I really enjoyed watching your video!!!!!! I am a 74 year old Nana and have always wanted to work with wood. I have done very little with a table saw. My husband helped me cut a few pieces for crafting a few years ago. He passed away years ago and half ago and I want to make me a book shelf for my bedroom. While watching you I think I could surely do this. You are fantastic and the shelves are gorgeous!! Thanks so much for sharing. I’m subscribing to your channel because if I learned this much in such a short time I’m excited to see what more you do. Thanks Nana Brenda

simple and highly effective. sometimes you don't need dovetails and castle joints to make something beautiful and useful.

Love this design Shara, the bookshelf is gorgeous! In my experience, the "haters of pocket holes", are generally woodworkers who have a shop filled with thousands of dollars of every high-end speciality carpentry power tool, the finest hand tools, and a stash of the most expensive wood on the market. I think they hate that Pocket Holes have.made the average DIYer capable of building so many amazing projects without all the expensive tools. It's a "tool snob" sort of thing in my opinion. Just silly!

That’s a pretty unique design, I like how it gives you places for tap and short items. I think you made the right choice putting the vertical support inset, that way it doesn’t stick out the back and prevent the unit from pushing flush against the wall (or as close as the trim will allow)

Respect to you and all other woodworkers that make it look so easy, it is very different from construction. Thank you for sharing!

Great job. For cabinets and sheet-good work the pocket holes work great. I wasted so much time making dadoes and rabbets building cabinets for several projects because I thought it was the “right way” and it is impossible to tell the difference from the ones I put together with pocket holes. I appreciate that many of your projects can be finished in a timely manner because as much I appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into fine furniture I do not have 6 months to a year to spend building one piece. Great work Shara!

Shara, I just love the simplicity of this project and the fantastic result! I think when I share it with my Sisters the sawdust will be flying. Since watching you build stuff for quite a while now I've adopted many of your techniques and processes as I've found them to work really well. I try to be open to new ideas and I can say I don't think your use of pocket holes, edge banding or rip cut tools is anything you need to apologize for. I am sorry to learn you've received some unkind feedback. I bet those people don't have a Bubby or Lucy to add balance to their life! The weather here has turned HOT so I've been working in the shop mornings and evenings. Midday I watch great You Tubes like yours or take a nap. Always a pleasure. Thanks for Sharing!
