- LeeC Parts Salvage Stories | When I saw this DESTROYED '20 Ford Mustang GT Bullitt for sale at Copart Salvage Auction, I knew I had to have it!
With some rare parts you can't find on the typical Mustang GT, I'm thinking we may be able to make some money on it even though the car has obviously seen better days!

Im surprised you didn’t take off the chrome trim around the doors and rear quarter panel window, that’s unique to the bullitt
Amazes me that you guys in the US will part this out. Here in the UK that Bullit is an easy repair .... new door, new fender, new rear quarter panel and some paint thats the outside pretty much done. I just bought a '19 with that same damage both sides..... doors and fenders came from LEEC !!! to repair it.
I love watching you guys deconstruct a car. It gives a person the inside view only a crashed car can provide. I go back and forth to Bethany Beach often and would like to stop in for a show and tell next summer.

They're all over YT now, I think most people are hip to it, we block the user when we see them, but when bots are making 1000 accounts per hour it's hard to keep up.

You mentioned that the green stitching would look good on a black car, but they actually made about 10% of the Bullitt in shadow black. I have one and I love it. Factory fully de-badged except the trunk deck badge. Black leather, green stitching, it's awesome.
The glass in those cars will be worth a pretty penny as well ... especially with the supply chain being all jacked up .... seems to be a lot of people waiting these days ... so I imagine that you could move those pretty quick ...

So after you're all done taking parts off it do you get anything for the roughed-up body shell? I assume you can sell it for scrap? Also what about the LED tail lights, did you part those out too? They're expensive.

I do like the modern Bullitt Mustangs! I have had a 07 Parnelli Jones Mustang for many years now. And I am not willing to part with it. So I will have to keep on saving to get one. Back in the late 70's a friend of mine got in a fight with his wife then got drunk and put his 69 RS Z28 that was perfect through a wood farm fence and made it look a lot like this Bullett Mustang! The damage was very similar. Strangely enough that RS Z was a similar green to the Bullitt!

it's a horse or cattle fence board! painted black before the crash , fences are stacked 3-4 boards high so that easily could've been lodged in there by one of the boards
With all the parts you guys deal with I was wondering what kind of inventory system you use? Ive seen some places use car-part/checkmate but your system seems simpler and more effective for an ebay business like you guys are
Good old fashion last 4 digits of the vin, frankly the barcode systems, car-part etc are a waste of time unless you absolutely HAVE to because you're dealing with 500k items. I've entertained it prior and the time commitment to use it effectively doesn't make sense for a business of our size.
@@LeeC That is an incredibly simple solution. I thought with how expensive checkmate was it must be really useful but the more I read about it, it seems like its only good for certain scenarios

Look on the driver and passenger side mirrors ,see if you have blind spot notification in the actual mirrors, that would be the highest equipped you could get... you need to spend a few thousand dollars before you can add the Safe and Smart package.
I've seen one of these, for the price you where paying for perofrmance, it was pretty bland inside.....curious to repair and how it's titled?
Definitely should have had recaros standard!
This one could've been repaired and salvage inspected, but we didn't go that route.

Probably the best base body style (base panels no upgraded panels) scheme/trim on the 2015-2023’s
So sad. The Bullitt is the only Mustang I really lust for. You young guys should have given it the proper respect it deserves prior to its burial. White gloves, reflective silence and deference. At least the heart and soul will live on in a lesser Mustang, which probably doesn’t deserve it.

You said someone really took care of this car. WELL to me 15g miles & the shape it’s in I would say some one ran the piss out of this car & didn’t know how to drive. So saying there’s no rust yet is because basically the car is brand new.

Ok appears Eric don't know anything about rhe bullitts. They are a special color which is dark Highland Green they have special instrument panels, special seats,they are numbered, they have the special wheels and intake, and they all were manual. Along with the obvious badging which u pointed out.
I bought a rebuild title got I was always to scared to drive it alway felt like if I crashed it I would loss my legs

British Racing Green is a plain green, not metallic. You might get a metallic that is the same shade, but it is definitely not BRG.

I'm not much of a car guy but am learning that Mustangs don't drive straight, Subaru gives up the head gasket and apex seals are a fatal design flaw for Doritos..
I’m not gonna lie, that’s pretty much all you need to know
if you floor the mustang it'll go sideways. they are pretty decent daily drivers though. Had my bullitt for about 3, close to 4 years now and no issues, it's easy to control when the back end gets loose when having too much fun.
Kind of a shame that these cars get parted out. Obviously the ones that are wrecked really bad you wouldn’t want back on the road but some of the cars he buys look rebuildable.

Every time I see one of these super nice performance cars all wrecked up all I can think is "Rich idiot who has no clue how to drive". 99/100 I am right. It's these idiots that make it hard for the average joe like me to own one. Cause even if I could spit out 100K for one, I couldn't afford the INSURANCE.
Also, you ever think of using a real computer.. not an Apple? With windows 10/11 you can use Windows Phone Link and wirelessly access the photos on the phone on the computer. No need to plug it in and wear out the plug. And imho 12K for that engine/trans is a fantastic deal. I would buy it if i had the money for sure.
