I've had my E753XX Aerospace for about 20 years and all it has needed is batteries. For about a 10 years period since getting it I flew forest fire suppression aircraft and that is not always a kind environment for a watch - a few dings on the aerospace for sure - but the watch never even hiccupped. Been an outstanding timepiece and it's on my wrist in rotation today. Recommended.
I’ve honestly never considered a luxury quartz watch, but perhaps I should. Breitling and Grand Seiko have some interesting options. Thanks for the vid, Tim.
Nice review. I'm on the fence about this one. For years I've always wanted this model. Now that I'm in the position to get one, I'm really having a hard time deciding. The technology that this watch uses is out dated. My MTG g shock is so convenient with the app and atomic clock settings. I can change time, settings, alarms all through app with ease. The days of fumbling around with buttons and crowns to set an alarm are a thing of the past. For 10 years I wanted this watch, now I am not so sure...I mean it's a Breitling, so it's got that going for it. Keep up the great reviews!
Neg LCD's always look easy to read in videos and in photos, but my Casio experience has led me away from neg LCD's because they are difficult to see. Does anybody know if the Breitling is any better? Different? Or will be the same difficult to see the negative LCD in low light/dusk/dark conditions?
It has a backlight so there is that. For me the problem with neg displays is more in bright sunshine. But at least with the Breitling you can see the handset, as opposed to my all digital g shock.
This watch has been around for at least 25 years. The biggest problem with this watch is the digital display - it is barely readable. Breitling should have addressed this major problem years ago. It is really dumb to spend a lot of money on a digital watch that you can barely read. At this time (2024), the digital display could only be described as "defective", period....
