Have you noticed that the old methods are not working?

WHY does Microsoft NEED to see EVERYTHING we are doing? EDGE is the worst browser ever.

before doing anything, on the first screen, press Shift+F10 (or on some laptops Shift+Fn+F10), click into command line window, type oobe\bypassnro then enter. It will reboot, now you can bypass it all. Also another tip for the initial setup, type your local account name, then leave the password line blank and click next. This will bypass the useless "please select 3 questions" and answers crap.

You can run the bypassnro first thing after the computer comes to avoid running through the initial settings. But like you said, don't connect to any networks before you get the account created

Great video. Another option is Method One, after doing the "ipconfig /release" do not exit the command prompt get into Windows and check your local if your local account is there after that in the command prompt type "ipconfig /renew" and arrow up and delete "release" Wait 5 to 10 seconds and it will give your IP address back. (No need for a reboot)

Hi and ty. Microsoft will forced the bitlocker option in the update and in the installation of Windows. If I uso only a local account, what must I do to not lose all my data on the encrypted disk? I'm scared so much😢😢😢

Haven't come across anything like this yet.
I would just save the data to an external hard drive just in case.

MicroSuck is forcing Windows 11 users to have an active Microsoft Account because update 24H2 will enable BitLocker Encryption by default, and the key will be stored in your Microsoft Account.

Meaning governments can decrypt all windows devices just by asking Microsoft for your key

@@mwglen This just shows that Microsuck only cares about appeasing the security concerns of the business sector, and not the typical home user. Fine, I already spend 80% of my computer time on Linux Mint.

Microsoft provides enhanced security through options like the Microsoft Account, similar to macOS. If you've used macOS before, you may know that macOS doesn't use keys like Microsoft for activating the entire operating system. Instead, Apple activates their customers' personal OS using Apple ID, similar to Microsoft Account, ensuring security. Just as you create a Google account for using ChromeOS and Android, or an Apple ID for iOS and macOS, why not create a Microsoft account for using the Windows operating system? By doing so, the security advantages are for us, not just the company. It's surprising why people are still unaware in our AI-driven era (2024)!.

      Your choice.
For me, it's just data collection.
I update Windows anyway, as if it should be safe with new updates. And it turns out that for complete security you still need to log in to a Microsoft account)
Seriously, there is no complete security anywhere.

because why would you connect your personal user to a company that control your entire pc, sells your data and put ads on a paid software? if you think you can trust microsoft... it's on you

List one security-minded reason that Microsoft should require you to have a Microsoft account to authenticate to your device.
All of the actual benefits that Windows Hello has could be implemented without requiring an Internet connection or Microsoft account. Microsoft could at any time add TPM and biometrics support to local account authentication and give that system the same level of security and convenience as Windows Hello. They chose to lock those features behind a Microsoft account when there is no reason they should be.
The only reason they require a Microsoft account for these security features is so they can get you to sign in to their services and collect your data.
Reminder: Microsoft tracks every application you install to your device. And if you use Windows Insider Microsoft tracks every time you open and close an application. Additionally, Microsoft collects your entire browser history when using edge.
Browsing history for Safari is E2EE and you can just not sign in when using Chrome.
