  • ~If your transplanting into a 3gal pot instead of 5 you'll need 2gal mix. Use 3veg & 1bloom or 2 & 2 is just fine. Final topdressing will be 2veg & 4bloom.
    ~If you have 444 & want to use it. Use 444 in place of Bloom until flower. Once you flip topdress in Veg & Bloom..
    ~Old Ratio for high calcium Dr Earth - Start 50/50 Veg & AP. First transplant 50/50 Final transplant 50/50 or 1-2tbsp less Veg. Flip topdress 50/50 Veg & Bloom. Final topdress 30/70 Veg & Bloom or All Bloom.
    ~Ratios are not far from each other but do show a difference in flowers. Just remember you can mix any way you want still get great results.

    I’ve used this method for the past two years and it’s the easiest low stress method I’ve found. The last run I did was the best ever in quality and weight and it was so easy is was actually the most boring run I ever done in ten plus years of growing. 👽👍

    Worm castings don't get moldy. What's happening is you're diluting your pearlite ratio and getting less drainage. You can put in 30% of your total soil volume as Worn castings but you have to put in an equal amount of pearlite. In fact, that's going to improve your soil quality by a very large margin.

      I know that most people do not give warnings about mold when using castings and compost. He has to adapt what he does by what he sees. That’s why all the different gardeners on youtube are good. Man a Dr Earth Cannabis channel. Awesome

      @@truthonly7699 When worm castings or compost top dressings becomes a hard layer you can break it up into chunks or aggregate. I use a small hand size rake tool. Aggregate soil is the highest yielding soil, most of the common potting soils are based on the old Cornel university aggregate mix developed in the '70's if my memory serves me correct. Aggregate = Chunks

    I'm on my first photo run (2 decent auto harvests thus far, for a beginner, I was happy). I follow you for EVERYTHING about autos, dr earth, worm tea w/seaweed, etc).
    NOW, I have to learn photoperiods!!!! Are they more difficult??? I just sprouted 4 in solo cups. 2 Blueberry Muffins from HSC, Critical Purple Kush from seeds man, and a GDP from crop kings.
    In a 4x4 with a 400 watt Bloom Plus xp4000 (301b diode model), and two Viparspectra xs1500. 150w each.
    700 watts total but I like having the 3 lights, better coverage, if I have shoet plants or tall I can raise up and down. More versatility with 700w thru 3 lights vs a single light. IMO.
    Here we go, show me how to grow these ohotos!!

I realized, I like how God grows it, so I mimic that instead. God never seems to have a PH issue with his weed. I haven't had an issue I'm aware of. If a problem arises, the plants let me know. suspend two boards between two chair seats or saw horses. Put your 5 gallon fabric pot upside down with the plant in between boards. Now you have two free hands. Run a kitchen knife around the pot to break the bod. Slowly pull up on the corner of the pot with some pliers and work around the pot until you can grab it with fingers and it pops off.

      It's not true. If you add a bunch of worm castings to the soil, you're diluting the pearlite ratio. The pearlite is what causes drainage and keeps the soil from retaining too much water. You can add 30% or more work castings of total soil volume but you have to add an equal amount of pearlite. In fact if you use the soil this guy is suggesting you definitely SHOULD add 1/3 worm castings and equal amount of pearlite. Worm castings are pure gold for soil health.

    Hey bud, Been using Dr Earth, same as you (using your grow style as my guide, so, thank you!!!) but I generally use Promix Hp. ANYWAYS......
    They were all out at my store,no promix, no Tupur, so i thought shit, im gonna have to use friggin happy frog!!! Which hey, its good stuff, Ive never had issues with FF soils.....NPK of the actual soil is 0.3-0.3-0.05. Sooooo, not much to it, but, i like starting on the white canvas with you.
    SOOOOOOOOO, im looking and looking and i find Mother Earth Terracraft Potting Soil...NPK 0.19 - 0.08 - 0.11.
    SOOO WAAAAY less than half the pre loaded nutes of FFHF
    It was $17 for a 2cu' bag, and its loaded I'd say 20% perlite.
    I said screw it, i treated it EXACTLY like an inert medium.
    70% Soil
    15% Perlite
    15%Worm Crap.
    I amended exactly i would with Dr Earth. And holy hell, this stuff is realky great!!!! Never hear of people using it for growing the stucky icky. But im impressed im week 5 into my autos.
    This far??? zero nute burn, zero calcium deficiency, it drains wonderfully while holding enough moisture.
    As for water Ph i have no clue....i live in mid Michigan, my well is 70 feet deep, water is hard as a rock, full of iron, calcium magnesium manganese zinc copper.....i dont pH it,....just sits out for a day. Too many delicious micro nutrients to mess with the ph.
    Just incase anyone is wondering about some soils, some are hatder to get, more $$ in certain areas. Soooo, if anyone is looking for nearly a bpank slate soil for slow release organic fertilizer??? Have a look at TerraCraft Potting Soil.
    Cheers brother 🍻

      Organic yes 100%. Ph ing water with general hydroponics (tap water).

    • @stealthgrows
      @stealthgrows  Год назад +4

      @Blitz Krieg I've heard of that. There are natural ways to adjust the ph so you don't hurt any microbes. I've been doing this for years & things turn out just fine. You being the grower have to decide what's best for you & your plants.

      @@stealthgrows Thank you for taking the time. If I had an R/O system I would just water and never think about it again but I use bottled water and it's a nightmare. I'm pretty sure pH up and down contradict organics. Ultimately if you have good life in the soil there is no need to worry about pH but I find that's easier said than done. High or low base pH water will still effect your grow and yield.

    So would you advise against using only the veg fertilizer during veg stage and only the bloom fertilizer during flower stage, instead always using it as a mixed ratio for photoperiods and autoflowers? If you have tried them separately, what issues did you notice?
    I've recently checked out the dr earth website and apparently they're listing the nutrient contents now, flower girl is listed at 13% calcium but it doesn't show that analysis on the bag of the fertilizer itself, only the website so I'm unsure which it actually is. For the veg, the nutrient content of calcium of 7.5% matches the amount listed on the bag.

    Question: Royal Gold Tupur is soilless media; why the higher PH? Did you have poor results in the 5.5-6.5 range? I use Coco with GH and always try to keep it around 5.8. To be fair, I have never tried 6.4-6.7. Is this because the amendments act as soil?

    • @Modifiedtaco
      @Modifiedtaco 2 года назад +1

      All he did was make soil, the coco is just the base. Look at other “soils” they are either peat or coco based.
      As for coco have you bumped your ph up in flower? About week 2 I go up to 6.0-6.1. I’ve noticed a better response.
      I have the same name on Instagram if you wanna see my results.

    • @pwent33
      @pwent33 2 года назад

      @@Modifiedtaco Thanks! That makes sense! He has actually built soil hence the higher PH ranges. Illinois recently got the right to grow, but it took time to get a medical card (required for home growing), and we are just starting our third grow. I haven't experimented at all, but I will try the increase after week 2 flower. I hope with great info like this, we will switch to organic for our next grow!

    • @Modifiedtaco

      @@pwent33 I’m in Illinois too. I have been growing a while now. I started in soil, then switched to coco after learning that I could steer my crop easier. I will say a gradual climb in PH is working, I was taught this by a mentor. If you look at the availability’s of nutrients on a ph scale, what the plant needs later in flower rises. I start my clones in 5.6-5.7 then up to 5.8 after I see roots. Then stay at 5.8 until week 2 of flower.
      If you are on Instagram I have the same handle. Hit me up if you need clones. I have the entire seed junky catalog, and other breeder cuts.
