There’s nothing wrong with keeping your collection, nice fresh and crispy. It’s your collection that’s the whole part of collecting, it’s what makes you feel good about your collection not anybody anybody else
Doesn’t matter I changed all my comics old new, super new. I changed them all. It’s worth it to me. It is it’s expensive but it’s worth it. Also the clear backing boards that was expensive but it makes the comics pop.
HYDRA COMICS BCW I hear make good bags as well. As long as it’s Mylar it is way better for your books then polypoopylene 💩 Mylar wards off more natural hazards then polypropylene. And why don’t you use boards? Do you want spine ticks? Because that’s how you get them. Lol I’m looking forward to your answer. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@SuperpowerReview how dare you put me on the spot 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣 lol I don't move my books ever once dat mylar hit and you can't get spine ticks when they back to back and can barely move in the mylar 💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥🔥
HYDRA COMICS bro, this comment makes my anxiety crazy. Lol throw at least one back board per book. Pleeeeeeassssseeeeee lol for the love of your books man!
Here is my 45 years of collecting advice. If on a budget, use poly bags and acid-free boards. The most important thing to do is to use acid-free boxes...comics in poly bags in acid-free boxes will last much longer than comics in mylar in cheap boxes. Acid-free boxes should be your first priority.
Nice shirt. mine are all in a saved folder on my pc and after so long they will get deleted. I used to save and store books but it was a hassle to move them from place to place
Thomas Wayne so all your books are on your computer? That’s cool! Not the first time I hear that either. People just want the content and don’t want to be OCD freaks like me trying to keep condition in books. Oh and they also don’t want to pay the crazy prices for books either. Lol
So I had this conversation with a couple other youtubers recently. I found that if you buy in bulk from E Gerber directly you pay the same amount that you would for regular bags and boards. THinking of changin out my entire collection.
TheBoyWhoHad7 Talks Comic Books dude start now! Protect your collection and your investments! You have a much much bigger collection than me. So it will take a you a while.
Entire collection in Mylar over 21,000 did it years ago ALL books now go in Mylar new and old with back boards, Vacuum seal long boxes when full for long term storage been doing this since the late 90s have video if ya want to see. Mylar #1 in my book... Mr. White Gloves Outta Here.....
Wow, that's and awesome collection. What batman issue is that one at the end? The one with the girl running down the hill. Also, what type of boards do you use, I have seen comics that are stained yellowish at the edges. Are those not acid free boards and sleeves then???
Thanks for watching and commenting. The Batman book is Batman 227 featuring Neal Adams cover art. I don’t use crazy expensive backboards anymore. I just find whatever is cheap. Every thing now is acid free. Most companies don’t even advertise it anymore.
@@SuperpowerReview oh, awesome! Thanks so much for the reply. I'll be returning my poly bags for the mylars too. Your recommendations are very helpfull. Really appreciate it.
Superpower Review it is, but when you think about it eventually every comic book is going to go into long storage and at $3.99 to $6.99 a comic i want to protect that investment even if does not go up in value. I comes down to .54 cents to bag and board each comic.
It looked like some of your comics were in top loaders. If so which ones did you use and what size? Did you use a mylar 2 bag/board and place it in the top loader?
CarolinaChris 26 good question. I would guesstimate $100. Luckily some books that I buy already come in Mylar. I wish I would have known about the eBay seller sooner and save a couple of bucks. Thanks for watching and commenting.
adam hussan well I like to use what fits the comic. So I use standard size for silver age books. Current I use for newer books. But if you don’t want to mess around with sizes go with standard it’s a one size fits all sort of deal.
My collection is probably about 4000 books and 95% to 98% in 4mil Mylar bags with acid free fullbacks. Yes it’s expensive but now I can pull out the Mylar with comic and it’s nice and rigid, more so than regular backboards. I never had an issue with the boards.
I've been gradually doing this as well. Need to place a bulk order to E Gerber so Im good for a while. Sorry to hear about the boards, the two packs I started out with I didn't have an issue. the uncanny kyle Waaka another great thing about Mylar bags. They’re crystal clear. 💎 thanks for watching and commenting.
Pro trick : you can watch movies at Kaldrostream. Been using them for watching lots of of movies recently.
@Jared Robert Definitely, been watching on Kaldrostream for months myself :)
I was thinking of using mylites2 7 1/4” bags with a comic proline 7 1/8” 56PT backboards. Will the backboards be too tight when I put a comic inside?

I've noticed that there is something that sticks to the outside of the mylar sleeves, its easily wiped off but I'm just wondering what it might be?
Marcus' muse idk 🧐
A mil is not a millimeter. It is a different unit of measurement. 39.27 mils= 1 millimeter. Those bags wouldn't even be close to 2 millimeters thick.

Does the Mylites 2 Fit TPBs? Particularly the Current Marvel Star Wars Line. Thanks! Kinda new in collecting!

splash page comics woooooow 😦 21,000 books? You must live in a mansion. That’s awesome man! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hi! the mylar bags need the backboard or not? Currently sure, thanks for share your knowledge!
Always board your books.
7:40 what is the name off the sleeves are you use?
Do you think 7 by 10 and a half boards will fit into mylar 7 by 10 and a half bags? Or will it be way to tight?
Crackingwise with WISECRACK to tight. It will rather not fit or it will force the backboard to bow and result bow out your book as well.
@@SuperpowerReview I was just wanting the board to fit right to the edges to give the comic extra protection.
Crackingwise with WISECRACK sometimes being overprotective causes unforeseen damage. 😉

Jeremy Hong yep two boards per mylar bag. Modern books go in a silver age size top loader. Silver age books go in a golden age top loader.
Mylar for life bro!!!
