Stunning how easy the LR went up that climb in the beginning of the video. It looked quite slippery. Your reaction was like reading my mind 👍 Very cool. Christian
I love the video Jay Tee, the Landy looks awesome! One suggestion if I may....try to find a gooseneck tow hitch, to protect your rear bumper and give you a safer departure angle . I'm not sure by looking under your car ( in the video) if you've left the spare tire underneath the vehicle. It could get caught in the ruts and rip out other components in the process. Also , you need to be careful when you bang the truck around, as the tire you have on the roof rack can dislodge the rivets that hold it in place( the rack) and start rattling, or damage the roof. Very high centre of gravity for such a heavy wheel, you can secure it inside the cabin, when you go off roading. (I know it looks great on top, but only for city driving) Enjoy your beautiful truck, greetings from Canada! :)
Thanks for the thoughts, I hadn't considered leaving on my tow hitch but that does make sense for bumper protection (as I have pulled the bumper off partially once before). Also thanks for the note on wheel on roof, I would like to get it on a rear carrier.
I am a discovery 3 owner and enjoy your video's, just a question what is the roof rack you are using on your discovery as i after one for my car, and i like the look of the one you have. Thanks David
Old matey in the orange Range doesn't care much for mechanical sympathy! Surely a bit more air down in tyres and would have tackled that easier. Looks like you had great time though
Yep Rangy owner was going full beans, I did have to move a bit quick with the camera. I need to get a good compressor, as I am always reluctant to air down, knowing it takes me 20 minutes to pump back up.
Yes, it would be a great place for something like that, we plan on going again at some point too. There's lots of good bits to get an understanding of how your car works.
@@accesszero4803 I can imagine, there's only a few bits you need to watch out for at hill n ditch, but you'll see them pretty quick. If you were interested in other places too, there's a place called ash 4x4 at Hawkstone park, which is really good for learning your car. I have known the owners there for a long time and they're very friendly.
@@JayTeeCars sound wasn’t a problem to me, as long as the D3 work 😁 Impressed with how you easily “went up the stairs”. Yes, it get less agile when raising the suspension, but you gain so much more with ground clearance. This is a fair trade off as the alternative would be heavy mods and 35” wheels. Guess you had a smooth return home with the same car on the highway 👍
What size tyres are you running pal as I have same alloys on my Disco 3 and did you have any problems with them before you had xlifter (standard if it was) Thanks Rob
Nevermind as I've just looked at your 10 modifications video for the answer, do you think you'll have any problems riding them out if the suspension was to ever fail ??? Great Video's 👍👍👍

Thanks, it is pretty amazing what the D3 can do.
Looks like a good place to go and pretty local for us so might have to take a look at some point. Thanks for the video! 👍
That is by far the best LR product ever produced, despite its reliability issues...
I think more people are coming to appreciate the D3

I just ordered the XLifter for my LR4! Thanks for the great videos! Hopefully you have all positives for the XLifter system!
All good so far with mine.
Good video! I did this in a standard RR P38 about 5 years ago. Good fun!
The site has changed quite a bit in the last 5 years. I must go back again and hopefully next time have a working mic.
Here’s the link to my video if of interest: ruclips.net/video/ctbgJ-6yme4/видео.html
A friend uploaded it - actually 7 years ago! 🤣
Nice Range Rover man!
The orange one!
Errrrr excuse me but its actually a Land rover
@@emtactics8074 SIR, i think there has been a mistake here, but it is actually a Range Rover you mule.
The Jimny on 36’s was just mad

Thanks David, the roof rack is the bottom half of a genuine Land Rover expedition.
Unless you need the extra clearance, the normal LR off road height will give you better articulation.
People simply do not understand. The D3/LR3 is an extremely capable vehicle off road.

Glad you enjoyed!
Would u recommend this place to just a play in my disco 4 , am new to terrain response and just want to have a go and not go nuts

Hi, they are OK when the car is set in access height, not sure if that would be the same on a full deflation.
Why didn't you drive your disco in deep water just like the driver of Toyota land cruiser, to show it's capability
maybe next time. check out our river crossing video.
