      Hi LinZLou, I'm always glad when you drop in. Yes, when your kitchen is small it does seem to make the mess larger. The good thing is that in small kitchens, one must really have a place for everything so it's easy to get them sorted out. What did you like best about this video?

    • @homemakingwithdenise
      @homemakingwithdenise  3 года назад

      @Nancy H Oh Nancy, you won't find one for what you can sell yours for. You might even find a smaller one that costs more. You might be better off remodeling the kitchen where you are. Housing prices are crazy today. Try getting an estimate as to your cost. You might find it's wrth it and may add value to your home.

    So Denise, I just found your RUclips channel yesterday and I did leave a comment about how glad I was to find you and that my husband actually comes from Fort Wayne Indiana Indiana. Well today, while I've been doing wash even though I don't feel that great,I've been listening to a few more of your RUclips messages on differing subject matters. This last one was so good to listen to bc who doesn'tneedto revamp closets fromtimetotime. One thing I might mention to the younger folks who are getting in on this homemaker's concept Is that there's always going to be projects to do. Keeping that in mind is so helpful because you won't feel overwhelmed. There are days when you can be perfectionistic in a task and there are days when just need to get it done. Your role modeling is very good of just clean as you go. Never letting things in a particular day get out of hand is just truly the answer for anyone who wants to keep a neat and organized home. No home is perfect all the time as you have said. Looking forward to listen to more of your videos. Ps...Aren't Dawn, Cassy & Deena so good for the millennials. Melissa Maker also. • @homemakingwithdenise
      @homemakingwithdenise  День назад +1

      The flour sac towels I get at Walmart. To keep them nice…first I rinse them out then hand wash them with Dawn dishwashing liquid. Then, I’ll start a soak bucket with my kitchen linens…dish cloths and towels. I will use a little laundry detergent, a little OxiClean White Revive and fill the bucket with cold water. Submerge the towels and let them sit overnight. Then I throw them in the wash and use white vinegar in the fabric softener bin, I also set aside certain ones to use to strain the fish grease. That way, if they get a little yellow it’s no big deal.

      I know Terra, it's just so self-defeating to come down to a dirty kitchen. Did you hear that big sigh when I looked around? But I am glad you enjoyed watching the entire routine.

    What a great video Denise! 😀 I am starting a big ‘loft’ declutter in April and I hadn’t thought about planning it out on paper, thank you for the inspiration and motivation, I’m off to find my notebook and pencil now to start planning! 😀💕🇬🇧xx

      Hi Emma, I'm glad this video proved useful. So this is what I did...I counted how many pieces or sections I had to "clean" and came up with 27 separate pieces and added in a few extrapieces for "just in case." And then I looked at my calendar and looked at what four days a week I would work and plotted that on the calendar leaving out my free days and most Saturdays and Sundays. I knew I was starting on April 1 but after plotting the 33 pieces on the calendar I could see the end date. Let me know if this is helpful.

    Ms. Denise, your soup looks delicious! I love Jiffy as well!! Also love your homemaking video's! You give me motivation! I did all our dresser drawers and chest of drawers , folding the clothes to were I can get them organized, and neatly put away, and more in the drawers! Decluttering at the same time!!

      Sharon, we are all on a journey. This journey to home organization and decluttering is never ending. I am glad you've been motivated to get some things done. And you know, you can put on n audio book or music while you work and it just helps the time pass. I'm working at trimming down my wardrobe. That will help me stay organized in my dresser drawers.
