    The coolest quartz watch in the world. So light, comfortable, nice functions, and thin. Perfect for me.

    I've owned one for four years, it's giving me "low batt" now, and it is only 5 seconds off from new. Incredible.

      Nick Shabazz hi nick, love your videos. I am looking at a Breitling quartz chronograph, it is a D55045 (non-cosc). It is priced at $875. Can you give me your opinion in the matter, if it is worth pursuing? Thanks !

    I have the original version, which I bought soon after it first came out. Originally it had a Beitling leather strap, which was cool, but I soon switched to an original titanium bracelet. Generally, I prefer mechanical watches, but with my frequent international travel, I find the various functions of this quartz watch to be really useful. I look forward to trying on this new version, but the original design is already a very sweet watch.

    I am wearing my Seiko 6306-7001 as I type this, specifically looking into Aerospace EVO. I nearly jumped out of my chair when you flashed your 6309. Just insanity.. I've also own 4 variants of Aerospace over the years. I suppose 5 since I've just ordered this model. My favorite and one which I deeply regret letting go was the E65062 in grey dial with H-link bracelet. It had a cool and dark grey dial that one has to see in person, it's one of the most beautiful execution of Breitling watch.

    The low mass is further reduced by the 22mm tapering bracelet - large footprint low mass so the watch literally disappears on wrist. I’ve had the 2006 model for 14 years of flawless service. My go to travel watch. Some design elements of the Evo don’t appeal to me as much, they supersized it and chunked up the link width which I don’t get. Plus why the skeletonised hour hand? They also haven’t upgraded any of the digital functionality for decades which is odd. Anyway, still an amazing watch. I’m not much into Bretilings mega sized watches but this one is a gem. Best part these watches can be found for 30% AD discounts so it’s a massive bargain.

    Hope somebody can answer this. Maybe I already know the answer. I have stopped buying G shocks with negative LCD displays because I can't see them in low light/dusk conditions. Many of you might know that you have to angle the watch so that light hits the LCD and it can be read. In total darkness the light helps. But in low light where the light isn't bright enough, and there is not enough outdoor light, the LCD is hard for me to see. Is this Breitling the same? Or is the LCD somehow better/brighter? I notice in this video it's a bit difficult to see the readout.

    Wouldn’t mind some more pen reviews. Or other gear that you’re into like flashlights or stuff like the driver set that you did a while back. You’ve done a lot of watch videos as of late. Which, don’t get me wrong, I love them, but I wouldn’t mind seeing some other reviews. Either way, I really enjoy your channel. Attention to detail is something that I think is extremely important, but is becoming more and more rare in modern culture. Keep up the great work man! Have a great 2018

    Nice review! I just got into mechanical watches, but still like the quartz stuff as beater/work watches. They keep their time accurately and don't run down (as fast) when not worn...

    They have been making this watch for over 25 years. It may have been ok years ago, but it has one major defect - the digital display is barely readable. They should have fixed defect this years ago. I'd be embarrassed to tell people I'd pay thousands of dollars for a watch that I could barely read the digital display.....

      Got it, thanks! I think I just dig how small it is and how simple the dial is.. May have to try an Evo on in-store just in case it's not as big as I think, because the fit and finish is definitely a big step up.

    I love the look of the Aerospace, but the problem for me with all of Breitling's titanium watches is they're so soft. They take scratches and dings so easily to the point where every titanium Breitling I look at that's more than a few years old looks like it's been chewed by a dog. The movement is great but I wish they'd make the case and bracelet more durable. If I felt like the watch could take day to day wear without looking an absolute disgrace within a few short years it'd be on my must have list.

    Many Breitling Aerospace batteries leak and damage the movement. You end up incurring in lots of money to fix if.

    • @Al3xRib3iro
      @Al3xRib3iro 6 лет назад +1

      japanwatchconnection, you guessed my case wrong. Maybe because you’re not familiar with the issue. The battery of my watch leaked before it died. The watch started to behave erratically and I sent it to service 3 days later when they found out and informed me about the leak. This is exactly the issue the watch has. The battery will leak BEFORE it runs out. Breitling replied to me saying that they recommend that this model be serviced every 1-2 years to prevent this from happening. But it is not what they wrote in its manual, where you’ll only find “periodically serviced...based on actual use”. I’m not an expert, but as far as I know, for high-end watches, that usually means 4-5 years. They only mention in the manual, under water proofing, 2 years or less in case you dive with the watch, which I never did. A quick research on the web will show you many cases like mine. I have two other Breitlings, a manual Cosmonaute and an automatic Montbrillant Olympus, among other high-end brands. But you’re right, I shouldn’t have a watch like this. Once it comes back from service, I’m going to sell it. If you’re interested, please take it. Just don’t forget to service it every 1-2 years or you may end-up just like me, with a useless “instrument for professionals”.

    • @Al3xRib3iro
      @Al3xRib3iro 6 лет назад

      japanwatchconnection , thanks for sympathizing. It’s an EVO (E7936310/BC27), bought in December 2014. The battery leaked 3 years and 8 months after I purchased it. As I said before, no signs of a dying battery until it started showing funny characters. The dial and hands were also damaged. Water never got in, in case you’re wondering. The gasket was intact and the only times the watch saw water was when I washed it under the tap after hot sweaty days.

    • @Al3xRib3iro
      @Al3xRib3iro 6 лет назад +1

      japanwatchconnection , I bought it brand new as well at a Breitling boutique. The leak happened after the 2-year warranty had ended. Anyway, Breitling accused me of not doing the service as specified in the watch manual and their website (every 1-2 years), although it isn’t written as they claim. However, I read about a leak case which happened within the warranty period but still, according to the owner, it wasn’t covered either. But I don’t know the details. In my case, after long negotiations, Breitling only gave me a discount on the service. That was all. I had no choice but to accept it. My other option, throwing it in the bin, would cause me to incur in even more losses.
