This is exactly what we needed as customers, I tried using the 3.0 in a 5x10 with 15 gallon bins and failed due to not understanding the way your soil is used best. Also on your site it says “feeding Chart” so I went ahead and bought all those products, followed the schedule and 1 week after the 1st feeding, disaster.. too much nutrients, lock out and lots of time spent with your customer service. Your customer service reps are incredible! They helped save my grow, it was great but it wasn’t a failure, I began to research all the products I had purchased and use them now in my current grow with much success. This series is going to get the beginner up to speed, demystify the BAS super soil methods and show people how easy it is to grow organically. Thank you so much for putting a series out like this and super excited to see the results, will have to give your soils another shot after the series finishes and use all the tools your teaching us
Thank you for sharing and for mentioning our team, they are amazing. Happy growing Robert!
What did you do wrong?
Yeah what was the issue? Was it the schedule that was to much?
If you roll the top of a fabric pot down like you roll up your sleeves it will stay open. Then when you fill it up unroll the top to get the extra space back. :)
Good tip! Thx!

Facts
I had to use a tarp and a friend. I did the water in layers as I started filling the pot. I have a bad back, and the tarp gave me a good mixture.
I try to make manageable amounts at a time. I just put on the radio and keep mixing until it's done.
i just read most of the comments. your doing the world a great service by creating this series for many generations to benefit from and teaching them ti be stewards of the eARTh. im inspired to see so many ready to go organic after watching these! Many Blessings Fam
This was first grow video i watch 2 years ago. I have never stopped growing this way.
Thank you brethren
Just mixed 70 gallons today using buildasoil products and this video!! Came out great, I feel so accomished.
How did it go
Where do you get the ingredients?
I love that you chose to wear long sleeves to do that and also your waffling, you’re like a young Bob Ross with your art.
Keep it up, top content and greetings from Germany.
Mixing up the take and bake today. I absolutely love the smell of coots mix and the Kashi. It just smells like life
I really appreciate the fact that you are so transparent. No ego. Nothing in that capacity. Just wanting to help I genuinely enjoy learning from you and understanding your teachings. The number one reason why I decided to subscribe to your channel. Please keep up the good work

I grew up as a kid on an organic smallcrops farm, and I've gotta say I love your attitude and approach to live soil growing. super great videos. youve earned my sub
Been working with Biochar for awhile, love soaking for awhile in damp fish compost in a bin to inoculate at least a week. Up here in Canada I rely on Sea Soil - swear by it in fact. Absolute top notch video Jeremy.
Just want to say this is a great thing your doing , and we hope these type of videos never end . You have no clue how much this is helping organic growers as we really don’t get a lot of videos like this just because of the fact majority of a lot of growers on RUclips use synthetic nutrients . These type of videos is what’s going to simplify organic growing because starting out learning is a long process and can be overwhelming .
How do I order a kit or two? ty To ( mr.jessejames@yahoo.com )
I dunno about that one chief there are a ton of people doing organic grows on here
I cooka da pizza
I agree I’m starting my first organic grow this month Nd I’m so excited I wanna start right now it’s like waiting for Christmas as a kid staying up every night not being able to sleep cuz ur so excited thinking about it it’s a lot to learn but gosh I love it, I love learning about all these gardening tips it’s so enjoyable idk why😊
I feel like most of us watching this channel can relate to the feeling you getting mixing the soil. Atleast I do, and I think others do so I don't feel crazy. Lol
No you correct ,i love mixing the soil with my bare hands, ithink it makes us feel closer to nature and closer to what we are growing.

What up Growmies! This is the exact recipe that I use in all of my beds. This is a fantastic and amazing mix👍. Grow big or go home Growmies🤘
Awesome video, a ton of great info. I work in the cannabis industry in nm and wish more producers would go all organic, it's what the industry needs in my opinion. I'm setting up my personal grow and want to go all organic. I definitely am interested in your products and will be purchasing some. What's a good starting point with a pre mixed soil? I don't need to mix up 70 gallons worth at this point, just enough for a small 5x5 tent.

Such a great company and all the knowledge you will gain, for free, priceless. Love what you guys are doing, experienced and products you offer. 🇺🇸
So many grows out here in vegas need a guy like you. I used to work at a grow for like 3 years and seen people lose their jobs because the boss doesnt really know soil. We used biochar without pre loading it and it caused crazy nute deficiencies in our run. One of our growers got blamed for mixing wrong and later fired for it, now i realize what went wrong. Mixing by hand, your a real grower and you have my respect
Wow this episode is very interesting and informative. I am just tickled pink on how amazing Build A Soil reflects Great Grow Techniques.
This is dope! As my second harvest ever eff liquid nutrients. Switching to all organic mixes and planning on making my own soil for my 3rd grow cause it’s sooooo much worth it then burning your plants. Thank you for helping us understand and explaining ! :)
Just bought can't wait for it to get here and get it going love all your videos. I'm making the switch to the organic buildasoil way
Yeah I just ordered one two days ago haven’t gotten it did you get yours yet?
I love this! Very educational on the process. Definitely learn so much on better organic techniques as well as what to use without product lines.
Thank you! 🙏🌱
Man I'm inspired, I think I'm gonna buy this kit because of this video; the free shipping has sealed the deal...Damn! I'm excited to hand mix some incredible soil for my beautiful lovelies.
I love using a pump sprayer to water my plants. It takes like 5 mins just to pump out a gallon but it evenly coats it and saturates it all the way thru. I run my nutes thru it as well. I found that with hand watering cans it poured thru the medium a lot quicker and things weren’t evenly distributed.
Just found you guys yesterday! I love what I have seen so far and can't wait to follow along on this journey. So glad to see more and more people rocking the 'living soil'
Very nice! you have the coolest job doing what you love
Now we just need to do this on a planetary scale
We aren't in Heaven, where that is reality ! God wants us to work for our food. Down here on Earth. Building our own soils is part of the deal

@@BuildASoil not much, just always trying to learn :) built some soil again last week but i'm going to need to do it a bunch more as spring rolls in. Once you go organic you can never go back!
How much neem, kelp, fish bone meal, alfalfa meal do you use per cubic foot? I bought all the nutrients separate and not sure if i should use an even amount of each. Thanks
Wow buddy you know what talking about it great video I learning from you hugs from North Carolina muchas gracias desde NC
Honestly I was thinking of giving up because growing seemed so structured and systematic. Finding this channel last week has given me new life. I went out and bought 80% of the ingredients and mixed up 100 gallons this week. I learned so much and now feel entirely better about this great hobby. I’ve listened to a lot of RUclips people but finally perfect gardens led me here. And Clackmas is the man too, what a great friendship you two have. I’ve finally felt like I’ve reached intermediate level now, thank you.
How much did it run you ?
Honest and great info. Keep the videos coming.
We just want to say thank you for imparting your knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of true organic growing methods. We appreciate you! Peace& positive vibes!
I appreciate that you promote localization rather then your own profit. Sharing globally the best methods of creating healthy life and acting locally is how we fuel the reLOVEution. Perhaps the reason you like mixing with your hands is you are releasing the free radical formations in your body... We are like a walking antenna, instead of energy flowing through, it's only flowing to while as people are insulated from the ground in their unnatural lifestyle of rubber soled shoes, tires on transportation, sleeping in a house. This is one of the roots of cancer. A book called "Earthing" will provide the science behind the process of grounding. I love being barefoot while I walk through the food forest I'm creating in the desert. I've been building soil with lots of sheet mulch/cardboard and chipped yard waste from the landfill, coffee grounds and my composting system using a backhoe and a big hole in the ground.
With following this mixture how long before you'll start to think about top dressing.
I just found your channel. Great content. Great presentation. Thank you.
What are all the incredients to the soil, you ar talkin so fast an d I didn't get those... coud you make me a list? Thanks!
The list is right here on the product page: buildasoil.com/products/buildasoil-take-n-bake-artisan-soil-building-kit including a picture
if you fold down the top edge of your 1m2 grow bed, it would stay open properly, before it is filled.
I love the look of your store! I can tell you value organization and cleanliness a lot, thanks for all of your hard work Jeremy, you are a grow boss!
Love this stuff. Evolved SuperSoil! Thank you.
Got into organic growing because I saw how easy it was to do, and you make it simple. I love the content the length and how you break it down love how consistent you are, keep up the good grow and teaching. Your products are amazing 👏 !!!
That’s awesome man I just started to use your products and seen what they do For sure I’ll be buying your amendments and natural water additives for my organic garden but since I grow in a 5x5 I don’t need much was wondering if it would be possible for you to make a kit for like two 15 gallon pots 30gallons for the 5x5 tent that would be awesome cause I do two plants and use a trellis and spread them out saves me a lot of water usage and saves a lot of time from watering the pots plus I save alot of water and amendments and still get a lot of super top shelf buds it’s awesome but if u can do that oh my goodness I know there is alot of small tent growers out there who would definitely buy that kit for sure but thanks for your knowledge and everything you make for top quality organic growing 👍🏽
I think they made this kit based on the existing size of bags they already have or bought. Smaller kits might be more expensive because they will definitely have to repackage some items. I only need like 50 gal. Maybe I'll use the extra to grow some cover crop or an aloe plant.
Great stuff, can’t wait for feeding schedule, hopefully we can get an updated version for the diy amendments.
Please do not stop doing these videos! Like ever haha I love the way you teach and explain things. Been using your stuff since day one and have had amazing results! About to order this package too!
Hi mate. Loving these new videos. Just a quick one, I'd recommend adding water to your rock mineral bag before handling. I saw the clouds of dust coming off when you poured it in. Assuming there's silica dust in there, it kills more people a year than asbestos. Mainly in the construction industry. Just a heads up.
Just rewatched this video. I would love for you to do a video where you took old soil and brought it back to life.
First off thanks, I've learned a lot from these informational vids. I love this growing style. There are two questions I have that keep me wondering, both of them involving the worms. I'm a worm enthusiast and farmer. My questions are first of all I can see how a blue mat system of watering would work with worms in bags but I don't see how more standard watering would work......like wouldn't the worms want out?......and what about the chlorine? Do you de-chlorinate all water going into these systems for the biology?s The second questions has to do with the pre-mixing and you mention that a system may go 'hot'. That would obviously kill of worms wouldn't it?
Hay guys just wanted to say thanks for having oyster shell meal great price she ordered it earlier. Keep up the great work.
How do you Reinoculate this soil after a grow? This mix off the charts. 👍💪✌️
Coots nutrient kit about 130$ on the site with some opti veg and some buildaflower top dress should push you threw veg
I'm new bro so this my opinion... I honestly thought you can reuse soil being that it is your 1st cycle
"...there's no real order that you have to go through here so don't get too weird about it." Words to live by.
Yep it all goes in the same pot so I start with desert most days 😂
My dope got way better!
W o w 💫 Thank You for sharing you hard earned knowledge with me. I am so Impressed with your educated and fascinating process. Highest Regards!
So new to the scene but I love that this is all organic and I’m able to learn easily from your context might make a purchase!
Gods work
What's the sprayer? That thing looks like the beefy level I need going forward with all the foliar I've been doing on the tropicals.
Great mix of things for the soil, as well.
Also going to try the wetting agent on my dragonfruit, they hate wet feet in my container trellises so I think that may help avoid as many muddy pockets and possibly save on water usage as my soil mix does contain peat.

I love your guys energy, I’m absolutely sold, the price is absolutely agreeable too!
Hey Jeremy. Glad to see things are going good for you.
Thanks Tim!! I think if you often and feel honored that you dropped in and said hi. Thanks for everything you taught me over the years. I hope you are well.
Not sure if someone mentioned but folding the top of that 100 gall will give it some rigidity and keep it from "wilting" great vid!
Great Job Jeremy! You and the team are putting out great content! 🌊🌊🌊🌊
We just ordered our first round of soil…I am so excited to get some dirt under my fingernails!!!
LOVING this new series. Glad to see the RUclips back! Did you water at all within the 6 days?
Thanks for the question Milaka. No, only what you saw on camera.
This is all I want to do now!
This video explains most of the questions I have been looking for thanks a bunch very helpful and informative. Only questions I have is do I need to add more nutrients and how often is top dressing necessary I'm new to the growing community starting small have a 2x4 tent with 4 five gallon containers we here in Virginia are legally allowed to grow 4 plants at a time. Been studying this kind of thing for weeks now getting ready to start my 1st Indoor grow.
Peace & love from Virginia

I'm moving to ancorage. I own a trucking company. Can't wait to start growing again. It was illegal as fuck when I I was growing in Texas in high school. Had nightmares of going to prison, paranoia was real. I got hot once. I ordered mushroom spores and was going to add to my grow. All of the sudden there were unmarked cars following me, and me and my father had to burn 🔥 the evidence. And then it was over. Have not done it in 9 years and can't wait.
Perfect timing for me . Just started to fill my cart on yer website last night . Have to do my math tonight and we'll be in business soon ;) Love Light Respect Blessings and many Thanks for this series 💚🌱💚💯

@@paulfisher6947 i went thru that whole thought process. No one in MI is supplying these quality items . Getting a pallet of 3.0 shipped to MI was a grand cheaper ( AT LEAST ) for anything comparable . also once I get the beds set up ( was in 15 gals b4 ) i am confident I wont have to replace any soil for years to come if we take care of it .
Next time you do it easy way to hold the pot open is fold it over an makes little easier not having to lift over the wall so high
I was looking to put this kit into a 3x3 raised garden bed in my backyard. I live in the north east and plan on leaving it out in the elements all year round. Is there away to keep the soil alive threw the winter?
So beautiful the art. I would like to try the product next season from Denmark 🇩🇰🇬🇱
awesome video and love the transparency--it makes me wanna buy the soil from you! Thanks for sharing!
could i use the soil to grow outside instead of in a grow tent🤔
Great info! Lol former mushroom grower here, I used to prefer peat moss instead of Coco coir as well, the yields were better, colonization went smoothly and quick enough. Man I miss growing.
Thank you!! ✅ big help.
Just purchased! Really excited to see what the future holds.
Solid content!
Thanks Jeremy!! Great video and very thorough information. I’m in Canada. It wouldn’t make sense to ship it here so I’ll try to make my own mix. I’ve never seen rice hulls or pumice like that here !
I’ll keep watching and learning from you!
Back to basics.
You could potentially fold down the sides outwards to help keep it open. Works with rectangular ones a treat.
I just recently started watchin your vids. very informative. I'm 28 mint. in of 29 or so. you mention just using a few gallons of soil; question, how long will the soil last? I use 4 5gl. post in a 4x4, don't need 70ls. do you have smaller kits, unless the soil can sustain life till the next planting.
should have finished the vid. LOL
Loving the series ! Please continue with more videos after this series ends. I love your blogs and would enjoy hearing you expand on your thoughts in a video format
I did that in my Greenhouse I only put two together Outdoors it's different indoors you got to give that airflow you're prone to mold having three plants to close I always get better results when I space them out a little bit I don't know maybe you got some good luck there I would like to get a couple of those Planters like four of them I've only got a couple hundred gallon I'm going to need more I plan on growing a shorter plant this season.
So the peat moss you put through your machine! Dude, how many people watching your channel has a machine to grind down Pete moss?..seriously? ..maybe just stick to the basics bro?
I really suggest people to mix in equal parts in many smaller totes, something liftable.
This is my method for mixing soil in raised garden beds and huge fabric pots etc. Get five totes of equal size, i have like 15 large totes so im taking some liberty in assuming people have totes lying around. If not grab garbage bins and fill them half way, whatever. Fill four of them with Jeremy's method, layering, equal parts of products into FOUR of your totes, they are now all equal, they are each a smaller representation of the large fabric pot.
Now take one of your filled totes and dump it into the fifth empty tote, and back again, and however many times it takes to mix thoroughly, dumping always mixes SUPER effectively, two dumps id say. Do that for all of the filled totes, and now dump all of them into your fabric pot, or whatever kind of raised garden bed. And that's it! no shoveling mass around, none of that shoulder deep in a raised bed. It is literally so much better and so much easier but just a smaller version in more steps, but muuuuch easier steps.
Mixing in a massive raised bed is a hassle, and never as good as mixing smaller versions.
I love this channel straight facts no bullshit n Jeremy explains every little ingredient with what it does n y he uses it outstanding channel team n knowledge thank u
Finally a grower that owns a pocket knife.
Yo great video, was wondering if and when you would recommend adding worms to the mix? and if worms aren't recommended could you explain why briefly?
I’d love to see some info on this as well. Specifically, what type of worm and the recommended number per 1ga of soil!
Red wigglers are one of the most active in breaking down biomass. As for asking to the mix, I wouldn't suggest if your not adding any biomass scraps.
@@josht4741 sorry I'm new and behind, what is considered biomass scraps? Thanks for reply.
Veg/fruit scraps for worms. Egg shells, coffee...
I usually keep a couple bins with worms off to the side and feed them all year around. Then when ya need some grade A soil additive you can sift out the worms and use
A couple packs from any bait store will be good for 5 gal bucket full of soil
Amazing
Question, after this soil has been made for use in the grow room do you still need to further feed the plants during their growth cycle or are all the nutrients required already in the mix itself for the entire grow cycle?
Every 4 weeks you should add top dry amendments ( organic) up to week 4 or 5 of flower. Then nothing
What would the dry amendments be comprised of? Thanks
good stuff champ
Lovin' this series guys cheers 👊💚🤙
People should be warned that depending on the recipe this will smell like holy hell until it finishes “cooking.” Do it outside if you can, doing this inside can cause a divorce.

I absolutely love this video but, I'm wondering if you can do this same mix with COCO.
New to agriculture but can this be use again and again after each grow or do you have to get a new batch every now and again?
