    I watched half the video and overzealously wrote a lengthy comment inquiring how you reconcile the expense of something so luxurious against its utility when a more pragmatic alternative is available for around $12.
    But I opted to delete it after finishing the video and realizing you address its value and how long you kept yours in the latter half.
    So sorry for being so impulsive. I get too excited to discuss fine-writing instruments, haha. But thank you for making such a thoughtful and informative video on this subject.

    Hi DP. I have been wanting a Perfect Pencil for quite a while and came across your video. Very good video as always. Have you seen the Rose Gold version that is coming out this year?! It is the 25th anniversary of the Perfect Pencil and there will be three new variations - Rose Gold, Champagne, and Black. Now it will be very difficult to decide which one to get!

    Good Morning DisabledPrepper.
    Much obliged for the detailed the review, thank you.
    For all of us, a guide to remember which spelling to use is: E for Envelope in stationEry and A for stationAry (whilst still) in stationary.
    Kind regards.

    The term for those ridges are "fluted". E.g those tall roman pillars with vertical running ridges are "fluted".
    Anyone please correct me if I am wrong.
    Also how much does a pencil refill (the wood part) costs?

    • @DisabledPrepper
      @DisabledPrepper  8 лет назад +2

      Hey, thank you so very much for taking the time to watch and leave feedback. Yes, I think the word quite possibly is fluted. In answer to you question, I believe (from the last time I bought a set) the cost was £35 for a set/ box of 5 (they only come in a box of 5 pencils). hope that helps. I am in the UK, so the cost is in Pounds Sterling. Sorry, I am not sure, which country you are currently in. Warm regards. DP

      DisabledPrepper Thanks for the detailed reply; £35 huh. Anyways I enjoy your stationary videos, keep making videos still!

    Fantastic Video & Amazing Pencil. Thank you for showing it. What do you think of the Blackwing 602 and have you had a chance to use the original and the new one? Keep up the great work. Kind Regards Nicholas.

    Hey so I've just started to learn how to draw and I really wanted a proper black colour because the normal dark grey colour pencils I have just aren't dark enough .. would you say this is like super black for drawing?

    • @DisabledPrepper
      @DisabledPrepper  6 лет назад +1

      Hey, no, I don't think this is the pencil that would suit your need for drawing. You should try Palamino Blackwing, or the two best people to ask are cwpencils dot com OR a RUclips Channel called: Shoo Rayner, (exact spelling), he actually draws and answers a lot of questions! Both of them will be able to give you the best advice! I hope that helps. Let me know, out of interest. Warm regards. D/P

    In the event that you go through the entire pencil would the cap/sharpener be compatible with any average sized pencil? Sometimes I work in Ebony pencils and it would be cool if the cap transferred over.

      @DisabledPrepper  5 лет назад +2

      Solomon Harrison Hi. I’m sorry I’m not familiar with Ebony Pencils. But I use this pencil all the time and buy @ use its replacements. You can put other round, not triangular or multi sided pencils say like the staedtler pencils, in it as long as they are 0.8/0.9 mm in diameter like the Derwent Charcoal pencils. Hope that helps.

    What can I say, except I'm speechless. That is truely an amazing item you have there. Would I use one, no not with my ability to lose things but I can appreciate what it is though. Now that's a pencil and it suits you perfectly. (2B or not 2B, that is the question.😂) Thanks for this, Phil.

      +TheFarrierphil Thank you very much for watching bro. I was actually surprised myself that the pencil is a B and not a 2B as the Brown Cedar Wood one is a 2B and writes so beautifully and as the lead rubs on to the paper and when you sharpen it, you get this beautiful aromatic fresh ceder wood smell. :) Warm regards. Unfortunately not, but I look forward to your review, please send me a link! I is a little wide for me and refills are difficult to get hold off where I live.

    Great review! Thank you! Question on the pencil...do you know if the eraser part can be removed and placed on another wood pencil? So when one has used it up, one could use the eraser and with cap on another wood pencil to use with the top part.

      Ed M umm, I do not think so. Because the inside of the pencil is cut to a smaller diameter to accommodate it. So one would have to find the exact diameter as the holder is platinum metal. I don’t think it would be worth the effort, but anything is possible, just need a patient hand and probably a lathe for accurate cutting. They just produce the pencils and sell in sets of 5 for £30 pounds. Hope that answers. I think. Thank for watching. Warm regards. DP

    You made it a point that you wanted a different color pencil. Why not just buy the different color refills? Regardless good video.

      Rashod Thompson Hi, yes: although you can buy the refills, I wanted the full set and hence I just went with the full colour change and bought extra refills.

      If he has the money, and enjoys writing with a nice pencil, it is money well spent.
