my mans just sitting there getting asmr'd out of his mind
I would be there with my eyes rolled into the back of my head after 5mins, the dude did well.
Lmao hell yea
Lolol
@Mr Sloth you'd start morphing into a suit
basically hypnotised
Gus fring is quite nice to Jessie in this episode
Hahahahhaha I was thinking the same thing he reminds me so much of Gus
LOL.
EXACTLY! Too bad his suit looks like something from Wal-Mart.
'Let me cut the fabric. Bitch.'
Ahhh 🤣🤣🤣 you a fool Joe.
It’s incredible how rarely, if ever, he says umm or uh. An eloquent speaker. Dude does not waste any movements. I could listen for hours.
He says uh a bunch of times what are you even talking about
@@johnnyj9899 that’s why he said rarely.
At least twice in the first 40 seconds perhaps more but i think those are A not UH
Excellent point! I used to work in tech and finance sales over the phone. It was only in my 10th year (and several companies later) that I met a mentor who drilled in me to condition myself to never use "uhhh" "um" especially "uhh" though. Record yourself if you can and train to remove those awful words- you will sound better, more pleasant, more firm, more confident, and more engaging, and THAT is what creates trust and relationships😻 Listen, then reply with confidence 😻
@@johnnyj9899 You don't get the West Indian accent. He isn't saying uh.
"A lot of the work I do is crafted by hand; very little machine work. As you will come to learn...Mr. Bond."
🤣🤣
The name is Tailor, Tailor Swift.
😅
this dude it basically a bond villain, if he was secretly going to destroy the world I'd believe it and believe nobody stopped him
Haha. So accurate. This man has more style than Bond, himself
I love listening to people speak passionately about their craft, no matter what it is.
wasn't speaking very passionately at all.
@@thecanadakid7622 This is passion, not hysteria.
@@bond-suits agreed he has passion in his voice and he doesn’t just speak very loudly which is so rare. People like him are just amazing since being a tailor and a cutter for suits is a hard job and is so hard to find good ones like him. His job is one that AI I think won’t and can’t replace since you can’t rush this art and can’t stress the fabric at all or something can and will go wrong
@@thecanadakid7622 you have no idea what passionate speaking sounds like if you think he’s not supper passionate about his work
Absolutely
Shout out to the interviewer for letting him speak instead of interrupting all the time. When you have a master of their craft talking you just let them do the majority of the talking. Something late night hosts should learn.
Couldn't agree more.
He’s in ASMR heaven
For context, this isn’t an interview, this is a student in a master class listening to his teacher. The questions come at the end of the lesson. Agree, I could listen to this man talk all day long.
Not an interviewer. One of his apprentices.
@@VeryVocalPro in fairness, in my experience in higher learning, questions often come before the end of the lesson. however, this is usually because of a lack of detailed explanation by the professor/teacher prompting such questions. in this video, we can clearly see that since the teacher is explaining his craft so well, none of the questions are "clarification" questions but rather "hunger for more" ones, the mark of the effect of an excellent teacher
There is something truly special listening to someone who is master of their craft. This is the result of a lifetime of dedication to a skillset. Relaxing, fascinating, captivating. I love this.
Agreed. How wonderful are these masterclasses
I just want his fucking suit.
It brings me back to learning from machinists as a young apprentice. I'd sit there for hours listening and watching and they loved to teach. Good years of my life.
I could listen to Ramroop talk about lapels and the shape of his “Callah” for hours
Get a life
I'll never make a suit and probably never wear a bespoke suit, but this is still fascinating
I think we all love watching a master working on their craft is so soothing
Well,,, someday you will. Hopefully. If your life become successful, you will. I bet.
@@katernets1 success should be measured by happiness, not being able to afford a suit.
@Cameron Branford Not hating on anyone! Just replying with my differing view.
Artist, craftsman, showman, educator, entrepreneur, OBE, and gentleman through and through. Andrew Ramroop is the embodiment of why "the suit" will never die.
he's a Kingsman through and through.
Ram poop 💩
speaking of which, looks like you need your pants refitted. looking a little tight.
Everything dies
@@piggerGg -- Everyone dies. Not everyone really lives.
6:32 Must be so gratifying to hear "very good question" from a master of the craft
I have seen rich people wearing suits that are pretentious this man is just elegant simplicity
Money can not buy you Class.
@@inisipisTV nah class is made up, this man is zen like simplicity
Eight people at topshop felt so outclassed they felt dutybound to dislike this brilliant vid.
Its the competition, probably.
I knew these were hand-made suits but I never realized just how hand made...this process has probably changed very little for centuries. Absolutely fascinating.
Yeah, I was like "wait, *every* seam is hand stitched?!?!"
And thats why these costs thousands of dollars lol
More like decades
Changes decently often because fashion changes decently often with the methods adapting to the materials being used
His passion for this, his sincere dedication to the art of tailoring, is deeply admirable.
This is like Da Vinci talking to you about how he paints; this is truly a gift to the world!
There is something wholesome to see someone truly enjoy what they do
Proud of this Trinidad and Tobago son of the soil. International man of distinction!
70year old woman here...this was recommended for me why? But here I am enthralled! Sheesh.
Do you sew at all? Look at people's sewing and craft rooms? I do (62) - making my clothing for almost 50 years. The fact that I'm obsessed with tailoring and tailoring videos probably helped throw this into your que.
M'am, it's just for you to have pleasure of listening to a well spoken, eloquent man with a plesant voice ;)
Cheers!
You have been captured by THE ALGORYTHM!
@@tinamcnalley2575 closest I get to this , is knitting, crocheting and tunisian crochet work! Probably what got me here though! Thing is...I have a dreadful fear of needles! Even therapy hasn't helped! Lol
@@jacekmak87 true! He is special.
Every teacher, no matter the subject, should aspire to be as precise, concise, thorough and worthy of respect as this professor.
I love the manner in which Mr. Ramroop speaks. His speech is so precise and sharp, but somehow still manages to be extremely relaxing. And what a master of his craft! Pure class.
I could listen to Andrew talk about this stuff all day!
His name is Maurice.
No he's called Andrew
@@poooseymama21 no, Maurice.
@@b4d69 wrong. His name is Maurice.
@@b4d69 you are wrong. Stop spreading RUclips conspiracy theories and fake news. You probably also believe that the election was stolen and that COVID is fake. Just stop it.
Andrew Ramroop is an artist, a mathematician, a sculptor and a gentleman. What a genuinely cool person, and who knew tailoring was so fascinating! This is awesome. :)
I've wanted to make my own suit for many years now, and I finally got the confidence to do it after ignoring my family and friends telling me it's a waste of time. Thanks for posting these for people like me.
good luck king 🙌
Watching TV and hobbies are a waste of time, but not many people complain about that. If you want to do it you should definitely go for it. I want to try sewing a suit myself.
How did it go
Go for it! Never deny a passion or curiosity, hope it went well!
I could listen to this man say the word Sartorial for an hour straight.
lmao
I never really liked listening to dudes talking in asmr- i just prefer noises and such but wow I can listen to this man talk about anything.
Me, too.

Lol i was the same until i discovered Dr T asmr

He has a voice that makes you stop and listen to him. Authority and a lifetime of knowledge.
This fellow has a natural, ASMR voice.
well i wouldn't subscribe to him as an ASMR voice, he knows his subject obviously, but the tone of his voice isn't in the Bob Ross class
@@MrPhilfridge you don't have to have a voice like the ASMR King to have a natural ASMR voice.
@@McRocket Of course not, but in your opinion you think he has a natural ASMR voice i strongly disagree. I find his tone neither relaxing or calming. There are some great exponents on you tube but for me this guy is not one.
@@MrPhilfridge Fine. But comparing him to the King is silly. That's like saying a Camaro sucks because it's not as good as Corvette.
I think he has a natural, ASMR voice - and 50 (thumbs up) people agree with me.
You don't agree - fine.
@@McRocket . 50 likes wow, that must make you the most popular cat in school . Your final four words are the only relevant ones, the penny drops- i don't agree with you, and i'm sorry but every opinion is valid, even ones different from your own.
I swear to God when I have the money for a bespoke suit I hope to be able to fly to london and see Mr Ramroop.
Don’t swear to God, rather call upon God for salvation from your sins.
That would be amazing. I’ve had 3 made - 2 in Singapore and 1 in Seoul. The one in Seoul was a pretty fancy place and think they knew their stuff... but this guy is on another level. But a suit that fits perfectly is a pretty sweet experience.
Ram Poop 💩 Also god doesn’t exist ^
You and me too, my friend!!👍👍👍
Man I'd never be able to afford anything like this. But mad mad respect to people who hand make stuff like this. And I Hope the skill and tradition of it never dies.
Just a privilege and a pleasure to hear a real master speak about the tools of the trade. Something that has drawn me enough to make two trips all the way from India to Savile Row in the last four odd years. Real arbiters of taste, excellence and craftsmanship. Great to have met you and worked with you Prof. Ramroop !!!!
Any day there is new Andrew Ramroop content is a good day. If was the trainee I would have a hard time staying awake.
this is the most fluent, informative tailoring video I've seen on RUclips in the last 10 years. If Professor RamRoop were generous enough to make more of these, it would be an inestimable benefit to the profession
@K R that's very kind, thank you
Maurice is a true British tailor, a classic artisan for the modern day.
Watching people take pride in their trade always warms my heart.
There’s nothing quite like listening to a master talk about his craft.
He has an amazingly relaxing voice, and his expertise as a Tailor is evident and mesmerizing.
Mr Sedwell clearly chose his successor magnificently well. What a Master this guy is.
Savior Row Academy selling the fabrics is absolutely genius. Good on all of you tailors for taking care of your suppliers.
The guy’s suit is a perfect fit. What an advert for a tailor. 👏🏻👏🏻
Making a suit for this master tailor is the final exam in an apprentice’s education.
When I watch graceful, elegant people like this it makes me so aware of how tense and spazzed out I am all the time.
Wow. I felt that

This is just amazing and Andrew is truly a gifted master and what he does. I can listen to him all day I just wish he would make more videos and show us some more of his great work even though i will most likely never be able to afford one of his creations I still love to see and his work and dream about it when i seen it.
This guy could talk about hemorrhoids and I'd still find it fascinating and relaxing
John James needles are wonderful to work with. I break with tradition by wearing the thimble on my ring finger since thats the finger I actually push with. I like how he explains about the threads. Most people don't know about that. Years of experience dropping gems of knowledge here.
Omg look at the shoulder of his suit jacket.
Bucket list
Glad to see I wasn’t the only one focussed on that!!
What?
I love seeing someone exhibit top tier efficiency and class. There is something so satisfying about watching and listening to a high quality professional explain and demonstrate that which they are proficient at.
The attention to detail and knowledge of his craft is incredible. He says so much by saying so little.
The science of communication: how to use the irreduceable minimum number of words to convey the absolute maximum of meaning. People of this quality needn’t try to be a comedian, need no garallous excesses, no gimmicks, no confidence tricks.
Really excellent to listen to and watch
Finally a longer video!! Now I can sleep.
Oh yeah specially with ads it’s like a screamer in a asmr video it’s evil
I’ve always enjoyed listening to craftsman explaining their trade. Those that love what they do, who have mastered their craft and derive satisfaction from it-especially old world trades like tailoring, furniture making, et cetera.
In my opinion such trades appeal to those who are very methodical and practical, yet have an underlying need for artistic expression.
Those cutting sheers are now 91 years old if they were made in 1930
and just as you ask yourself why you mention it, you realize: It's worth mentioning.
I'm gonna put this on loop for my kids at bedtime
absolutely mind blowing what goes into making a suit
Making a suit isn't hard, making a tailored suit is hard
The way he says “cloth”
*chef’s kiss* 👌
I marvel at such eloquence and expertise. It is like watching an artist in action.
Your knowledge and artistry is so fascinating Mr. Ramroop! But of course it is the sound of your voice that is so hypnotizing and inviting.
I don’t think I have ever heard the word durability spoken so elegantly in my life
I've never been so ashamed of wearing sweats while watching a vid on RUclips
Whatchabet this cat has his version of your sweats or jeans ensemble for lounging at home?
I am wearing no pants. I have no shame.
This is a master craftsman discussing his work with such passion. I love it
This man has a gold thimble pinky ring! Next level. I love hearing craftsmen speak about their work
Mr Ramroop is the consummate professional. And a matter of Fact sense of humor too... >>On threading the needle "Always make sure that the thread goes straight through the hole" ..Simple and true and said w his undoubtable ASMR magic Demeanor and voice
Unintentional Asmr. I love a tailors passion for fabric.
It is always nice to hear a professional speak.
Well done! Not only is your work beautiful you have taken this ancient art into modern times by maximizing your presence with social media. I could watch you document your process all day! Great job.
Took me back to the early 70s studying tailoring at the London college of fashion. This man is such a master of the craft.
Just watched again. I want to learn every detail from you-- your sewing tools, and your fabric choices. This is a pleasant and masterful learning experience. Thank you.

What an intelligent, eloquent, and dignified professional, so fascinating to listen to :0
I actually learned to sew a button on to a shirt about a year ago from a RUclips video. I am 45 years old so better late than never. My mom tried to teach me when I was a teenager.
I don't even like this stuff, but after 10 minutes I have the upmost respect for the skills of Tailor....How fascinating. Subbed. :)
Thank you! This video is extremely informative, yet concise. I recently began studying historical sewing practice and have been reintroduced to many thing my grandmother taught me. I'll be watching more....
Please make more of these videos!!! This is stuff behind the scenes, I’ve never seen , very knowledgeable and interesting 🧐
Undoubtedly Mr. Ramroop has not only the ability to turn the canvas into a work of art but also has an incredible ability to transmit knowledge. My sincere congratulations.
