Wow, I thought the comments were exaggerating but to my surprise. Thank you for sharing this information and not bombarding us with filler information and pushing a course on us every second. You should add to your course how to stay compliant and or permits that need to be renewed.. Id buy it quick
Our course absolutely goes over general compliance as far as HOS, and CSA. As an independent freight dispatcher you just need to really focus on HOS compliance. Permits don’t necessarily matter for a dispatcher unless they plan to provide services to help trucking companies obtain those necessary permits.

Yes in the future I will periodically host live calls. As of now I do offer the course in addition to 1 on 1 coaching. 1 on 1 coaching is $100 and includes a 1 hour and 45 mins consultation call via video or phone call.

I tried to purchase a DAT loadboard subscription but because I don’t have a Dot number or an Mc number they wouldn’t let me purchase one no 30 free trials anymore they said if I could provide them with a dispatcher/carrier agreement they might let me purchase a subscription 😮

Ok i can create a dispatch business and i can have more than 1 carrier. I negotiate trips with broker along with monitoring the load and making sure the loads get there on time
I beleive you are meaning to call the shipper the customer, when theyre actually 2 seperate things
What exactly do you mean? The shipper would be considered the customer to the freight broker or to the receiver whether it be residential or commercial. It all depends on your position within freight logistics

Hello! I am interested in dispatching but on one of the videos(not yours) it is mentioned that there are situations when a dispatcher is to lie. e.g. when the truck is late for pick up. My question is if that can be avoided and just be apologetic about it?
I will not send a dispatcher a rate con until I speak with the driver. After I get the trucks phone number, I send the rate to the dispatcher and tell him to go away. They are taught to lie it seems. They lie and actually think we dont know when they are lying. I do not want a dispatcher near any of my loads. One of the little pricks cost me a contract, and 525 dollars in fines from the shipper. Once the rate is negotiated, I deal directly with the truck. I do not know why the truck doesnt just call me directly when he wants to ship again, he could save himself 150 bucks that the dispatcher makes for making one phone call and sending a few bills in when the load is dropped

It depends on the insurance company that offers these type of bonds

I’d say scout the load boards, and build a rapport with freight brokers in the targeted region your looking to find carriers to use your services. After that, go after the carriers and let them know what kind of freight you have access to.
