Dylan and Baez the greatest soul mates - It's the casual genius in both of them that makes this even more remarkable - It's a rendition that takes you down a different road - the guitar tugs at you and the vocals draw your mind into the place you want to be - home at peace. Then Bob goes rogue - LOL and Baez the soul mate she is doesn't even react. Exactly right - "A golden piece of History" I return to this often. It's healing.

Bob Dyaln always sounds just that bit nicer when he sings with Joan Baez❤. I think he tried harder, because he thought her voice was so beautiful. I've also never seen him so happy as when he sings with her--I've watched several of their duets, and I've hardly ever seen him smile like he does with her. Their friendship was something beautiful... I always think it's a bit sad their romantic relationship didn't work out, but maybe it was for the best.
Nah. These years , he sang AMAZING.. with anyone . He had a great voice from the beginning through the seventies , always. Yes, by mid to late 80’s things changed. But Bob had a great voice in my opinion
Oh absolutely-Bob’s voice was brilliant, I love it and I’d never say otherwise. There was just a slightly different feel to it when he sang with Baez-maybe it’s just me though😅

Many years ago when I took a singing/voice class at a junior college (well, now called community college), the teacher once told the class that "smoking can really ruin a singing voice, especially after many years of smoking" and advised our class to not smoke. Probably health reasons were mentioned too, but he was emphasizing the detrimental effects of smoking on the singing voice in this class.

I’m having a drink on my porch listening to this, and 2021 isn’t even an hour away. This is a good note to close on. It was the start of this year that my heart was punched, and a lot of this year was colored by that. It was that ache that led me to dig deep into the Dylan catalog, filling the hole with his words. Your work here was a part of that. I appreciate it a lot. 2020 is a year a lot of people will remember with a shiver in their bones, but fortunately for me, it was the year I got to know Dylan. That’s gonna last me the rest of my life.

Always find myself going to these 2 singing harmony ...with their dramatic rythmns . B's voice plays are imaginative and beautiful always ..surprising and never misses a beat. J is consistently gorgeous. She never misses a beat either. He is funny and is The Song and Dance Man. Powerful .. on may levels.
The first time I heard them sing together was on I Shall Be Released, the rolling thunder album. It gave me very real chills when I first heard them sing together. Probably my favorite harmony.
After 40 yrs of playing myself and being a massive Dylan fan with 25 live shows so far from 87 I can say he's definitely improved a lot over the years as a guitarist and singer in my opinion although I think he was amazing to start with.
2+2 = 4 .. he's got that down as a guitarist .. but really he just worked at the guitar till he got a band.. having said that he's a musical phenomenon 🙂

What an incredible guitar that was Dylan found in the early 60’s Apparently it’s a late 20’s early 30’s Nick Lucas special with 12 frets outside the body that was re topped and bridge from a guild . It’s looks like Gibson short scale 24 3/4 from where the bridge is located on the body. The back and sides probably Brazilian rosewood but could be maple as I believe most of them were. If some of this is wrong I stand corrected.

What an incredible guitar that was Dylan found in the early 60’s
Apparently it’s a late 20’s early 30’s Nick Lucas special with 12 frets outside the body that was re topped and bridge from a guild .
It’s looks like Gibson short scale 24 3/4 from where the bridge is located on the body.
The back and sides probably Brazilian rosewood but could be maple as I believe most of them were.
If some of this is wrong I stand corrected.
