    The new FLEX miter saw is here! This saw is an absolute beast. Miter saws have come a long way, and Flex has just taken them even further!
    Ive had the Flex miter saw for about a week now, and I am loving it! Let me know in the comments what you think!

    I am a hobbyist and a DIYer. I need a miter saw for a few upcoming projects. I spent a good chunk of the last 48h reviewing Lithium battery operated miter saws. I concentrated my research on the more popular brands like Milwaukee, Bosch, Makita, Metabo, and DeWalt. I was pretty much set on the M18 Fuel 2734-21 Milwaukee 10" miter saw as a best compromise, until I saw this video, and a few other reviews of this same FX7141A-1J Flex 12" miter saw by other popular reviewers. I just placed an order on ACME Tools for this miter saw based in good part on your review. Thank you very much!!

    Hi John, I'm a makita guy , but I respect your love for the flex tools and your rational statements about the use of the tools. People get caught up in the entertainment and have no clue of how the tools are being used on the jobsite.

    I’m really excited for this. I’m just a professional homeowner / aspiring DIY’er, but plan to make this my first miter saw since I already have a lot of Flex tools, and when I mess around with a DSW780 in person, I see this Flex saw just having more ease-of-use things I’d appreciate at around the same price point. Plus a lifetime warranty. Not sure about their table saws, however - I think I’d rather save for a compact SawStop. I mean I have all of Flex’s circular saws too which is overkill. Be cool to make a track for them (or even a Flex track saw).

    Jon I think you first came on my radar when you were doing Span electrical panel review but I've watched a bunch of your videos. They're good. Keep doing what you're doing and thanks for the content brother!

    you know, the Flex color scheme sort of reminds me a little bit of Festool and that's starting to grow on me quickly.

      @@JonDawson I am thinking about ordering the miter saw soon. I am a Milwaukee guy, but I simply love that ac adapter capability. Hopefully, it doesn't break like the Flexvolt, which my company owns.

    I am really curious of how much deflection it has fully extended at 90 degrees and deflection on a 45 degree bevel fully extended. I am a woodworker and at the moment the saw with the least amount of deflection is the Festool. But I am not about to drop $1,700 on a miter saw.

      id love to speak on this with some level of authority...but as a general contractor and mediocre woodworker at best...I couldn’t tell you. I do know is has significantly less than some ridged and Milwaukee saws I've used. As for this saw compared to my dewalt DWS780 its as smooth if not more so when it comes to blade movement... basically I don’t notice any blade deflection..but thats coming from someone not really looking for 32nds or anything extremely precise.

      @@JonDawson Thank you, if you don’t notice it, then it’s better than the norm. I had a Kobalt and sold because the deflection was so bad.

    I just Graduated trade school for electrical and I was looking for a tool brand to invest in and after watching some of your vids I've been thinking about getting some flex products especially their stack pack. keep these vids coming.

      You wont be disappointed! My only reservation on Flex is the limited tool selection. For me they have everything I need and are dropping new tools ALL the time. But as an electrician, just check out what they have and make sure the carry what you need. If they do, GO FOR IT! The quality and run time are unmatched! And also, by the time you grow to a full arsenal, im sure they will have all that you need!

    my 1 handed recip blade release broke this week funny you should mention it lol. also i saw on another vid that the cord converter is 200 bucks works for the table saw too but not other tools.

    At this price point it should be a front slider

    • @JonDawson
      @JonDawson  5 месяцев назад

      I hate front sliders haha but I do know A LOT of people like those. If you want a front slider or articulated arm saw id definitely look at Bosch or Makita. Heavy, but baller saws!
