For those Smoked Turkey Legs:
Place in an OVAL (not round-won’t fit)- crock pot. Drizzle with olive oil. Place on low when you go to bed. (Or first thing when you wake up.😃). Cook all night...or all day.
Remove meat from bones. Throw back in crock pot with the juices.
Add fresh green beans (pound or so-your choice)
Add chopped sweet onion.
Cover and cook on medium for 1-2 hrs until beans are cooked. ENJOY!

I LOVE the idea of putting things into a ziplock before the freezer/sealer bag. That would save a lot of money and mess!
Hi Debbie. Yes, it saves mess on the bags and keeps the juices contained so they don't get sucked up into my vacuum sealer. those bags are pricey so this just helps me save!

Great job getting your freezer organized! I also put meat in zip lock bags and flash freeze before vacuum sealing it. That does prevent any meat juices from being sucked into the machine. I only have the bottom freezer in my French door refrigerator, so am limited on space. I think I will see what kind of organizing I can do while pressure canning some meats! Thanks for the inspiration!

LOL I watched Alaska Prepper, Homestead Heart, Sutton's Daze and RedRose Homestead for inspiration and excellent instructions. I've only done meats, but hope to get some veggies done this summer. I use baskets too, I haven't tried those exact ones but I should they are sturdier.

Great video Denise. My freezers are nemesis. I try to organize my shelves by type of meat. Pork, beef, poultry etc., and the basket for frozen vegetables. It never fails...I have an overflow and have to place it on a different shelf. Maybe using containers is a better idea. Hummm? TFS.

Hi Tammy, I'm glad you are here. Tell me about your homekeeping challenges. I'll see if its something I can fit into my editorial plan. I encourage you to consider taking some time with my homemaker's live streams and catching that info. I was talking about the importance of routines and how to use your planner. It might be a good place to start. But...they are long so put them on while you're cooking, cleaning, or folding laundry. Multitask!

When I freeze soup, chili, vegetables in bags I lay them flat. I am going to look for bins like yours.

I dropped a FROZEN brisket on my foot while working at Wal-Mart in 2015.
I was working Self-Check out when it happened. I let out a scream. I was bent over crying, when one of the managers came over. She touched me and I started cussing!!
They got me off the floor took me to the office. Removed my socks and shoes! It was covered in BLOOD! It cracked the nail on my left big toe!!
I HAVE NOT EATEN BRISKET SINCE!!
Oh my goodness. I can only imagine because that bag of frozen okra hit the top of my foot in just the right spot and OMG. I did let out a very unladylike expletive. You didn't get fired did you? I mean for cussing in front of customers? Wow! I'll bet that was the least of the manager's worries.

NO, I didn't. BUT, I did lose my job a few months later. My health started deteriorating and I missed too many days. I hated that they made me work ALL DAY!! 😠😠
If you gonna fire me, do it when I walk in the door. Then I can have the day to myself. To do what I want to do! But, it worked out for the best!! Because, I believe I would have dropped dead from the stress!!
Do you mix your cleaning vinegar with water in your spray bottle? Do you ever use cleaning vinegar full strength?
The spray bottle I was using was a purchased cleaning vinegar by Four Monks but yes, I will mix the vinegar with water. It depends on what I'm doing. In the bathroom, I'm using 1 part vinegar, one part, Dawn dishwashing liquid, and one part water. It makes a nice cleaner and the smell is not overpowering. In the fridge...I might just add a little water.
