    Role plays are the worst and I can't believe that employers really think that is representative of how that person would react in a real life situation. At best it rules out the ones that can't even do it in a fake situation.
    I remember when I was in high school and had to do role plays for something (I think it was careers class) and I refused to do any of the practice ones. I did it when I had to for a grade and still remember the teacher saying that I did it much better than they were expecting.

      I don't mind role playing when it's on my terms, such as in the video. But role playing to impress people at work? No. I have a job to do and I want to get it done so I can do the things I actually want to do.

      Work has even more layers of nuance and hidden agendas that I need to navigate just so I can get to the end of the week. I'm still thinking about yesterday at work (a supermarket... the only job I could get because of job interviews, which you articulated perfectly, by the way).
    I was talking to a co-worker about a problem on the shelves that I had noticed. Our boss walked behind me and said hello. My co-worker said hello but I was mid-sentence and did not stop.
    She (boss) got offended that I did not say hello and brought it up later. I offered lame excuses that I'm still thinking about today, and will probably be thinking about next week, next year, next decade... I wasn't sure if she was talking to me ffs.

    I have to put on the performance of my life in job interviews. They’re 80% personality tests/ whether your face fits and the other 20% is based on whether you can actually do the job in question. I too have to act in my job and pretend to be as NT as possible. I can do my job without speaking to hardly anyone all day unless I need help. Then when it comes to having conversations with co-workers, I constantly have some of the following questions going around in my head;
    Am I giving enough eye contact?
    Am I talking too much?
    Am I looking away too often?
    Have I spoken about a certain topic for too long?
    Does the other person think I’m strange?
    I still go through and recite conversations I’ve had from several years ago.

      They shouldn't be personality tests, but they are. The questions you listed are ones I also ask myself while also trying to listen to the other person/people, and while probably simultaneously thinking about my next RUclips video. Oh yeah, and often they'll pop into my head, just cuz.
      They've often resulted in me feeling badly about myself, but since being on this autism discovery journey, they have provided many lightbulb aha moments that explains my ND. So, these flashbacks in the past few months have thankfully resulted in less self-shaming and self-ableism, and instead more self-discovery and self-forgiveness.

Too bad The Beekeeper, Jason Stratham can't kick some ass for the autistic hive...lol..If one is autistic like anyone often we have positive traits we don't recognise. Google Autism positive traits for emplpyers. We posess many sought after traits. Uplifting to view those for just reminder. Feel for others with masking and unmasking. Myself autistic male. I got a huge silver lining gift out of a not good origin. unaware of autism. Wasn't a real known then. I felt I was a chameleon often. At age 9 my father became off and on terrifying. A monster. Logic said I would be murdered any day so by age 11 ..I chose to just be my wonderfull self always. Incentive gonna die anyway so outweighed hiding.Any differents, weirds all good. People can sense others not o.k. with selves, and we beat ourselves, question ourselves, and so a myriad of issues are created. So free of that i was social, ccnfidant, well liked, resiliant, fun seeking. Allistic like in an allistic world. Outside of home the value of just being freely myself as may be dead that day was powerfull, transforming. Awareness decades later. I maybe would choose to mask to not live the horrors in trade? Uh maybe live that hell not to endure masking as others? And be saddled with all that. Coin flip. The stories are sad and sobering, feel for others. Difficult for me to identify people situations common for asd. Obviously people are fckd with for being true. Somehow I didn't encounter those kind of pepple. Dunno why? I am way hellu intelligent but always masked that part of me. Still people sense that and was a deadly beautiful male. Beautifull people are treated different, dunno what created goods..? Lost on that one as most get some kinda asd kick back. Times and people have changed so much. Thx for the video dude , i myself am a bee. My surname is Bigbee. Old english means royal pain. I live up to it. Lol . Not a monarchist. Cannot be bothered with Charles. But i admire Elizabeth. Being born into that rediculous business she pulled it off. We are distant cousins with our bloodlines. Your channel feels like a mystery series. Love it.

      Thank you, Steven. I want to do a video about autistic traits, but I hadn't thought about doing one in the context of sought-after employability skills. Fascinating origin of your surname!

      Ha ha! The hypocrisy ('benefit scroungers' v royal family freeloaders) drives me wild.

    aaauuugggggg I'm not too fond of those interview questions. I always get nervous and it never comes out how I want it to be.
