HUGE THANK YOU!! Everything worked great. I somehow forgot my laptop password from work. Couldn't for the life of me remember all 3 questions to reset my password so my only option was to reinstall windows and loose everything on drive C. This was helpful indeed. My grandma's old laptop hasn't been updated to 1803 in Windows 10 therefore, there was no security questions to be used to reset the password. We also wanted to sign in to gain access to the files without having to lose the data from resetting the PC which we didn't want to do and by doing the #3 method in the video, I was able to get the command prompt up on the sign in screen and reset the password just fine! Thanks!

When i click command prompt in that blue screen area it then goes to "Select user" then it asks for the password still.

It's patched. But you can use a USB or some type of software. If you stole it just reset it completely

At minute 4:00 I had to do an additional in the step in the user accounts window. Prior to changing the password I had to go to properties and select administrator, hit apply and then change the password. Once I did that it worked. Dope ass video bro! Thanks!

Finally a tutorial that made sense. It works... BTW you can use the net user command to find what account is on your pc and use the net user administrator /random command to find out the password of the administrator account. You can change administrator with the account you are trying to logged into..

You are a life saver ❤. But in my case, my C drive was bitlocker protected, so I had to first unlock the volume using the cmd and then had to do all the other things you said. Some people might have this problem, so I'm just telling this for everyone so you guys could do it on your own.

When i get to fully clean,,,, a pop up says this........ Additional free space is needed on the drive where windows is installed.. free some up,and try again..So what do i do in this case? I found this laptop,and can only get it on,,and cant get to windows.. thanks

You didn't pay attention to the system responses on your own screen to the rename process. File exists. After the first renaming the System32 folder contains utilman1 and utilman. To revert the process you need to rename utilman to cmd, then utilman1 to utilman.

I follow step #3 and ran those commands. Once I ran the exit command, it took me back to the windows installation step. I am supposed to proceed ahead with installing windows 10 now after having completed those "ren" commands? Will this preserve data?

I have issue with the second method. After imputing the first set of commands, my Computer launches the administrator screen and not the Log-in Screen for me to complete the second part of the command.
2. I observed that the Accessibility Icon is not popping up options again on the log-in screen.

For those who got system path not specified type dir to check if you have the windows directory if not then you need to restart command prompt and enter another drive that has windows like a D drive maybe thats where your windows file is like it was for me you can check by entering the command- dir , hope this helps....
