I've got the flashing red light. I know my coolant is full and I've replaced the sensor. I'm replacing the thermostat tomorrow is there anything else I can check?
sam sung Hey! Mine does not have a plug either. I usually drain it by pulling off the lower radiator hose. In this video I just let it drain from the thermostat housing. Good luck!

Do you think it matter if the thermostat is fitted with the structural legs horizontal or vertical ?

It's may be late to answer, but the flashing red light (about overheat) is a typical problem with the T4, you got to check the dashboard weldings.
hi i have 1997 caravelle t4. i wonder how do i drain water from the radiator. i can not find the drain plug
