Day 60! Two earth boxes and a 30 gallon. Looking like they’ll go till day 75 every time I walk into my room a can’t help but smile ! Thanks BAS Family. Truly the best team.
If y'all only knew how much these videos have changed my life in the past year it would really blow your minds. I really want to share my story about what has happened to me in the past 5 years but this is a comment section lol. All i'm gonna say is that because of the knowledge you've instilled I've been able to go from a hospital bed on life support to growing and helping other people with cancer get better. I owe u guys my life in some weird cosmic way. I'm sorry I don't want to sound melodramatic it's just the honest truth💚💯
I am so happy for you...Maybe just make a youtube vid ? It's probably the easiest. BAS are awesome...Great peeps...
@@dustybahlz6674 You know that'sa great idea! I already post videos of my garden might as well put something meaningful up there,
Check out my channel if u want i only have like 20 subs lol
That’s what it’s all about. Happy for you. Brotha
May your story reach many, and light the path for those in the dark. Happy youre still around stranger.
Write a book, start a RUclips channel get your story out there it sounds amazing and hella interesting. Cheers
y’all are truly the greatest source on independent gardening. instead of marketing your mixes you teach everyone how to basically make the products with the knowledge passed on to you. this is why your growth is so exponential and why i will be a lifelong customer. thank you and the build-a-soil family for everything y’all do for the community. much love.
💯 True quality content
This came at literally the perfect time. Not a coincidence. The Universe is real. Thank you Coot and Jeremy/BAS crew.
You seem like a GREAT and TRUSTWORTHY guy, loving, caring and full of positivity. You are a GREAT motivator and life changing. Listening to you could turn doubt into certainty, pessimism into optimism. THANK YOU for being the person you are and the information you share!!!!!!!!
Man Jeremy, It gets me nearly choked up but I do thank you and the team for being so thorough and releasing things like the recipes and schedule for free.. it eats me up inside how many people only have greed motivating them, and it’s truly a needed reminder seeing there’s people out there with the medical scene still at heart. Continue so long as it’s fulfilling to do so cause the impression is warmingly felt and cherished by us🤙
I'm in texas got better bud than anyone around and I'm using all this knowledge on my fruit trees last year grew some huge pears and peaches thanks to you guys
You care more about going organic and are really into it more than anyone I've ever seen you like what you do and it makes it way better
You should look into regenerative agriculture and natural farming
@@GTILOUD Yes! AEA's YT channel is a good one.
WOWZER! Searching for organic rice hulls I stumbled on this company to order from. Seeing they have a youtube channel I had to check it out. I am blown away. As a compost "queen" I compost wherever I go and compost everywhere and in multiple ways. As a "master gardener" of over 60 years I've learned a little-lot and love sharing. So I teach compositing and vermiculture and now here I find I have so much more to learn. I love that! Thank you! I'm grateful for my stumbling... I'll be back!
I have some extra hulls do they make a good top mulch for potted plants
Another excellent source of chitin is the clipped ends of mushrooms, what us mycologists refer to as the butts of the fruits. Not on do these clipped ends and a host of different nutrients that were mined by the mycelium Their decomposition attracts mycorrhiza bacteria and fungi and is no different from using Azos
If I have hundreds of bird's nest fungi agrowing everywhere in my notil bed, is this an indicator that chitin is getting bioavailable after mushroom's death?
you are right, I would take home mushroom ends from work and would make me compost go insane.
What mushroom should i use? Could i grow lions mane or psilocybin and put it in the soil?
so you saying if i use the ends of mushrooms that are growing in my worm bin they would attract mycorrhiza bacteria scores. i use JLF ways of farming/growing it works amazing with the microbes and fungi mycelium activity. organic growing is amazing
No different from using Azos is kind of reaching… youre talking about direct spores of a certain species vs “hoping” the mushroom butts attract what you need
Clackamas has taught me a lot. Including using Neem and karanja mixed in my soil, and I started a worm bin. The results in my garden are hard to argue with!
@Clackamas coot Any thoughts about micronized Kelp compared to kelp meal?
Been using Coots recipe for 7 years and its the best ive used imho.

"In life I've noticed that when things are given away for free, often times they're disregarded, or that they're not appreciated."
Same goes with that free wisdom.
A big THCank you to the man the Mith THE LEGEND Ckackamas Coot for the win. Cheers, M
Bro 1st time i made my Coots i was so surprised how delightfully freshy bomb that soil smelled!(and still does) thanks for the bombies y'all
@Clackamas coot that's awesome; that's what i feel is different with the living soil community vs other often toxic social media etc - we're all actually helping each other! Ha, I truly wouldn't have gotten into building soil, worm bins etc without finding you and Jeremy's stuff; it was way too daunting a task! Thanks for freely providing an easy way to grow anything well!
Last year in my first grow I watch a bunch of different people grow a bunch of different ways and I tried to combine them to make it work for me. That didn't work to well over the past month I have watched all your episodes and I really like how you explain everything. This year is going to be my first year trying to grow organic I am really excited! I love this channel you and your wife are so informative! I do both indoor and outdoor grows and this channel has been so helpful!
And how did it go
Thank you for creating this informative video Jeremy! So grateful for this in depth explanation! ❤
Dude i was so sad when you guys didnt post yesterday, this makes up for it for sure
Thorough, Thoughtful, and intentional. Thank you for wonderful practical tips, "go at your own pace....medical patients". Thx peace bro your wealth of knowledge is empowering independence and health.
Let's go coot gang 🪱💨
WOW! How generous of you to give such specific details about how to make this mix. I really appreciate it!
I just appreciate that you present like you care about your prospective customers and your audience. It matters more than it might seem in the present moment.
Cant wait till this grow is over.. all done with hydro, super pumped!!!
BROTHER, WHAT A GREAT OUTLLOK ON GARDENS. THANKS, IVE LOST TOUCH WITH THE FUN
There is something very satisfying about taking raw ingredients like this and doing the work to make it into a finished product.
I have said this before, you produce some of the clearest and most informative content on this platform. A good teacher makes the subject enjoyable to follow and easy to absorb and you certainly do that sir. Thank you for sharing your knowledge without a paywall.
I know this is an old video, but I appreciate what you do so much Jeremy. I've spent so much time going down the rabbit hole that one Coot interview on the FCP's channel lead me down. I've tried telling people these ways and telling people to look up Clackamascoot and seeing how simple organics really is. When someone with a big platform and the ability to communicate things in the simplest of ways is spreading knowledge like this, it just hits so much harder. Appreciate you big dog. and shout out Lumperdawg :)
Just another AMAZING video from @BuildASoil
You all at BAS are very generous with your knowledge. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to bring all of us the best of the best... THCanks and Blessings from mine to yours, Martin
Amazing as always ! Thank you 🙏 ALL for everything you do
Great video..I just made coot's soil 2 days ago. I'm excited to run in this soil, your right,it feels great making your own soil.
google Clackamas Coot and see a variety of soil mixes as they changed over the years. Thanks for the new info.
Brother amazing information as always. One quick tip- while mixing the substrate get another guy to help out, hold the tarp at the four ends and just pull it towards the middle...
Eye opening episode with a full explanation of making your own soil. Really appreciate Jeremy for what he is doing for the cannabis growing community 🙏🙏🙏
Just awesome. Love this company and I love watching these episodes. Makes me excited to get into my soil everyday. Thank you!
I am finally all caught up! Watched every episode and just want to say thank you for all that you do! Really advancing all the knowledge in this field for the benefit of the people!
The love for your soil and plants makes a ton of difference in growing
Undoubtedly in the top tier of soil mixes notably because it's all natural, breathable, vermi active, and fungi food...man..this is what brings on some bud color I would bet..been on this track but this is fine tuning for total plant health..awesome..Thanks 👍
Yes this really brings out the purples beautifully
Just found u guys i have been doing coots recipe for about 3 years i am glad i am along for the ride
Jeremy, your series are the best thing on the tube, ty so much for being creative and taking the time to teach so much! Since I started watching season 1, been doing organic and I’m loving it!! Ty so much, and keep at it man!!✌️
Supplemental - I'm a soil scientist by trade. You're nailing the philosophy I've grown in my head. I love building earth. Happy healthy and prosperous growing 💚👍🤘🤙🖖
Excellent content! Been waiting for this one to drop. I have been growing in the Take And Bake for almost a year. I ordered it on March 28th last year. On my third run. It is close to the Coot recipe and follows all the parameters that Ras Truth explained in his blog post. Getting ready to help a newbie to start their no-till. This recipe and volume is perfect. Thank you many times over.
great info. must keep it coming. thanks
Thks very much. Regards from URUGUAY.
These videos are so cool. Thank you BuildASoil for such informative and interesting content!
been using the coot recipe for many years now. changed the entire way i garden. thank you mr coot
Hell yes! I love using coots soil recipe and I've been using it for years in beds!!!🙌
Can coots recipe be used from veg to flower with no added nutrients or do you add other dry amendments in flowering
The last few vids have been Packed with knowledge you just save ppl getting disheartened from not drying the flower right thanks this is one you can keep coming back to 💯💯💯💯💯
Watching your posts give me confidence in my soil building experiments...and I may say I've learned alot thanks to your love of dirt.....
Whats good papi, I always like to mix amendments and compost all together first, really well. Then everything else mixes much more evenly. Much love!
Great job! thank you, your work and work for the people are amazing!!!
saved .... thank you for this 😎
💯 😎
You know I always thought u were Cali, Mendocino I was surprised when I heard Colorado, I know that's the original legal in USA but since you were growing you'd be California 😤🦅🇺🇸😤💨
Been using coots since 2014 when i found off GC forums. Its so great to see this video. Amazing for newbies right here. If you have any interest in home gardening, be it medicinal or food and flowers this is great. And this video makes it soooo much easier to understand. Its amazing how far thibgs have come in 8 years. From taking notes from people who posted recipe online and having no idea what i was doing, trying to even source the ingredients to today when you have someone physically showing you while explaining every detail and how to source it. This is one of the best videos ive seen on how to build your own soil.
Absolutly killing brotha thank you for all the hard work.
The Build a soil workout 💪🏼💪🏼👍🏼👍🏼!
Bro I really appreciate you sharing all your knowledge. That's one of the reason I love your channel and your products, not to mention gorgeous plants lol.
The GOAT the way you broke down each nutrient is crazy. Been watching since season 1. keep killing it!
Those couple worms went for a ride in this video lol hope they made it and get to finish out their happy life in the 10x10
keep up the great work, your truly inspirational people, peace from the UK.
You are the best! You educate so much as does your wife. Thanks again!!
Outstanding! Love the new drops
Nice info cannot wait to see some plants take off
I get in my shorts and take my shoes off and sit right down and get right in it when making this stuff... great stuff.
I’m pretty high, but had to reread that comment. I thought I read take my shorts and shoes off…I was like wow, that’s interesting
Jeremy, I'd like to express my appreciation for your videos. In my opinion, your vids are the most instructional and well presented on YT. I can't thank you enough for all your effort in producing these.
This, in particular, was a very valuable vid for me. I've been reluctant to purchase the BaS soils due to the shipping charges to the NE US. This vid allows us to build a fantastic soil with local material and fine tuning with the smaller quantities of BaS ingredients, making the creation of a quality soil more affordable. Fantastic!
On another note, on my second grow, this time using BaS Build a Bloom, coconut milk powder, worm castings, and Craft Blend and my plants seem to be Very happy.
Using these products makes it very easy to keep up with their nutritional needs.
Thanks again Jeremy.
Coot has best worm castings in the world!
Awesome sauce
You are dedicated to your craft. It's nice to see this.
This just keeps getting better, just wish I had that many castings, but then again Colorado worm castings has me covered and top notch at that yAy now let’s see what kind of spam I win at build a soil today and just simply commenting on a video, if only winning the lottery was that easy haha
Thanks again for sharing your wonderful joy of gardening.
Happy Growing 🌱😊 P
Hello from Russia 😊
Love your videos! Learned a lot from you and I really appreciate all you do for growers! Much respect brother!
Straight up love as always Jeremy. One of the episodes I was most looking forward to was this one so thank you as always. Will watch it multiple times. And source my uk version coote mix this season. Keep up the amazing work man
Bro I love the attention to detail of everything you do in your instructional videos!! It makes it easier for a dumb ass like me to understand!! Lol Thank you 🙏
One of the best yet. Thank you. 💚
The companies that invest in their customers are the companies I am a customer of for life
You are the man🙏🏽
I love you man you’re a legend
Peace, Love, and Overgrow the World ;)
I appreciate your dedication to share your knowledge.
This is amazing g
Try using a 1/2 inch mesh screen box for breaking up peat . Its amazing! Wish I knew it 10years ago
Listeners should know that Clackamas is a county in Oregon. I'm in Lane county where the best cannabis is grown!
I love Oregon i travel there every year for the last 10 yrs from uk
Prove it 😂
Very educational video.Love the information you put out.I'm ready to build a pile myself and now i know exactly where to start.Thank you and keep on growin.
Just got my earth boxes yesterday!! Thank you Build a soil 🙏
Get ready go plant explosion.. they are a weapon!! A real force multiplier

Great job explaining Jim’s mix your videos are well done.
them rice hulls are what ive been looking for. organic source of silica.... really helps plants in "harsh" conditions by helping with uptake of nutrients and what not, here in the desert the heat stress takes quite a toll.
thanks dude. i will incorporate rice-hulls!
They work great, but be careful about the source. Lots of pesticides and herbicides are used in commercial rice farming. Those from Indonesia tend to have a higher PPM of rat poison.
What about that organic granular silica from Montana grows he sells you ever try that? Or is the rice hull better?
26:25 Truth be told. Started building my soil today!
I love all the content , at this point why not build a room ? Next season build a soil and Awkid breeding in a tent . Enjoy the free nuggets that you always give , I can’t wait for next weeks class . To the moon build a soil . Still loyal 802
Respect Jeremy!!!! The video is amazing , but I want 2 point out the best piece of knowledge in this video . Thank you for pointing out it doesn't take using these exact products , the knowing u can use wht ever u have no matter where ur at ! Together we can build anything , keep fighting the good fight ! Good vibes 2 everyone
Also this is why I will continue to support BAS buy using there amazing products, as well as telling everyone I kno about BAS !!
Aloha Jeremy 🌺🤙🏼I really appreciate the details and reasoning. The process....very well spoken. Mahalo, thanks 😊
I've been using this recipe for years now. High grade results every time!
your products are the top tier. congrats.
This was incredibly informative. Thank you
I use alot egg shells and coffee grains in my worm castings. Im an east coaster so its hard find certain things. We got our first grow shop here in va but it carries mostly hydro stuff. They have total of 7 down to earth products and thats it. Needless to say i hate shipping things across country but im about just order from you guys. Much love and respect bro
Token Rhyme in Midlothian (near Richmond) has 3.0 and light soils. They also have other BAS products. I’m in Va. Beach and it’s either cross country ship or them (about two hour drive for me). Love BAS products!
If you're closer to Christiansburg there is a hydro shop that now carries a lot of B.A.S. products.
Over the last few months you've won me over. I'm going to be switching over from salts, and making this recipe very soon! 30 gallon living soil pots just like yours :)
I love reusing those bags too. I keep them in my car or backpack and use them for wildcrafting💚
It’s amazing how passionate you are about the soil & the microbial life it creates & how much knowledge you have on just how living soil works, it’s so fascinating and I’ve watched your build a soil videos too & that’s not even the 10x10 plants grow part of the channel that’s awesome so I’m trying to absorb as much experience & information as I possibly can bc they just passed the legislation for non commercial growing in New Jersey, I think it’s 5 plants per person per household and I want to to make the most of it😊
Nice Benchmade
You got me Jeremy with the video card 👌🏾😆
“Corn might be ruining the soil… slaps bag” 🤣 im sold take my debit card.
I just ordered 32 lb bucket of Coot soil. Thx
