Hamas supporters have long operated in the United States. Internal Hamas documents and FBI wiretaps introduced as evidence in various federal criminal cases clearly show the existence of a nationwide Hamas network engaged in fundraising, lobbying, education and propaganda dissemination dating back to the 1980s. • The network formalized its existence in 1988, when it created the Palestine Committee in the US. The Committee’s goals included “increasing the financial and the moral support for Hamas,” “fighting surrendering solutions,” and publicizing “the savagery of the Jews.”

I don't know what you wanna call "antisemitism", but seeing videos of Oct 7 massacre and barbarism that Hamas uploaded to their website themselves and then denying anything like that happened! Taking down kidnapped victims with the excuse that it's not real and it's all propaganda and joining Muslims all around the world -who's Muslim countries wouldn't allow Palestinian refugees because they know their history in countries they were welcomed to before - to protest against Israel by chanting "from the river to the sea Palestine will be free" and didn't face any backlash were definitely not only antisemitism which was even heartbreaking and infuriating to people like me who are neither Jewish/Israeli/Even religious anymore nor have anyone related to that religion or country because that was just inhumane. So of course you can state your opinion about antisemitism, but those universities not only allowed all that to happen in their campuses, they even encouraged it and turned a blind eye on Jewish/Israeli students getting hate. Maybe the backlash could be over so much these people already did and their testimony was the last nail in the coffin. My terrorist regime is helping Hamas or maybe even organized the attack on Israel but the fact that me and many Iranians are supporting Israel is the fact that we've been exposed to so much propaganda, we can see it from a mile away. Their women got raped and UN women didn't even care enough to condemn them. As someone living under oppression that goes back forty five years, I'd say the world turned antisemitic. Not just these people.
This behavior on university campuses is weird and puzzling. For a while now universities, which are supposed to be places of learning and exchanging of ideas through critical thinking and debates, it seems have been anything but that. I remember not too long ago when there were "safe rooms" with toys or stuffed animals--something like that, for students who were 'triggered' by ideas obviously too painful for discussion. I thought then, and now--that is creepy! Put your big boy and big girl pants on and get a grip. There are two sides to this horrific war and, no easy answers. Wouldn't it be great if students convened some sort of group-think throughout universities, to try to bring real discussion and possible solutions to this problem. Practice for future real-world leadership. The leaders of these institutions should not tolerate one-sided thinking and "safe rooms" on a university campus. Imho.

The perceived problems of the influence of Islamic regimes (Iran, Qatar, Turkey..) and dictatorships(Russia, China..) on the UN include: Human Rights Concerns: Some Islamic regimes and dictatorships have been criticized for human rights abuses, and their influence may hinder the UN's ability to address such issues objectively. Selective Focus on Issues: The influence of certain regimes might lead to a selective focus on issues that align with their interests, potentially neglecting other critical global matters. Biased Resolutions: There is concern that the influence of specific regimes may lead to biased resolutions, favoring their perspectives and unfairly targeting certain nations or groups. Suppression of Dissent: Regimes with authoritarian tendencies may use their influence to suppress dissenting voices within the UN, limiting open discourse and the exchange of diverse opinions. Obstruction of Peace Efforts: The interests of certain regimes might obstruct or complicate UN-led peace efforts, particularly in regions where these regimes have strategic interests. Failure to Address Terrorism: Some Islamic regimes accused of supporting or harboring terrorist groups may escape adequate scrutiny, hindering the UN's ability to effectively address global terrorism. Undermining Democratic Values: Dictatorships may undermine the promotion of democratic values within the UN, potentially impeding efforts to strengthen democratic governance globally. Misuse of UN Resources: There are concerns that regimes with significant influence may misuse UN resources or manipulate the organization for their own political agendas. Lack of Accountability: The influence of certain regimes may contribute to a lack of accountability, with inadequate consequences for actions that violate international norms and laws. Polarization and Division: The influence of specific regimes may contribute to increased polarization and division within the UN, making it challenging to build consensus on critical issues. But it does not bother you, as long as they continue focusing on anti-Israel resolutions, does it

wiretaps introduced as evidence in various federal criminal cases clearly show the existence of
a nationwide Hamas network engaged in fundraising, lobbying, education and propaganda
dissemination dating back to the 1980s.
• The network formalized its existence in 1988, when it created the Palestine Committee in the

“fighting surrendering solutions,” and publicizing “the savagery of the Jews.”

L. Nice try tho
That's where you're wrong. If you disagree with jews and zionists, you are anti-semitic. No getting around it.
Imho.
On the other hand maybe you better stand up and loudly support Israel no matter what they do for the 2 minute hate. otherwise you'll have to go before congress to answer for your crime of not supporting Israel.

How is this about protecting free speech when if a student makes a derogatory comment about someone's weight or if a student gets someone's pronouns wrong that is considered violent and abusive behavior subject to disaplinary action including expulsion and screaming at and calling for genocide of the Jewish students acceptable behavior
Because when a student makes a derogatory comment about someone's weight, that's just one student. But when students scream for genocide of you-know-who, that's hundreds or thousands, and they have many millions behind them.

Israel has a right to defend itself. However, they have ignored 26 UN resolutions with only the US vetoing for a two state solution. When Britian gave up the land back in 1948, it was agreed upon to create one Israeli and one Muslim state? Israel has been building on the disputed land and there's barely any left for another state.
The perceived problems of the influence of Islamic regimes (Iran, Qatar, Turkey..) and dictatorships(Russia, China..) on the UN include:
Human Rights Concerns:
Some Islamic regimes and dictatorships have been criticized for human rights abuses, and their influence may hinder the UN's ability to address such issues objectively.
Selective Focus on Issues:
The influence of certain regimes might lead to a selective focus on issues that align with their interests, potentially neglecting other critical global matters.
Biased Resolutions:
There is concern that the influence of specific regimes may lead to biased resolutions, favoring their perspectives and unfairly targeting certain nations or groups.
Suppression of Dissent:
Regimes with authoritarian tendencies may use their influence to suppress dissenting voices within the UN, limiting open discourse and the exchange of diverse opinions.
Obstruction of Peace Efforts:
The interests of certain regimes might obstruct or complicate UN-led peace efforts, particularly in regions where these regimes have strategic interests.
Failure to Address Terrorism:
Some Islamic regimes accused of supporting or harboring terrorist groups may escape adequate scrutiny, hindering the UN's ability to effectively address global terrorism.
Undermining Democratic Values:
Dictatorships may undermine the promotion of democratic values within the UN, potentially impeding efforts to strengthen democratic governance globally.
Misuse of UN Resources:
There are concerns that regimes with significant influence may misuse UN resources or manipulate the organization for their own political agendas.
Lack of Accountability:
The influence of certain regimes may contribute to a lack of accountability, with inadequate consequences for actions that violate international norms and laws.
Polarization and Division:
The influence of specific regimes may contribute to increased polarization and division within the UN, making it challenging to build consensus on critical issues.
