  • We took the Freelander 2 to Hill 'n' Ditch 4x4's pay and play day in Mouldsworth Quarry on Sunday.
First real test of the Freelander other than some mild lanes around North Wales and all done with 19" all season tyres.
Brilliant day out with tracks and obstacles for everyone!

Cracking video. Looks like a great place to learn more about the Terrain Response system and Freelander 2.

Cheers! It honestly is, I know they themselves do driving tuition from their site, equally it's those specifics we teach at Land Rover Experience too

Going through mud or water seems like a great idea and sure is fun. However, I've learnt not to drive mud or water any more. I certainly wouldn't do it on my Freelander 2 i6. Water and mud get everywhere. Soon enough you'll be replacing wheel bearings etc. Mud especially, gets absolutely everywhere. I guarantee, no matter how you good you think you've jetwashed it, you'll need to remove the wheel arch liners and lower trim on the front wings to get rid of it all.

Is that turbo noise normal with the Freelander 2? I have just got mine and was wondering if I had a split hose.

You can get a bit of air turbulence blow back though the induction system, if it's happening under normal driving situations then it'll be the turbo actuator sticking causing over boost. Mine sticks from time to time when I potter about in it, a few days of hard driving can free it off

Thanks for that, yes it's under normal driving conditions, it's like a blow back sound when I rev hard to change gear, sounds nice to be honest just didn't know if it was normal as this is my first Freelander 2.

Amazing traction control without lockers 👍i love seeing that Freelander2 at work. Have a look on this FL1 how it performs on even with a very poor TC system : ruclips.net/video/AHOWO_ZtwMI/видео.html

@@michael-bg1mr I've made it myself, steel double bed frame cut and welded to fit Inbetween the factory rails. The cross bars are old style roof bar rails cut down to sit inside the frame
