I do concrete. Been in it for four years. Without a doubt, your videos give the best idea of what it's like to do concrete. Please keep doing POV videos. Honestly if all you did was put on a go pro through a pour without any edits, it would already be better than every other concrete video out there.
Other than it makes some people that like to watch your videos 😵💫😅 maybe if you hadn’t been in such a big hurry 😢
One of the hardest jobs out there. I'm 6'8" and my first father in law had a concrete business and when it hit 35°C here in Queensland Australia you wanted too be anywhere else but near bloody concrete.
Walking around back, you said not much to look at now. I know what you meant, but still, i thought the patio wout any color or definition was beautiful. The broken stone edge really does look nice, but if the yard goes up against it, nothing lost. I was so happy to hear you say that you was sure to keep the mix tight because of the downward grade. I spent three decades driving forklifts up and down a concrete road poured too wet and left to travel after the concrete guys left. Those indoor lifts w solid tires, no suspension and loose material on the forks was a bad headache!!! After joining your channel i learned how they did that by watching you not do that!! The kids helping w the cold patch warmed my heart. For the next 20 years every time they pass that drive they'll remember putting hands on the build. So cool!! Late truck. I kniw that's not the first time, i also know how well you handle pressure. Even though you had no seconds to spare, you still stopped and relocated the camera for us!! Thanks Tom. Tom I’m so glad that I’m retired after watching this podcast I was a concrete Forman for over 35 years with a very large company and I feel for you but I loved what I was doing it gets in your blood.

My personal respect Cement technicians, has definitely grown up and onwards in the past few years, at 68 I obviously missed so many opportunities in my career, although I achieved many concrete objectives by hand around my home, I had no idea how amazing, 😊😊.

Id love to come work with ya for a week just to give concrete a try i know i could finish. I do flooring for a living and have floated and patched hundreds of floors for sheet vinyl which has to be really smooth. Love your videos.

I enjoy your videos so much Tom. Always wished I learned concrete work as I admire the talent it takes to create your projects. One question. I had a small sidewalk poured beside my garage and it was sealed after 24 hrs. Is there any point in sealing it again after 2 years now.
In Florida it's hot like that almost all year you definitely would have sold your tools down here.
Worst feeling in the world. Hot day and a hot load. Makes for sore hands and frustration.

Just my opinion, that approach to the front porch is way to shallow. As someone who's had over 40 years moving stuff, people in and out of homes. That's a death trap waiting to happen. It should have come out 3 feet more, you could have had your swerve cut, but a straight slant as you would use a hand truck or dolly, even carrying a sofa or divan. Trip Hazzard every time. I know it was probably the home owners finances or practical approach. And aspect saying, esstecticly summoning up, why wasn't a path from front to back did ??? Owner financial records not good, or wasn't suggested. I have done, it's done right the 1st time around. Not in stages we're nothing will remain intact and on even cue. Time, pressure and unseen erosion takes place.
