have a 2003 Honda Accord v6 engine in hood condition Ik you probably don’t dabble around with Honda but just wandering. It’s my first car and also has 600 dollars worth of engine work and I could probably just buy a engine for cheap for all that.
When will the coilovers go on sale on the website? I’ve been looking and can’t see them
i love that white s2000 in the intro:))) my dream car
You better go over to Austin’s s2000 series then!

I have a base convertible C6 myself - but have never heard of a Z51?
I have a C5 and it's hard to get in and out of I can't manage lowering it any more than it is stock.
Love that you spill all the money facts everyone else is so weird about what they paid or sold it for.thanks
Hey if it was some get rich quick business I might keep it to myself, but I’m not spoiling anything 😅
Are the doors, rear hatch with glass and windshield not worth keeping to sell??
Windshield is not because they crack so often coming out. We do have plenty of hatches in stock, they just don’t sell that often. We would’ve kept these doors but they had cracks.
@@scraplifegarage Thanks for the reply!! Totally makes sense!! 👌. Can't wait for the Porsche update 🙌
Working on it this week and the video will be out next week!
Static cars drive fine with good coilovers
Maybe the cars owner hadn't declared that it was crammed, so he took the fuses etc out to stop it running, to hide the fact its crammed, ps great show, loving it here across the pond.
Rebuilding cars can pay off a lot my current car I bought salvaged and we rebuilt it all in I paid the same price as most other camaros however mine only had 25k miles and all the other ones at that price were about 70k+
Cool!!!
This my first time watching a video & i thought they were gonna rebuild it, they had that thing stripped down in minutes 😂
