Great work and nice to see you care about your work and making it right. A true Craftsman. Appreciate your passion of creating a grand sidewalk. At the end of the day you know you did the best job for others to Appreciate too. Thank you for showing this. A great leader you are for others to see!
- Your videos demonstrate the skills and care needed in concrete work. Concrete finishing technique kind of similar to skimming plaster. Again the care and pride your team has in what most of us would call a ordinary sidewalk is very professional.
Well done! Can I assume your crew receives periodic performance reviews? Like, every day. 😂 Just kidding. You do a great job of keeping everyone doing it the same way and praising their excellent work.
I love watching true professionals doing their given trade's. You and your company are true professionals. I've put in concrete for a sidewalk and for RV parking pads and I have to say I'm not a concrete guy but I have done some in 17 + years of campground maintenance. I'm not a professional but I am truly amazed at the amount of time and effort it All takes And am never surprised by the amount of criticism My bossed have yet they never have done the actual work. Thanks for taking us along with you and for teaching me how much work you All have to do. I have told my newest boss to check out your channel and too my surprise he has and now I get to set form's up for the fall instead of trying too get 4 pads a day I think we're going to get 14 12x35 pads poured and complete the rest of the pull thru camp sites. So thanks for helping me out.
TOM, great information! Thanks for sharing your experience for the DIY guy. Being a Professional Contractor, yinz make it LOOK easy! I may be the boss of the job, ... but Concrete is the OWNER! LOL Good stuff!
Enjoyed your informative video Tom! Means a lot to us self-doers (Retired old people?) to have professional advice shared. Still trying to decide as to how I want the patio project we've been looking at here on our back yard to go. Simplest way possible is desired. #CheapOldManHere #BadBackIssuesToo
Third video. So much to say about your channel. First country side looks gorgeous. You do the road sidewalk?, here the subdivision contractor does that. Great job
I bet u stayed booked up with jobs to do. Your a perfectionist 😜. People appreciate a great job done for them. You never mind spending your money on a flawless, beautiful job!!
Awesome this will help me a lot. When you take the cream for the joints, it leaves a mark on the broom finish. Do you just broom it again? Or do you float it again and broom once again? Ty from Denmark 🇩🇰
How about forming? Creating a base? Does it need to slope so rain doesn't sit on top? DIYers need a lot more info than this if there gonna do it themselves.
Can A DIY'er actually do this? Do you have to have rock base underneath? What's the key to getting the forms right for slope? Any good books or videos just on forms?
We all realize it is not easy to do the work of true craftsmen and film but thanks for making it happen. I am sure you guys have fun every day not just Saturday. Be safe and be careful.
I’m curious as to why you don’t use any steel on outside concrete? I have been doing small sections of sidewalk and have been finishing it with a pass or two with a steel trowel and seems to be ok.
Gas lines in our neighborhood have been replace, and some concrete driveways had to be cut and repaired. Mine is asphalt but my neighbors had concrete repaired. It is more white in color than gray. Why does this happen?. It is sooo obvious, that Id be pissed if it were mine. What causes the different shades?
You put a 6in finish edge at the end of the walk on the joint side. Shouldn't you use a 1.5 inch edger to match the joint if your gonna continue the walk?
Repent to Jesus Christ! Are you a sinner? Mark 2:17 King James Version 17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Nice to see techniques being shared! I find a lot of guys don’t like to share.Great job as always!
Tom,
What a good way to show the homeowner the proper way to finish concrete. It's a talent that you have and comes from years of experience. Thankyou
Excellent tip at the end for what time to be talking to your concrete provider, and the makeup of the concrete!

You're a very good instructor. Covering the subtle details sets you apart from many of the other concrete how to videos.
Congratulations on reaching 5000 subscribers!
Exactly the video i needed
Now that was a nice video to watch. I can't argue with anything said in it. Great video and I look forward to the next.

I don't have any immediate concrete work ahead but really enjoying your videos. Keep up the great work

Your getting better and better with the videos!
Your knowledge, skill and attention to detail is excellent! Thanks, the videos are great, too.
i wish all your vids were like this...the process is satisfying to me.
Artist at work!
Thanks for explaining. If people don't do it themselves at least they know what it should look like. Great job.

great educational video.nice job
Great video and tips!👍🏻
Informative and interesting.
Your years of experience make it look easy.
Craftsmanship is over the top. Your tips are very good, but, I still hate to deal with concrete. Have a nice day.
Good video
Nice job
perfection

We spray diesel fluid when brooming side walks here in California with a horse hair broom
In Florida where we lived for 11 years, I think they use shells in concrete, which also makes car tires not last so long
My 10 year old knees feels that brooming.
Awesome this will help me a lot. When you take the cream for the joints, it leaves a mark on the broom finish. Do you just broom it again? Or do you float it again and broom once again? Ty from Denmark 🇩🇰
Hey, Tom when will your team be doing Mike Morgan's barn?
Can you do video on how to find your grade with string if you don't have a lazor.
Which is better for a sidewalk. Jointing or saw cut. I think the jointing had a better visual result
А в Московской области вы делаете работы по бетонированию?
How about forming? Creating a base? Does it need to slope so rain doesn't sit on top? DIYers need a lot more info than this if there gonna do it themselves.
Yes, we talk about it in many many videos 2% quarter inch per foot cross slope
Can A DIY'er actually do this? Do you have to have rock base underneath? What's the key to getting the forms right for slope? Any good books or videos just on forms?
On a small scale. Limestone. 2%.
We all realize it is not easy to do the work of true craftsmen and film but thanks for making it happen. I am sure you guys have fun every day not just Saturday. Be safe and be careful.
Tom do you do all your editing?
Tom is this sidewalk a HOA contract pour or homeowner ? do you stamp your company name on any of your pours
I’m curious as to why you don’t use any steel on outside concrete? I have been doing small sections of sidewalk and have been finishing it with a pass or two with a steel trowel and seems to be ok.
I know a lot of guys use steel trowels outside. I preferred to use a float and keep a thicker paste on top of the aggregate.
What would you do if a bird shite on before completely set?
Gas lines in our neighborhood have been replace, and some concrete driveways had to be cut and repaired. Mine is asphalt but my neighbors had concrete repaired. It is more white in color than gray. Why does this happen?. It is sooo obvious, that Id be pissed if it were mine. What causes the different shades?
No wire or rebar?
Are there any jobs you turn down?
Hey Tom, why do you not use a steel trowel outside? Beginner finisher asking
I feel the traps to bleed water. And weekends the surface
Thanks for the quick response
It’s just not as easy as you make it look! Do you think you could frost a cake using your knowledge on concrete?
Why magnesium outside?
Steel does not leave enough cream at the surface
You put a 6in finish edge at the end of the walk on the joint side. Shouldn't you use a 1.5 inch edger to match the joint if your gonna continue the walk?
when is the morgans job?
I wish we didn't live so far away from you and your business, I would hire you to put aprons on my pole barn for entering the doors.
It is supose to have wire mesh inside the concrete to avoid cracking. Bad job.
Repent to Jesus Christ!
Are you a sinner?
