    Ohhh shut up u haters, had my 2020 first edition 110 and never had any trouble to this day.. it’s has seen snow mud and some light rocks up in big bear trails. They are fine not a RAM Power Wagon but for families they are great suvs

      I agree. My 2020 Defender 110 HSE is almost up to 120,000 miles and its never caused me any trouble. I love it so much that I will get another Defender after my first one. Or I will keep it because I dont have the heart to part with it and just have a second one. lol

    So I see now that they have a V8 in the SE package, I don't really see that anyone has done a comparison with that V8 model, is it something you've looked into?

    I switched from the P400 to the V8 after 6 months and it is a completely different level of driving. The rumbling V8 and the better steering and handling makes it a joy to drive every day.
    The P400 is very nice when revving high, but this does not fit very well to the Defender I think.
    Yet, the price difference is huge and I did it only because I found a good offer.
    But now I enjoy it every single drive. Btw: I prefer the Defender V8 over the Audi SQ7 and even over the new Range Rover P530. I have owned all three and I love the character and sound of the compressor V8 Defender. But I am 42, in 20 years I will probably prefer the Range Rover.

      P.s. And it is more reliable up to now than the Audi. Had huge problems with the Audi brakes

      Hello, congratulations on owning a V8, could you tell me about the fuel consumption of Defender 110 V8?

    • @gt3tfc173
      @gt3tfc173 4 месяца назад

      @@canifW Sure. It is definitely the biggest drawback of the car. But the difference to the P400 is less than expected. Needs only 1-1.5l more per 100km. Needs between 13 and 18l/100km. 18l is city driving or German Autobahn driving, when you can use the power occasionaly. Obviously it can be even more when the highway is empty and you drive constantly 200km/h or more. Which is possible because wind noises and chassis are pretty good compared to a G wagon.
      13l is constant driving between 100 and 120 km/h on Austrian or Switzerland highways.

    I think you made a good choice getting the V6 Defender for your wife but as far as this comparison goes this is like comparing a V6 Grand Cherokee(which I just got 2018 V6 rear wheel drive Summit I live in southeast TX no snow here) to a V8 GC aside from the HP bump there's not that much of a difference.

    V8 = 5700lbs w/ 461 lb-ft @ 2500, V6 = 5100lbs w/ 406 lb-ft @ 2000, the torque to weight is very comparable, and under normal driving will feel almost identical.

    If the car was for you maybe. But since the car is for your wife and baby, I’m sure 400 hp is plenty. I will say, I’d probably rather get the Defender V8 over any G wagen… instant $40-80k in savings depending on if you get the G550 or G63.

    The company has gone bankrupt and was bought out by Tata an indian company that is also losing money due to its reliability and durability. I would of gotten an extended warranty from the company (negotiate extra warranty on the price) because you will need it. First problem, oil leaks, second problem electrical problems (which means it wont start), third is unfixable.

      In Tata's India lineup they are offering 12 vehicles (car/sedan/suv) with more than 100 variants (including EVs) out of which 4 received 5* rating and the remaining 8 have got 4* in Global NCAP also in 2023 June Tata motors became the 2nd largest car manufacturer in India followed by Maruti, so on what basis you are saying this???
      Also want to mention that Tata offers the smallest subcompact crossover suv with 5* Global NCAP rating... In Tata's suv fleet there is a suv called Harrier in which they are using the modified version of Land Rover D8 platform which is used in SUVs worth ~50K USD whereas Harrier comes at a price tag of ~18K USD (Converted)...
      Hope this will clear all your misconceptions regarding Tata motors...

    Sorry Ben...but the mistake was buying a Land Rover product. When I had a young family, their car was a Volvo. Super safe and super reliable. Today I'd still buy a Volvo or a Lexus for a family vehicle. One cannot put a price tag on ones' family never being stranded by a car.

      Today's Volvos have pretty questionable reliability at least according to Consumer Reports and Edmund's consumer reviews. I was strongly considering an XC60 or XC90 for my fiancé, but was turned off by how many people had poor experiences with them. Still the best looking SUVs for the price though inside and out -- stately but not gauche.

    The mistake was that you bought a Land Rover in the first place. Everywhere is documented the unreliability of them, in other RUclips channels and so on...
    For the normal people that buy a car and keep it for 10 years, it doesn't make sense.
    Not everyone is like you, keeping cars for 1-2 years and flipping them afterwards.
    Let's stay on the entertainment aspect and enjoy the reviews, nothing more nothing less...

    Fast shiney steel over price junk all of these manufacturers are crooks, 40 50 60 70 80 thousands of dollars 3 yrs down the road ain't worth $ 19,995 & the tread in is a joke - it's not fair you help the manufacturer sucker the consumers out of their money
