This song holds a deep significance for me. My father and I were sketching together in a forest while listening to Bob Dylan, and he turned to me and said, 'This is your song, Heather Feather.' He passed away just a few weeks later, and I feel an enduring sense of loss. He was not only my father but my best friend, and I miss him profoundly. Every time I hear this song, it brings me closer to him and keeps his memory alive in my heart.

Bob Dylan is so fabulous in his own way of singing to his. audience.
With guitar and harmonica, ( does he have the harmonica holder trademarked, by chance?) he plays with such contentment, in this song.
I am a conservator, and so related very well to this wonderful piece of music.
I clean the darkness away and show the light of the original intent; just as Bob dies as he’s on stage solo, playing the music he composed with such ease. 🎶🎼🎵. Thank you Bob, Well Done 🎶

Egyptian red ring. I like the inclusion of the word "red" in this live version. Such a nice little detail, the word is absent in the album original recording.

Great observation, it does improve the song.

@@jayraskin thank you. Yes I agree, and also at this point it becomes black-and-white. I mean, if the Man says it is red, it's supposed to be red. Without hearing this version, it was up to our imagination what color the mysterious ring may be. I like when things are clear and simple sometimes, although I love using my imagination, too.
