That last comment "make sure I am dead before closing the coffin" gave me a bit of a chuckle as it mirrored the conversation I had with my mom before she died. She also made me promise to make sure she was actually dead and even though I knew she was gone I had to keep my promise so before the funeral director closed the coffin I put my fingers against a bump on her wrist and gave it a good squeeze. That bump had been on her wrist since I was a boy, she said it had something to do with arthritis, anyhow, anytime me or one of my brothers would touch or hit that lump she would bug out because it sent a shot of pain through her wrist. Since she didn't sit bolt upright with that squeeze on her wrist I knew she was for sure, for sure gone. LOL

But she couldn’t forgive Diana for villainizing every member of her family, her sister included. THAT’S when they stopped being friends. Which I find incredibly understandable. Charles cheated but so did Diana. In fact, Diana actually admitted that she cheated on Charles first in an interview. She cheated with multiple men and broke up many marriages in the process. I like Diana too, but even I see that she was not blameless in the marriage. It would be hypocritical to hate Camilla and Charles for how the Wales' marriage ended, yet have no issue with the fact that Diana caused many divorces in other marriages. @@eileennardi

I never forgot Ms. Manville in that role and now that we have You Tube I've watched her scenes over and over ('...but I had no reason to want him out of the way", and "Mr. Poirot, you are forgetting yourself!") I'm a card player, too, so that made me enjoy Mrs. Lorrimer/Lesley Manville all the more! She has that wonderful mix of talent and presence. Now that we have "The Crown" I can enjoy and appreciate Ms. Manville's acting in a new role and I hope that in this country she will be far better known by many new fans.

That could have been part of it. Even if Elizabeth had withheld permission for Harry to marry Meaghan, Harry would most likely have married her anyway causing an even bigger scandal. The Queen would have known this.
Margaret is actually an interesting precedent for Harry and Meghan because Margaret divided her time between Kensington Palace and her house in Mustique where she spent a lot of time, ie. effectively living between two countries and remaining a working Royal.
If Harry and Meagan had been a bit cleverer and taken their time they could likely have ended up with a similar arrangement that Margaret had, dividing their time between California and London.
