@@uiliumpowell4684 I have done numerous repairs like this and never any any combat with my repair messing up. Plus the manufacturer would not recommend this method if it would be a problem on their end in the future.

Amazing amazing video, take all my likes and subscription, well deserved. For many reasons we wanted LVP and a contractor was trying to talk me out of it because "if even one board is damaged you have to rip everything up leading up to the board". I know there was a way and he was being a salesman. The industry is too huge for there not to be ways to repair after install. THANK YOU SIR!!

Oy mate. Well bloody done. I am an NWFA certified Advanced Installer. I've got the paper work to prove it. I'm also a soccer coach so explaining simple concepts can be difficult at times. I think you did a great job mate. I have installed borders, medallions, mixed media, you name it, etc. You just taught a 20 some year flooring veteran how to do a lvp board replacement. Mad props to you. I've usually just dealt with real hardwood but have had a need to deal with lvp in the last 2 years. Your video was clear and precise. I'll be doing this Thursday for a customer 1/12/23 . Cheers mate

Love the fact that you’re safe and tell people if you’re not comfortable pulling the utility knife towards you then lay it down. I’m a carpenter, I install doors and windows, I’m like you were not always the safest because we’re professionals, so that’s cool that you laid out the safety options for others because many that aren’t privy to our work will follow word for word. I’m not a flooring guy is why I’m in here and I had new lvp installed and had a small spot of sub floor dry rot afterwards so I have to fix it, I know enough about carpentry to do flooring but I’m only an expert on windows, doors, fences, and seamless gutters. Nice video!

Thanks so much for the very detailed and informative demonstration. I just replaced two damaged planks and it went very well thanks to you! My only concern was with one of the end joints; with the long tang removed there is only edge to edge contact for the crazy glue. I ended up using duck tape on the underside to assist in the bonding. I must say using the Gorilla gel type crazy glue worked great. Keep up the good videos.

You cut the bad board out, you then are able to move the boards at the end of the whole down a little. You use a 36 grit piece of sandpaper and sand off the small male side. So you keep the big side and both ends of replacement board. Put replacement board in, glue the big side of the board on the floor and then tap the existing boards towards the replacement board and they will lock in. You only need to modify one side of the replacement board

I read your comment several times and am still confused. Are you saying to glue a floating floor down to the subfloor, or to glue the replacement board into the flooring system before tapping the end of the line back into place to meet up with the edge of the board? I would imagine this only works when replacing a floor not covered by baseboard, right?
