I have generalized anxiety disorder, and have been struggling for most of my life; I consider horror movies, and other ‘scary’ things, as controlled fear. Because I am choosing to let my emotions be influenced I end up feeling a sense of enjoyment and find it fun. It makes sense in a way. Usually horror films are predictable, and there’s always the option to look away- while in the real world there’s no option to stop the worry and dread.
Also there’s very little that can compare to being strangled by the sleep paralysis ceiling demon lady lmao.

I understand completely , then if I need a light hearted twist to the horror I watch something like Shaun Of the Dead never fails to make me laugh haha. Thank you for stopping by !

It's hard to explain why the Japanese Ringu strikes the right chord for me and not the US Ring, except that I saw Ringu in the best way possible: late at night in a darkened room without pre-knowledge of the story. It also helped that I'm Japanese and did not have to depend on the subtitles, which are adequate but by no means masterful. (I've done subtitle work myself so I think I have a right to judge subtitles.)

Subtitle work always goes under-appreciated, so I salute you! You’re lucky you went in blind because most of the time that’s the best way to enjoy a film or series. Thanks for watching !

You'd like the movie I Am Hero. It is a Japanese, Live Action, zombie manga. I wanna say they have rage virus, been aehile since I've seen it. They definetly retain skills from their past life. It is wild.

I used to really hate "horror movies" besides like goofy things like tremors. Funnily enough the one that actually got me more into it was hellraiser of all things, i enjoyed that one a decent amount (and also i heard it inspired berserk.... I guess you could say berserk the anime actually is what got me more into "horror" but i could talk about that all day, that and fear and hunger dark souls etc). Recently i have been venturing out and watching more horror of my own and while i do enjoy the cheesyness factor of like old horror movies some of the newer stuff i am enjoying, like i watched barbarian and that was a fun one. I really find myself watching horror stuff a bit more every once in awhile and I have found i like the movies that have a bit of jank to them....
then again i remember watching "drop dead fred" when i was young and maybe the fact that i used to like that movie was horrifying in itself lol... i havent seen it in years but i doubt it holds up haha, but either way i feel like i enjoy movies that people say "have flaws" much more then movies people say are "10/10 masterpieces" many times i feel the "10/10 masterpieces" just feel soulless, while i enjoy it when a movie tries and fails at something. and sometimes things we think are flaws are actually the most important part of something and what makes it special.
It definitely is a special moment when you go to watch something or a genre you havent tried and it just gets you, its definitely a unique experience. As a side note I watched Godzilla Minus One and that was my first "real" godzilla movie, I watched the legendary godzilla movies and the kong movies and i liked those but i really enjoyed minus one, and i guess in a way it was kinda a "horror movie" compared to the legendary ones. granted i guess there is also the goofy side of Godzilla but i didnt think i would ever be super into godzilla and i felt a lot of what makes it special, i watched shin godzilla as well and that was also great.

@@Cyb3rSnail Appreciate you stopping by in this comment as well! i first saw your videos from the "is it really so different" and that i really enjoyed, reminded me of myself when i tried to get friends and people into anime before i just accepted that they will have to find it for themselves if they want to haha.... and then anime started getting more popular around that time lol, still feels kinda surreal to have people talking about anime and manga more upfront after it having to be one of those things you hid besides like saying "i like dragon ball z and pokemon" and for me yu gi oh or whatever.... but im rambling lol, manga/anime was another thing kinda like horror games where i was kinda aganst it a little but it grew on me and i had some stuff i really liked
Your videos are very easy to listen to and flow really well and your voice/recording is nice to listen to, video quality is definitely up there with people who have 10s of thousands of subscribers and views. Keep it up, i feel like if you keep making solid videos like this the algorithm will recommend your videos to more people and you will definitely get more views and stuff. As someone who has listened and watched a frankly absurd amount of youtube videos, you make consistently good videos

@@tdotitan8855 thank you for the kind words I really appreciate it ! I know my uploading is bit sporadic at times but, I rather take time to craft something that people can enjoy . I’m glad you’re one of those people ! Thank you again really !

@@Cyb3rSnail your welcome! I would rather the video take longer to come out and be good then be rushed! (there is something to be said about consistency and being better for the algorithm and all of that inside baseball stuff but i feel that really that is just a good way to burn yourself out, i know i have made that mistake IRL for sure, sometimes it can be good to really make consistent content but i feel like if you are doing it for a job it kinda loses its magic a bit, doesnt mean its impossible to do and there are sacrifices no matter what you do in life but i feel like sometimes theres something special about just doing something to do it instead of "i need to make 4 videos this week, i have one video i really like and 2 that i kinda want to do and 1 that is there to for the algorithm, oh and also if the video doesnt do well then thats stressful lol, especially if its the main thing someone does for a living
Plus it seems like in the past couple years people can get away with being more sporadic in uploads if they get popular enough, there are a couple youtubers i watch that make like 4 videos a year but they are 10/10 videos and they get recommended a bunch, so I feel like odds are you get a really interesting/popular video there is a decent chance it helps the channel and all of that.
But i could talk about that all day haha, hopefully me commenting helps out a bit with discoverability or whatever. thanks again for also taking the time to reply to these comments i have kinda written alot lol
