My goal was to run a PR which was 3:26:03. I finished in 3:17:59 🔥 I was shocked because I did not expect to accomplish a sub-3:20 marathon this soon in my running career. I was feeling good and I paced this race so well that I didn’t feel the pain until the final turn on Boylston. The crowds and cool weather helped, of course. It was wet but it was not windy and icy cold which I was happy about. Overall, it was an incredible race. Now, I know why some people do this every year. It puts you on a high you don’t want to end.
My goal was to go under 2:55 but came up short with 3:03 but hey that's marathon racing, Boston was a blast!! Great meeting you and the DGR group on Sunday.... See you back in Boston in 2024!
Man had the best time. Ran my slowest marathon ever. Ha. 4:20. Never been over 4. But been battling injuries since last June. My daughter and I got to meet you on the street. She crushed it and ran a 3:07. I am on road to recovery and will be back. DGR strong.
Our gathering at democracy brewing was the cherry on the cake for the best race weekend. Thanks for being there Seth and giving a great perspective from a spectators angle. The footage of Hereford really captured the last uphill grit and determination of the runners! DGR strong(er than ever)! 🎉
My goal was to get home in under 2:50 and I’m happy to say I accomplished that goal and then some! My time was 2:47:09 and I also finished in the top 2,000 in 1,354th place! Thank you Seth for an amazingly inspiring group run the day before❤️ And the downpour was a fitting way to end it because it was all guts at that point anyways!!💪 Boston I will be back. Hopefully Seth will join me on the start line😎
Great job everyone racing and cheering. That was an incredible experience. Did not get a sub 3 but was able to shave 1 minute of my PR with a 3:02:40 🔔🔔. Very happy as it was a tough grind out there. Once again, it was great to meet up in person! Onward and Upward DGR 💪.
It’s cliche, but running a 2:57:39 PR (by a whopping 13 seconds quicker than Chicago 2022) in Boston was truly a privilege and an honor. A day that will not be soon forgotten. Boston absolutely lived up to the hype- the crowd support, particularly considering the less than ideal spectating weather, was unreal. Gotta clap up for my wife for trucking a 3, 5, & 7 year old to Framingham to see me around 10K, then “race” back into the city and walk nearly 2 miles to see us again around 26 mi., getting caught in a downpour in the process. She’s the real MVP 👏 👏 👏 P.S. Seth- saw you at Mile 1 and appreciated the shoutout right back at me 📣
I was at the meet up on Sunday and ran Monday. I just got to watch your vlogs from the week, and watching the runners at about the 10 minute mark and just seeing the runners make the turn brings it all back!!!! Tears as in watching, Seth. I can't thank you enough for this moment. And, I've watched almost every vlog over the last two plus years. But my wife was impacted so much by the meet up. She just kept saying how magical you are, Seth. She's right. You have a magnetic personality. Thank you for creating this community!!
QD: goals were ranging anywhere from PR and as fast as 2:55 to enjoying myself and 3:15. The downhills after Newton were actually what really did me in. Hamstrings got real right. Finished in 3:19:15. Still happy about the whole experience, though!
The Boston Marathon is special. People dream of qualifying and work hard to get there. The area takes ownership of the event and shows up to support the runners. I enjoy watching each year and was able to run it last year. Thanks for covering the race and sharing your experience with us.
Thanks for giving us a glimpse “behind the scenes” of the Boston Marathon...I could see and feel the emotion as the athletes turned onto Boylston! Well done to everyone....such as amazing accomplishment!
Thanks for coming out and recording some great footage! I think I just missed you on the Boylston turn, what a cool spot to film and see everyone push to the finish. The crowds made it feel like you were floating at times. Much love
Goals were: A) official PR sub-2:50, B) sub-3 and C) Finish! Managed a 2:48:25 (age 52yr), so hit my A goal! Amazing race and atmosphere. It went by so fast with all the different sections, crowds, weather etc. Loved meeting Seth and the DGR crew at the shakeout run Sunday! 💪👏👍
Great great great. LOVE THIS VLOG. I wish it was 2 hours long. Thanks for sharing Seth and it was great to meet you on the group run and on the streets on Boston. See you in NYC !
Hey Seth, great video. I’m the random guy who came up and said hello to you at Democracy. Great to see you there! Your videos helped me BQ and break three hours. Thanks and keep them coming. - Mike
@@infinitegaming1015 I know they try to say it isn't permitted, but I guarantee RUclips will side with Seth if if BAA makes a baseless media rights claim.
@@iambrent they sell exclusive broadcast rights to every picture and video of the race, with private and non-monetary use only. They make it pretty clear, and they are stubborn old caggers no doubt. This video won't make it to the weekend up.
8:26 that was JP Flavin! A local Hansons Brooks runner here in Michigan. I see him all the time on the trails and roads by me. He finished 17th overall, 6th American! 2:13 big PR
I had no doubt that Boston would hook you! My husband called me from the road yesterday ( because he had to work south of Boston) and said he couldn't believe the back up for the Newton exit - and then you had it in the vlog😂
So odd to see you nearly drive by my house in the beginning. I won't tell anyone you missed that right onto Winter Street, when first starting out 😆If you're in the neighborhood again, let me know if you need anything. 2022 and 2023 Boston finisher. 2:47 last year, but this year wasn't as kind 😕
Does anyone know why Seth’s videos no longer show up in my feed? I’ve been subscribed for years, like the videos often, but I have to manually go to his page to find the daily vlog. There was a time when his video was at the top of my feed every morning, but it’s no longer there no matter how far I scroll…
That was fun in the most painful way. Thanks for the support, DGR! The 25.2 mile cheer crew was the best! Now I need to find me a donut...
Yay Jeremy!! Glad we were there to cheer DGR on!!
Great seeing you out there on the course!! Incredible work finishing in those conditions
We’ll done Jeremy!!

So good to see the DGR crew together in person
Nice footage Seth. Big Papi, always a crowd favorite in Boston.
I'm in there somewhere! It was a beautiful day for a race!
Another epic experience out there on the course! My 10th consecutive Boston since 2013!

Go James! What an amazing weekend! Thank you Seth and the DGR family for all the support!

Great on the spot companion piece to the official broadcast = thank you Seth!
See you Boston... hopefully sooner rather than later.

Loved it!! Brutal but brilliant what a race! Great support and seeing u guys at 25 was epic
Congrats to all the runners! The excitement is always inspiring!
Congratulations Boston finishers ! Yep I can tell Seth is hooked.
Awesome 👏. You’re hooked up on Boston. Run it for me next year. I could never quite qualify. Looking forward to seeing you run it! 🎉
Watching this before the BAA comes after you. . . 😢
Since he didn't run they can't threaten him with DQ blackmail like they did Serious Runner ...

Great Vlog!
Finished with a 3:02 and a BQ! The roar of the crowd over the 26.2 is unlike anything else. Best marathon in the world

Awesome video! Really did a great job capturing the excitement of the race. I’ve got to qualify and run that race someday!

Mate that was so entertaining to watch
Seeing those guys pushing the wheel chairs reminded me of the legendary Team Hoyt. Such an inspiring duo all those years
Nice work Seth! Epic Boston Marathon Coverage!
It's nice to watch u Seth 🙂 I'm going to run the Boston Marathon someday. This is my dream 😊 nice Polish accent in the vlog. My favorite waffle 🇵🇱
Qd. Tough year with my running health but i met my goal of requalifying for ‘24.

Great coverage.

Flying a drone while driving 😮
Incredible work as always Seth, great meeting you and some of the other DGR fam at the 25.2 mark! Had a great time cheering everybody on 🙌🏻🙌🏻
awesome
Are we seeing Seth running in Boston 2024?
No Emma Bates pics/video, darn it!
Didn’t run, but man was that a great marathon to watch on TV. ESPN did a better job with the broadcast than I expected.
Baa will probably have this taken down unfortunately
You can't go to Boston without Dunkin
The big papi
