Aw man, Room is a pretty good book! One of the first adult novels I've ever read. The movie is really good too. it's about a woman who's held captive in a room and abused for years by a man who kidnapped her when she was a teenager, and she has a 5 year old son, who she plans to have escape the room. The story is told from the little boy's perspective.
I am really struggling with my anxiety these days, can't make decisions, always getting trapped into dilemma's. But, Emma your videos are really helping me get through this tough times and calm my nerves and my mind. so thank you very much for making such beautiful videos ❤❤

Hi Emmie - there is a reason to hang on to that first version of Leaves of Grass, unless you’re really really short on space - Whitman definitely wanted the final edition to be the one people remembered him by, but an accident of publishing brought the 1855 edition back out in the mid-twentieth century, and it was event that completely revitalized Whitman’s reputation & especially influenced the younger generation of poets in America and Britain. I think there were enough differences in the actual poems as they’d originally been published, that poets in their twenties were much more energized by them. The deathbed edition was a contemplative look back; the first edition a call to awaken. So that 1855 version is in some ways a totally different book, and one writers in the 1950s thought of as the one written for them.

The way you talk about Castle in the Clouds reminds me of another wintery German book called Frostfeuer (Frostfire) by Kai Meyer. They are probably two very different kinds of stories, but I think the way Castle in the Clouds makes you feel is the way Frostfeuer makes me feel. Emma, wanted to share, my darling mother is 75 and in the moderate stages of Alzheimer's dementia. She cannot live alone any longer and is confused a lot of the time. She knows she is losing her memory and that reality is very hard on her. We recently moved in with her to help her through and keep her at home as long as we can before she'll have to go into a memory care facility. She can't read on her own any longer, she forgets what she reads moments after she turns the page. I can read aloud to her, but only a few pages at a time or she loses the story again. The name of the game is keeping her present and distracted from her disease and your videos have been so helpful in that quest. They are one of the few things that keep her calm and happy. It's pretty much Anne Murray, Peter Paul and Mary, recordings of my dad's folk music, our dog ....and Emmie videos. Thank you for what you do, you bring so much joy in ways you may not even realize. Emma, wanted to share, my darling mother is 75 and in the moderate stages of Alzheimer's dementia. She cannot live alone any longer and is confused a lot of the time. She knows she is losing her memory and that reality is very hard on her. We recently moved in with her to help her through and keep her at home as long as we can before she'll have to go into a memory care facility. She can't read on her own any longer, she forgets what she reads moments after she turns the page. I can read aloud to her, but only a few pages at a time or she loses the story again.
The name of the game is keeping her present and distracted from her disease and your videos have been so helpful in that quest. They are one of the few things that keep her calm and happy. It's pretty much Anne Murray, Peter Paul and Mary, recordings of my dad's folk music, our dog ....and Emmie videos.
Thank you for what you do, you bring so much joy in ways you may not even realize.
