Hi Paul- Great memorial shave in honor of Jill, well done and thank you! Lovely flowers from Mrs H, as always! Best regards and see you on Sunday for the weekend shave. All the best, Paul!
Very nice video Paul, and a nice tribute to Jill Snoddon. She seemed like such a kind human being. Well, since you ask: My last shave was yesterday. I used a Gillette SS Red Tip, Mühle blade, Semogue 830 Boar brush, Razorock Dead Sea soap, Mühle Alum block, and a combination of 444 Aftershave Balm and Razorock XXX Aftershave splash. The red tip I took over from my father, now 84. He now uses cartridge razors only, but it amuses him that I keep using some of his old shaving gear. Have a great day everyone! Greetings from Norway :)
Nicely done Paul💈💈 Dedication to Jill honorable, RIP. She was a pioneer, the only lady face shaver AFAIK. I have both versions of the vintage Aristocrat, the earlier un-notched and the later notched center bar😊 Both are very efficient shavers IMO😬 Soap sticks can be surprisingly good, many choices👌 Mrs H does it again, beautiful arrangement😎 SOTD: PAA Cube, Hub City "Red Cabin in the Woods" soap/splash, RazoRock BC syn brush, Rocnel Elite razor w/Gillette "Swede" blade, alum, Thayers witch hazel and AV 5 in 1 balm....Glorious👍 Great video once again, always fun. Enjoy!
This channel is great ... not only is Paul empathetic, nice, polite etc ... but the people that post are as well. It's great when people like Jill and Paul share the hobby and their life with us. Shaving is a zen moment in a crazy world so thanks for the channel and content. Be safe and have a great week!
Great tribute shave for Jill Snodden. May she rest in peace. My condolences to her family and everyone that have to the great privilege that got to know her. Stay safe.
You are a class act Paul - beautifully done! As a note, yes I admit that towards the end of my shaves I silently say in my mind “It’s pickup time baby...”
I was only going to get one razor, one soap and one brush.15 months later i've got 5 razors,8 brushes and 12 soaps.I don't know what happened but i'm glad it did.Haha.Great shave Paul.RIP Jill.
Fitting that you chose the Aristocrat razor. I just watched an old video of yours from July 18, 2018 and you used that same razor. I scanned the comments and Jill left two comments... first was complimenting Mrs H on the flowers and second was that she had used her Aristocrat razor the previous night for a BBS and it was one of her favorite vintage Gillettes. Nice tribute, Paul.
Hi Paul, my setup in memory of jill: Rasozero Agrumella, Omega black hi brush, Fatip slant bar open comb, gillette platinum blade and Proraso white balm. Thanks to Jill from Italy.
Beautiful flowers, Mrs H. Brilliant video, Mr H. It's sad news that Jill passed away but, as you said, she wouldn't want us all to be gloomy. She has gone to a better place and will definitely liven up Heaven with her stories, advice and humour. God bless you, Jill, and thanks for all the hard work that you put into sharing your shaving experiences with us.
A very nice shave, Paul. It’s going to be strange not seeing Jill’s comments anymore. She was always such a fan of Mrs. H’s flower arrangements too. A bright light definitely went out in our community. RIP Jill ❤️
Hi Paul Great videos again. Yes I had a Parker 22l to start and one soap. Then I discovered your expertise 1O brushes and 30 soaps later ...15 de razors and 30 aftershaves. 800 de blades. Only 1 alum Blok. Love Humphreys cucumber and boots tea tree oil. Arko moisturing cream and Nivea still best. Many happy videos.
It will be sad not having Jill's comment in the comments section of this and future videos :´( She really had great charisma and was an enthusiast of this hobby. Very nice of you to dedicate the wednesday shave to her. She would love Mrs H flower arrangement, as she always did and complimented. My SOTD today was Gillette Slim Twist, Voskhod blade #2, Omega 10290 boar brush, Proraso sandalwood shave cream and Floïd Vigoroso after shave. Have a great rest of the week!
Nice shave for Jill. We where celebrating our wedding anniversary, i got a old Wardonia razor from my wife, as a gift. I got a vintage Gillette brush on the way, and i recived some Schick double two double edge razor blades, i will test out, in my next video. 😁👌
Hi Paul, that was a lovely tribute video to the memory of Jill. The flowers were beautiful and the music at the end was nicely done. I didn't know Jill very well but had looked at some of her videos. What stood out for me was how many comments she would leave. She must have devoured shaving videos every day. All the best, Paul.
Great tribute shave Paul. RIP Jill😪 thank you for your contribution to the community. I enjoyed stumbling across her comments would bring a smile to my face. I appreciate all the effort that yourself and Mrs H puts in to your channel and your Facebook group.🙏👍👌
God bless Jil and all those who loved her. What do you mean this is a more expensive way to shave, I got some blades for less than 19 cents a piece. Oh maybe it's the 16 razors I bought since I started wet shaving 8 months ago, and two on the way... Love it!!!

Good shave Paul!! Jill will absolutely be missed. She is a pioneer in the community, and I hold a load of respect for her. Plus, she was a veteran. Thanks for the dedication!
Hello Paul, I've meant to comment before, but when you asked in this video if anyone received anything new I felt I had to now. I just received yesterday my new Christopher Bradley brass, open comb razor with the "B" plate. Very excited to use it for the 1st time. I have a soap combination that I recently "created" too. I mixed 2 parts Stirling Obsidian with 1 part Cella original scent. This makes for a really wonderful soap. I found Obsidian by itself a bit much, as far as the scent goes. I love the menthol. Add the cherry-almond of the Cella and it gives a very deep, rich aroma of black licorice. And of course Stirling soaps are top notch, so it's a great combo. I call it Black Cherry, for obvious reasons. So that's the SOD, with a Feather blade in the new razor. Thanks for you videos. I really enjoy them.
Good evening Paul! Lovely and fitting flowers for the tribute shave...thank you Mrs. H!! Kevy broke the news about the sad passing of Jill on Sunday during his live shave. You are a kind and compassionate man...always putting others ahead of your own needs. Jill would have appreciated your gesture. Wednesday shave includes two of my favorites shaving products: La Toja shaving stick and the Gillette Aristocrat razor. La Toja has an unique scent, sort of laundry soap-ish. I think it has mineral salts and I find it helps with the weepers. The 1946/47 Gillette Aristocrat shaves like a dream; smooth, close, and comfortable. SOTD: 1955 Gillette Red Tip razor loaded with a 1968 Schick Krona-Chrome blade (3rd use). Fine American Blend shaving soap lathered with a That Darn Rob 26 mm BOSS synthetic. Traditional 3 pass shave plus pick-ups. Finished with Thayer's AF SF skin toner and PAA CaD aftershave. It was a FINE result...lol...BBS and smelling great! Paul, there are a lot of us traditional shavers who chase the BBS each and every shave...it isn't really OCD but standards of a great shave. Looks like you have an enjoyable shave. Again, thanks for the tribute shave and sharing it with us. Take care.
I finally bought and used the Merkur Futur. I coveted this razor ever since I watched you use it many years back. Excellent razor. This was a wonderful video. May she rest in peace. Cheers.
Paul, you have many cool razors, there in London it's easier to get them, here in Mexico I like your videos, your razors and your brushes, the soaps look very cool.
Paul, you spoke the Truth! I bought a cheap Baili/Weishi TTO to start and now own VB Crusader "Ragnarr" (2), a Merkur Futur clone, a Rockwell 6C, and a Merkur 34C long handle! I spent about $30.00 on hundred packs of blades. I like Feather blades (got them in a sample pack). If you're just starting out, always go for the sample packs! They will save you time and money.😁Oops! I forgot the Weishi TTO long handle.
RIP Jill. I often would scroll through the comments on your videos Paul just to see her comments actually. She always had a lovely comment for Mrs H too. Very sad.
Beautifully done! Jill would have enjoyed both the shave and Mrs. H’s lovely arrangement! I’m always amazed at just how good the shaves are with vintage razors!
Such a shame that Jill has passed and a fitting tribute shave Paul. SOTD is Merkur 34c Treet platinum blade TOBS sandlewood shave cream old spice aftershave and Nivea men Creme beautiful flowers from MrsH as always enjoy your day all the best
Great shave. I’m trying out the Gillette Nacet as the last blade in the blade sample series. It was also Jill’s favorite blade, and I hope it does me well. I’m also currently hunting for a vintage Gillette in antique stores in my area. I hope I find luck in the search. Rest in paradise Jill. Wish she was still here with us. She was cool to watch, and now I’m gonna miss her
Very sad news. RIP Jill and condolences to her family and friends. SOTD for me was Merkur 34C with Astra Green blade (3rd and last use), Proraso sandalwood pre shave, TOBS “Luxury” cream, followed by Nivea two phase lotion and Bulldog after shave balm. Very nice 👍🏻
Good morning and greetings from Hamburg, I love watching your channel and got a good laugh when you said the part about saving money and how it can go the other way around. I'm guilty for that too. But also loving the new hobby and having a much better shave even my family is picking on me about the way the hobby is going. Have a great day stay safe and healthy
That's really sad about Jill. She seemed like a wonderful person. I agree with another comment, I reckon she would be been great to have a few drinks with. RIP Jill. Nice touch paying tribute Pauly 😉

Another great video. I've only been watching shaving videos for a short time. I never saw any of the "She Shaves" videos. After watching a couple I can say that she was quite a character. You are so right about DE shavers starting out to get a better shave and to save money over using cartridge razors. Blades are so cheap at 6 to 20 cents per blade. So the cost per shave can be 1 to 5 cents. Sadly, it doesn't end there. Once you get hooked on wet shaving with DE razors, the rabbit hole is wide and deep. There seems to be no end to razors, brushes, shaving soaps, preshaves, postshaves, and all the other accessories. But it is a fun and enjoyable hobby. BTW, do you think that small nick you got was because you pushed that blade to four uses? I'll see you on Sunday.
Lovely dedication Paul 👍💈 RIP Jill I remember when she first started her channel 😪 Does look a dodgy drink that witchhazel 🤣 Gorgeous flowers Mrs H 💐 Have a good rest of the week both 💈💐💈

I am quite certain that Jill would have wholeheartedly approved of your performance and words esp.( "Don't Judge Others...")in this Tribute. In fact, that sounded like something she might have said. So, wherever she may Ms Snoddon Rest In Peace...
Water first, then witch hazel or alum, alum can sting though....(both are good for the skin) then a good balm or moisturiser, aftershave is not important really, just a luxury.
I think Jill is looking down on us and smiling at us she would have loved Mrs H flowers SOTD was the 34C with a Bic Astor blade and Godrej the bic surprised me a good shave no nicks or cuts
Even though I've seen them before, I want a Gillette Aristocrat now, and it may have been you who turned me on to the LA Toja shaving soap stick. All the best.
hello Mrs. H., and Paul. What sad news. I, too, would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to her family, and loved ones. Jill Snoddon was a charismatic, knowledgeable, master of wet shaving. I have seen her videos, and also, discussed a particular safety razor on a Badger and Blade forum with her. She was an active member of the wet shaving community, with great insights/perspective, and a museum-like collection of safety razors. She seemed like the endearing kind of person with whom I would love to have a chat, chuckle, and drink(s). Rest in Peace, Ms. Jill Snoddon. We will miss you, and remember you.
Paul that was a very fitting tribute to Jill she would of loved it
Oh dear, had no idea Jill passed away...

I found me a brand new bottle of faberge brut on ebay and i cant wait to smell it my dad used to wear it when it back in the 70’s and 80’s my mom said
I am waiting couple days because I will be honing my straight razor I different was and if it work it will be a game turner and I will make a video

Yes, I can't tell any difference between them.
que descansa en paz nuestra amiga Jill , que Dios la tenga en su santa gloria
What do you mean by backbone ?
Strength of the knot on the brush.
PaulHFilms I prefer softer brush
I am quite certain that Jill would have wholeheartedly approved of your performance and words esp.( "Don't Judge Others...")in this Tribute. In fact, that sounded like something she might have said. So, wherever she may Ms Snoddon Rest In Peace...
I went from saving money to shaving money.
A very true statement by “The Real Barber”
Savage
haha yes I did spend more money in 4 months now that I am a wet shaver then in the 50 years I was shaving with plastic razors
I love that phrase VERY ACCURATE and catchy
Amongst the first 😉 Jill would have loved this.
What’s the best thing to put on after you have had a shave can you tell me
Water first, then witch hazel or alum, alum can sting though....(both are good for the skin) then a good balm or moisturiser, aftershave is not important really, just a luxury.
PaulHFilms ok m8 will try that

A hobby costs money, and there are many hobbies that cost a lot more! :)
Even though I've seen them before, I want a Gillette Aristocrat now, and it may have been you who turned me on to the LA Toja shaving soap stick. All the best.
It's a nice razor Don, great soap isn't it, all the best too :-)
La toja, fatip piccolo for next video, friend
I got 5 soaps from Razo Rock on the way 😁
