Devon's Riverford Field Kitchen - 8 course lunch & farm tour

- To kick start a a series about the best travelling adventures in Devon and Cornwall, in this video, I visit the Riverford Organic - known for their veg boxes, and dine an 8 course meal at their Riverford Field Kitchen restaurant. After eating maybe a bit more than our tummies were used to, we walk off the lunch by taking a self guided tour of the organic farm.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Devon and Cornwall have to offer. I visited in August 2020 and mostly stayed in Devon - I liked it! Looking forward to seeing what you got up to.

Wow an 8 course meal! I would definitely need a walk around the gardens after that! Looked tasty though. The farm was very pretty and I loved hearing about the green energy sources at the end. The corn on the wall looked incredible - a really creative idea. The fridges providing heat to the underfloor heating is genius - I've never heard of that before. Looking forward to seeing more from Devon and Cornwall in the coming weeks. I can remember driving through Dartmoor National Park last year and thinking that I need to return at some point. Wonderful place!
I feel like we didn't really do Dartmoor justice in the end as we were only there for a long weekend, so like you, I expect I'll be back another time! Where abouts did you visit last year?
@@WhenAdventureKnox Was based in Exeter and got out to Dartmoor, Taunton,
Woolacombe, Paignton, Teignmouth and Saltash. It was a trip to see friends and family so I didn't make any videos - very enjoyable though and a lovely area! Looking forward to seeing what else is about in your videos.

How are you doing mrs Caroline iam very happy to watch your channel because I learn new information explore places unknown to us as always gathering main information about places you visited briefly here it’s field kitchen means mobile kitchen or canteens or food truck used by militaries to troops near frontline in temporary encampment Devon shire is county south west England borders Bristol Channel south bounded by Cornwall to west north east semerset East Dorset ford is shallow place with good footing where river or stream maybe crossed by wading or inside vehicle getting wheels wet ford may impassable during highwater. Low water crossing is low bridge allows crossing. Over river or stream when water is low may covered by deep water when river is high stay blessed good luck to you your dearest ones bon voyage
Oooh I never thought of 'field kitchen' as being a temporary kitchen set up for the likes of troops... but this is very true - but I guess not why it's called the Riverford Field Kitchen. You're 100% right about the ford's - they're always found in rural/countryside areas and always with signs to warn drivers. So pleased you enjoyed this video

Hi Ivor, thank you so much for your kind words... though they made creating a splendid review very easy as the food was SO good, the staff were lovely and the setting so peaceful and enjoyable! I really do want to go back, would happily visit in all seasons, though autumn food is my favourite by far. So pleased you enjoyed this video 🙏
