    The soil tensiometer has been a game changer for me in my transition to living soil. Being able to observe the moisture and weight of properly watered soil has made watering my other crops (even without the meter) so much easier. Keep spreading the knowledge man. I appreciate it.

      It really does make it so much easier to learn the process of proper watering. A lot of knowledge can be gained for about 100 bucks. That's why I tell everyone to buy one.

      I use Blumat gravity water system. Plant drinks when it needs to. Love it. Set it and forget. Never had issue.

    • @RedbudSoilCompany
      @RedbudSoilCompany  2 года назад +4

      To properly use blumats, you will need to use a tensiometer to make sure it is watering correctly. Also out of the thousands of commercial customers that I have maybe 2 still use blumats. They are problematic at scale, but could be ok for a home grower I suppose.

      @@chicagoangler You stole my comment! Love my gravity fed blumat setup, going to hook it up directly to my RO system in the fall to make it even easier.

    Nature has the best tools. I plant lime mint at the front of all my half yard containers. When their leaves show signs of needing water it is a one day indicator that the medicinal plants will be thirsty. 10% volume of container per watering about every 3 days here in Oklahoma

      @@RedbudSoilCompany honestly i think that getting the right phenotype is most of the secret
      I have had 17 seeds l.a amnesia in one run did everything exactly the same on all of them, a few was very very good, but the most, like 12 of 17 were really unimpressive average stuff
      You can be the best grower, if you have a bad pheno your weed wont be the best

    Is one tensiometer good enough for the entire grow? Like can I water each plant with it to proper levels and pull it out to check each of my 24 plants individually because it seems pretty ridiculous to buy 24 of them considering a GOOD one is 100+

    So What’s the strategy when u have excess nutrients? I got a soil test and it was high in potassium and phosphorus. I’m just going to use filtered water only this run any other ideas ?? I’m running living soil beds

    • @RedbudSoilCompany

      We see excesses a lot. Just don't add anything with that nutrient in it, and do a run and retest. Repeat if the excesses are still present.

    Hey I’ve just started flowering in living soil and got a hermy. I’d literally just compost fed it and noticed the male flowers so instantly gave it the chop. I’m wondering what to do with the living soil. I obviously want to go again but should I re amend it?

    • @RedbudSoilCompany
