I dream of having a 3000gt one day and I always pictured doing certain changes on the looks of the car, but I never saw nobody do a build as I imagined.
I found your channel and basically came across my dream car!

I have a 1992 3000gt SL and about $1k in after doing valve seals and timing/water-pump, finished it up right before the cold weather. Just need to fix a fuel leak before I start driving it again
Seeing how good those Kansei KNP rims look on your red 3000gt got me to buy my own, cant wait for them to come in

Yo llevo aproximadamente un año y medio reconstruyendo mi primer Mitsubishi 3000 GT modelo SL transmisión manual año 1991,comprado por página de subasta en EEUU y ya llevo gastado más de $ 18.000 dólares americanos incluida la compra y flete del auto.
Lamentablemente para nosotros en Sudamérica los repuestos o piezas usadas son prácticamente inexistentes algo similar sucede con piezas y repuestos nuevos y al final he tenido que comprar casi todo por Ebay, pero en muchas ocasiones el envío sale mucho más caro que el mismo producto!
Pero bueno ya está reconstruido todo el motor quedando todo el motor a media standard al igual que la caja de transmisión manual, solo falta que mi mecánico monte el motor con la caja de transmisión y que vuelva a funcionar como nuevo.
Así es cuando te enamoras de un auto y en mi caso el Mitsubishi 3000 GT primera generación fue mi primer amor ❤ por los autos y seguiré invirtiendo más dinero para dejar una belleza de deportivo !

I think the pop up head light version looks best but you have gotten this looking great, infact the front almost looks like an FTO with those lights.

Cheers mate, glad you're liking it. No they are the stock fenders... didn't have to do anything to fit them ... wouldn't mind doing flared arches at some point though

Love it I’ve a 1991 sitting on my driveway for around 18months due to a damaged power steering pump tensioner which I couldn’t find a replacement since,if anyone can help that would be much appreciated,by the way from New Zealand I know it’s a long shot but I am a man of great faith and never know,so please help me if you want.cheers and blessings.
Good looking build, but you should probably add a solid timing belt tensioner to your list as well. Those hydraulic ones are prone to failing.

I enjoy your videos. I have a 1995 VR4 Twin Turbo Spyder. The prior owner took care of this car and gave it alot of love. Nothing for the engine had to be done other than cleaning it and changing the fluids. I want to give the car a top of the line paint job. No body work is necessary. Can anyone provide a guide line on what that will cost. Im not looking for an exact number I just don't want o get ripped off.

i love the headlights and corner lights. where can i get those?
The headlights are the 94 3000gt glass oem headlights... I got them from facebook marketplace and them cleaned them up myself. The corner lights I got from ebay, they are clear and not amber covers, then I tinted them

where did you get your diffuser from & are there different styles? I've been trying to find nice lookin one for mine 3k
Got it from z1 motorsports mate, it's a twin z diffuser second Gen. Think this is the only design made by twin z...
So gotta ask about your yellow speed bbk. They actually make the rears for this car or did you put vr4 rear calipers on and the are not fully seated on the rear rotor..I know thats a common thing on SL's
They have front 6 pots 286mm x 26mm, part number is YS02-MT-01A-001, and the rears I used were 4 pot 304mm x 22mm and part number YS02R-MT-10J-018(V).
We did have to add shims to allow clearance for rotors and back spacing as the bracket they provided didn't give enough clearance.
@@_ajdoyle_ cool thx man. I was trying to get the exact same set of brakes for my car for obvious reasons. But didnt know how you finagled the rear calipers.. And mines got vr-4 spindles on the front so that might afect what calipers i need to get.

Did you do anything with suspension? You got rid of the ugly wheel gap
Only thing I did with suspension was get coilovers and they are lowered to an autocross stance.

No, I want it to be a reliable everyday driver but I do have some serious upgrades coming for the NA motor. And something to make the Auto transmission much more exciting to drive

In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolute and complete alarmist BS. There is no impending ban in Germany or the EU or California or New York on gasoline stations and no ban, either planned or implemented, on parts or lubricants for IC powertrains. From 2035 onward the sale of passenger vehicles that produce tailpipe emissions will be banned in the EU, so most gas stations will die on their own after 10 years or so because there will be very little demand for gasoline.
