I was 17 years old when I first listened to this song. I was on a ship called Logos 2. We were in Amsterdam renovating this ship. The year was 1989. This album held space for me and my peers. I would spend the next 4 years listening to your music and being inspired. The boys. Thank you brothers xxx So much love to White Heart and this journey of sound. I was inspired and am now on my own journey of sound. OooooooooSSSShhhhhhh. So good to see this xx

one of the best CCM albums to ever be released. Brown Bannister's production was perfect, and the songwriting was amazingly up to snuff on that record. Got to meet these guys on the tour just previous and some of the nicest people on the planet...

Well done guys! So good to see “The Band” back with Chris, Tommy, Gordon, Rick and Mark. Scott Bernard is the perfect compliment to the original band here. He pays respect to the original arrangements while putting his own signature style on display. Not sure why Billy was a no show but, I’m sure it wasn’t meant to be. Freedom record still stands the test of time and they did it proud this evening.

Someone had left the following comment, but it didn’t pop up, and I decided to add the questions below followed by my response:
Was Mark there on keyboards and other vocals? Which one was the stand in guitar player? Who is that drummer and bass player?
Response: Yes, Mark was there playing the keyboard and singing. The guitarist with long hair is Scott Bernard, who toured with White Heart, but was not on any of the CDs. The drummer is Chris McHugh, who was the original drummer on the Freedom CD. Also, the bass player is the great Tommy Sims!

It was the entire original band that recorded Freedom except Billy Smiley couldn’t make the reunion. His stand in was Scott Bernard, who is a great guitarist! I believe he played on later Whiteheart albums. Since Billy wasn’t there, they called it a ‘cover’ band. The concert was held in Franklin, TN on June 29, 2019. I wish I had an iPhone 12 to capture better sound and video quality. Hopefully, in the next few weeks, I will post video of the pre-concert interviews and singing. Both Tommy and Gordon performed an unplugged version of “Change the World.” Honestly, I thought the whole event was being recorded, and I thought by now it would’ve been published. Since just brief videos have been posted, I decided to post what I recorded.

We sat to the side and met Bart Millard, Mercy Me, who emceed the show. Gersh was on the opposite side of us. Rick DEFINITELY still can move.
