Here's one of many, many Jews who desperately wish we could be at peace - as demonstrated by the thousands of years in which Jews have never once instigated war or violence.
War is just a racket. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the masses. - Major General Smedley Butler
Lack of widespread critical thinking skills. Coupled with the mob mentality of identarian manipulation, clever leaders can move millions to acts of inhuman violence.

I am so so with JP....sometimes he is right but to me he is another over hyped font of dubious wisdom to be taken at face value, issue by issue. Iran and Saudi Arabia of late have actually being moving closer together and while I don't have to like any of their rulers any more than I like the American infants in the room, I do not, like Jordan, convenientlly give them chief bogey man status. The chief bogey man status in this conflict is undoubtedly Israel, or more specifically, Bibi, Likud and the fanatic Jews who continue to steal land and murder innocents in the West Bank - not to mention that it was they who created Hamas in the first place.
Dr. Peterson, I'm a long time viewer and follower of your content. You've inspired and changed many across the whole world. While I appreciate the sentiment expressed inside your article, there's a severe misrepresentation that takes place here. While any rational person must rightly condemn what Hamas did on October 7th, most of the protests that take place aren't an expression of solidarity with Hamas, but a just condemnation of what Israel has done in the occupied West Bank and Gaza. You speak about the Iran backed Hamas and what happens in Israel/ Gaza as a consequence, but how does that explain the year-on-year deaths of dozens, sometimes hundreds, of innocent Palestinians in the West bank? The government there is secular and nationalist in nature. It has recognised Israel since 1993 and it is powerless to do anything about the constantly en-roaching Israeli settlements, which are illegal under international law. They suffer daily indignities and humiliations. Some might even say that it is possible to appreciate how this could potentially radicalise some people. As for Gazans, they do not represent Hamas. 50% of the population is below the age of 18. What Israel does with them is completely disproportionate. And while people from all over the world are asked or expected to condemn the atrocities of Hamas, the same leaders and pundits are relatively silent when it comes any of the litany of wrongs Israel has visited on the Palestinian peoples. This is what people are protesting.
WRONG: this has nothing to do with "occupation" you are spewing the "palestinian" lie. Take the case of Ahmad Manasra at 13 in 2015 stabbed two israeli's. How do you get a 13yr old to commit such atrocities? child abuse and indoctrinate in a false ideology that Israel is changing the status of AlAksa! ie.. not occupation, not oppression, not apartheid or any other lie. The lie is AlAksa.. and the Jewish people, being the indigenous owners of the land of Israel of course had a temple there 1000 years or so before Islam was invented. So your false narrative reflects your ignorance of history.. now go learn! ps.. Hamas entry? called the AlAksa Flood! The 1929 hebron massacre? 20 years before the state of israel? motivation: change of status of AlAksa.. getting the pattern now? This is about a false ideology trying to push western democracies off this planet.
I have seen and heard enough of Mr. Peterson that I knew he was referring Hamas terrorists and NOT Muslims. But people that are looking for division, and attention and gains are being deceitful. As always thanks for such a bird's eye view in the whole situation. I'm still heart broken for all Jews, Palestinian victims of violence. Praying .
A man with the level of intellect as Mr. Peterson should've clearly stated Hamas in his statement and not just, give them he'll. Whose the "them" he was referring too. I truly admire Mr. Peterson and listen to nearly all his podcast. He even interviewed Mohammed hajib twice or more on his channel, but I could see how people misconstrued what he said, because I was one of them. I say peace to all the innocent people and animals on both sides! The Earth itself is being destroyed with all those drone strikes and bullets.
The Palestinians are not victims. They have earned their violent deaths. They deliberately put the people responsible for this attack in power because they hate the Israelis as much as the attackers did. The Palestinians are no different from the Terrorists they support. I have no dog in this fight in terms of religion as an atheist, but that should be obvious to all outside observers.
Harry Nilsson said this. "You see what you want to see, and you hear what you want to hear." It somehow seems relevant, because there are no easy answers in life even when things are going relatively well and smoothly.
Mr. Peterson, could you ask Mr. Netanyahu why he hasn't adhered to UN resolutions, dismantled settlements, or taken meaningful steps toward peace in the past 30 years? We, Palestinians, desire peace, but continuous massacres and lack of genuine efforts hinder progress. We seek understanding and a peaceful coexistence. I also expected you to address the recent massacre at the Ahli Hospital in Gaza perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces We desire peace, but not a peace that displaces 60% of us, incarcerates us, and seizes our sacred sites. We seek a fair and comprehensive peace that addresses all issues simultaneously, rather than one that benefits one side at the expense of the other. The undeniable truth remains: Israel functions as a colonial power. While peaceful assistance and development are welcome, their actions have instead led to humiliation, massacres, destruction of our identity, and the seizure of our sacred places-all justified by unfounded claims to the land. I urge you to be fairer and more open-minded. While we welcome Jews, we reject the imposition of colonial power. Regardless of your arguments, the harsh realities on the ground remain unchanged, sir.
As an Israeli I think the problem is Hamas, I know netanyahu gives them money but still.. we are a democratic country and eventually he will be retired and replaced by someone better. I think as a community you need to somehow kick the terror (Hamas) of Gaza because we Israelis want peace too and the terror makes it impossible for us 😞 What happened on 7.10 deeply traumatized me. I lived under rockets in the middle of Tel Aviv! Also southern Israel has lived under rockets their whole lives and me? I was in a bubble in Tel Aviv I didn't understand how traumatizing it is for the southern Jews in Israel. I hope you understand my point, Peace doesn't come from one side. The world doesn't work like that. If you want peace you should somehow kick out Hamas.❤🇮🇱✌🏻🕊️☮️
@@Gili44 There were terror from both sides long before Israel were founded, what matters is that today it's Israel who have the power to stop this, but they would rather build settlements and occupy more land
This is not a religious matter. This has nothing to do with "Muslim" or "Jew" whether you are pro or not!what is happening is wrong. The people who are being killed are PEOPLE. It's enough to say that we are all PRO-LIFE and pro the right to know that you DESERVE to live!!!!!
It's nice to think like that, but no one cared about "people" when Seria killed 400k people in its land. When it comes to Israel everyone stand on their toes.. People actually stop to think whether Israel is just or not with it's response to a massicure, rape, killing of a prognant women and opening her belly and killing the unborn. Monstrosities that no one could imagin And yet, the world talks about "maybe Hamas is right" It's not about people, it's about the world not getting the idea of jews in their land. 😢
Yes. Well, also, technically "Muslim" is a culture, not a religion afaik, but it gets thrown around as a word and used in so much variety of ways i'm probably just being pedantic. Anyways, i mostly just wanted to give you props for making the simple, to-the-point, statement that brings the focus to a better one; talk (dogma, philosophy etc) is useful/interesting but in the end, actions matter most.
The fact that Muslim and Jew is being thrown in so heavily is making this a antiseptic and Islamophobic phenomenon even though as you said it should not.
Israel overplayed their hand. I was disgusted by the kidnapping and the actions of Hamas. But the response from Israel has been far more barbaric. In the sense that it is a clear eye for an eye meant to teach a lesson to the people in Gaza. As if the retaliation of Hamas was simply reduced to them being lovers of war. As if there was no need to consider the conditions in which Gaza exists. The lack of old Republicans to understand that they would probably fight twice as hard if they were living under such conditions. For far less than that, they kicked the British out. This is a new turning point; not only the new right could not careless about Israel, but the unconditional support Israel dies with the next layer of humans who are in line to complete their cycle of life.
I know this won’t be read but Peterson should read “people of the lie” it’s a great book about this exact thing. Hiding in institutions of power and holiness to hide your evil.
While I appreciate this message, the main problem I see is that the thuggery of Netanyahu goes unmentioned. Netanyahu was aiming to become the supreme leader of Israel prior to this conflict and was in trouble. Now, he is using this conflict to gain back control. Too convenient. 8 days prior to the attack, Egypt warned Israel it was coming. Israel ignored the warnings. Too convenient. On the day of the attack, security forces were absent from the border and no warning went out to Israelis until 9-12 hours after the incursion, leading to a completely unnecessary massacre. Did they get a stand down order? It's starting to look that way. Simultaneously, the Iron Dome underperformed that day. You need to look deeper, as you are buddies with a man that clearly knew this attack was coming, and that allowed it to happen. A man who himself is in part responsible for building up Hamas. Everything points to the Israeli administration having betrayed their people to cement total power, and you're cosying up to them. As somebody who has studied tyranny and evil for so long, that you should fail to at the very least consider this in the hour of need is very hard to tolerate. So please, wake up. You were too slow with Covid, but got there in the end. I know you are under enormous pressure, but please be faster this time, even at the cost of your relationship with Shapiro and Netanyahu.
Thank you for stating the truth and facts 💯 “Anyone who wants to thwart the establishment of a Palest inian state has to support bolstering Hamas and transferring money to Hamas,” he [Neta nyahu] told a meeting of his Likud party’s Knesset members in March 2019. “This is part of our strategy - to isolate the Palestinians in Gaza from the Palestinians in the West Bank.” (Haaretz, October 9, 2023, emphasis added)

With all due respect Dr. Peterson. There seems to be a conflation of parties here with two very vocal portions and one that speaks some level of civility, on one side you have those favoring Israel ignoring the crimes that are openly committing by simply pointing out the atrocities hamas committed and on the other rests a very confused pro hamas group that defends their actions based on some perceived slight. But neither of you seem to be willing to listen to reason and those that ask for simply all civilians be allowed to exit the Gaza Strip so Israel can properly address the terrorists threat that is hamas.

Dr jordan am a huge huge fan. I believe you have touched upon a lot of accurate points. But i also believe you totally missed the core reason of the conflict. Yes iran is orchestrating. But the core fuel of the conflict is gaza the largest open air prison in the world. The core fuel is the israeli settlements that made through years the two state solution impossible. The core issue is the abraham accords is striking peace with all arabs but the palestinians whether it be the plo or any palestinian side. The core issue is israel left no livable options to the palestinians. So, like all such situations in politics a country such as iran utilized the situation. You are perfectly right yet so far away from the full picture. Your noble hope for peace is biasing your critical thinking. And am so sure some day you will see it. The abraham accords unfortunately were doomed to collapse one way or another cause their core foundations is unfair. And their objective isnt peace. Some day i hope you see it. Until then my prayers to you, i love you despite how much i disagree with your political assessment of the situation.
I understand punishing Hamas and those involved in the attack. That said, I condemn the collective punishment of 2.2 million people in Gaza, many of whom had nothing to do with the attack. Gaza is a hopeless prison, it should be no surprise that some people resort to extremism in those conditions. I didn't know what the answer is, but I know it's not killing thousands of civilians and calling it " collateral damage " You'll only push more people to extremism.
Who made it a prison? Israel left in 2005, hoping to be left in peace. It could have been turned into a beautiful flourishing place into which millions of international aid was poured. Israel left its greenhouses to help the people of Gaza. Instead Gaza elected Hamas, who turned it into a bed of terror. Israel had no choice but to protect its border. And explain why is it that it’s border with Egypt is closed? Is that Israel’s fault as well?
All this verbal masturbation for damage control and to hide the fact that you are not allowed to criticize Jews at all for some reason, even when they themselves do the same, or even worse things to enemy civilians. I've noticed this a while ago but chose to ignore it as I have tremendous respect for your work and have been following you for over 7 years now. Why is it so hard to acknowledge that those "special people" commit atrocities as well. and indeed at this very moment, because of their narcissistic belief that God chose them to be the special nation.
Right on. Plus, didn't the jews break their covenant with God and God took their land away and cursed them to be "wanderers of nations"? And Israel isn't supposed to exist until after the 2nd coming of the Messiah. As Revelation Ch2 Vs9 says "they say they are jews but they are the synagogue of satan".

Jordan Peterson is employed by Ben Shapiro's company, The Daily Wire. The Daily Wire is funded by Kape Technologies, whose CEO is Israeli Intelligence Duvdevan Unit veteran Ido Erlichman.
"do not attribute to yourself the virtue of the Divine when acting on your own behalf" is one of the many valuable lessons I learned from Dennis Preger who says the correct wording (and I agree) is "do not TAKE [carry] God's name in vain"
Paul prayed (trevailed) to see Christ formed within his readers... once formed, and given free reign; who can stop the rivers of living water that flows from the divine?
I’m with you on this Peterson. Choosing not to fall prey to easy answers, and moral ascendency which is nothing of the sort. To choose wisdom, because you recognize how little you know. To choose to speak what you believe is true, because you fear the proper things. To not cower for fear of offense. Keep speaking. Keep looking for the highest nexus of good and truth. So that you might discern in the midst of a blinded and deafened wailing chorus. Of unrenewed minds. Of seared conscience. One may take your life, but they cannot take the truth from your heart.
The only ascendant truth that matters is Christ as the crucified and risen Saviour of mankind. If it's true, the line between good and evil runs straight through the human heart than we all need a redeemer, to redeem that which is good, to restore the conscience and bring us into right standing with God. The propensity for evil within us precludes us from being candidates for such a task, but God, who is holy, who created us, can, legally rectify our situation by stepping into human history and his own creation, taking on human flesh so as to do it legally in this realm where he has given us dominion. By using a human vessel to take on the brutality of mankind to overcome it, and conquer death itself to offer us not just a way out, but the ultimate solution, a way through; through Him. "For there is no other name under Heaven and in all the earth, given by men, whereby we might be saved." Put your trust in Jesus and not yourself and He will ensure that when all's said and done the suffering will be over, as you will have eternity with Him, where He is and descended from and returned to: Heaven. May God bless you, in Jesus' holy name, amen. 🙏

They are the light in the darkness, for everyone, at all times. These rants, that I do not find to be as organised as you intend, in my view do not do this. They boil down to poorly structured punditry of a generic sort. I do not think they set the right standard. That's just my view and I mean it with all good will.
100% agree. I respect the standards he held himself to 5 years ago, and I know he's smarter than this. It's like he got fed up with the left and decided to do the one thing he always warned against: To pick a side. I adore his talks on principle and the nature of truth. But how he applies that to current issues is tilted in ways he should be better at detecting and accounting for. Sometimes you don't owe the enemy of your enemy your friendship. Sometimes the whole bloody game is rotten to the core and you should walk away. Speaking for myself and you might be right to disagree with me here, I'm of the opinion that Israel and Hamas are engaged in a bloody game rotten to the core, and Americans need to stop running intellectual/emotional defense for Netanyahu's reputation. The man had all the resources to stop this war begot it happened, and he decided to let it proceed anyway, knowing exactly what would happen to the civilians. I'm not about to run defense for a man who doesn't want to be helped. The civilians on both sides are the ones who need help, that's where my attention will go.
Disagree, this was a very insightful perspective. “The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in times of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality.”
“"Do not spread false rumors, and do not help a guilty person by giving false testimony. Do not follow the majority when they do wrong or when they give testimony that perverts justice. Do not show partiality to a poor person at his trial. "If you happen to see your enemy's cow or donkey running loose, take it back to him. If his donkey has fallen under its load, help him get the donkey to its feet again; don't just walk off. "Do not deny justice to a poor person when he appears in court. Do not make false accusations, and do not put an innocent person to death, for I will condemn anyone who does such an evil thing. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe makes people blind to what is right and ruins the cause of those who are innocent.” (Exo 23:1-8, GNB)
"Why can't we just be pro people and anti wrong?" 1. Because everyone is righteous in their own eyes. Proverbs 21:2-3. 2. Because almost everyone is like the Pharisees, and not like the tax-collector: Luke 18:9-14. 3. Because we see ourselves as clean even when we are immersed in darkness. Proverbs 30:12 Asked to a murderous soldier, who had been propagandized from youth: "How could you have committed such atrocities?" Answer: "Easy. We were doing good and making the world a better place."
Nope, he's just an excessive blowhard, and if he was what I'm sure you're implying then there's no reason to believe he wouldn't be forthright about it.

Your presentation here says that you are looking at this issue through the prism of your preferences. This serves to alienate good people. Anyone who wants to come over as a fair contributor to the debate has to look at the issue in its broader context and must have a deeper and clearer understanding of the problems. Any psychological analysis must take into account the entire gamut of psychosocial factors, a failure to place things in their proper context will undoubtedly necessitate unpleasant reactions such as the ones you receive. I believe that you have to properly familiarise yourself with this contentious problem lest it backfires.
I'm a big fan of so much of Peterson, especially the vintage stuff. Reading him changed me for the better and have so much appreciation in general for him and his work. I can't help but feel the bitterness, sarcasm and mockery in the delivery of what is actually probably useful information here, is only going to serve to polarise and entrench more. There's every justification for him to be embittered after everything he's been through, and he absolutely has the right to it. I guess I don't see people rolling over and acquiescing with their ideas in the face of lectures like these, when what they really probably want is some kind of acknowledgement that their pain matters, ala Chris Voss/Marshall Rosenberg/Carl Rogers work style work. We have to live together (as he's talked about with marriage and the divided US) and I don't see us shaming and ridiculing each other to that end. Too much pain on every side, we actually do need some softer edges to hold that so one side doesn't obliterate the other and we all end up going to hell. I hope he can help us further to that end as he's done for so many already.
Can you not see the hope of unity with pure evil was I’ll advised to begin with and is now ludicrous? As Rush said for years, you cannot compromise with this madness, you have to DEFEAT IT! And many years before his time, a wise man (and I do not remember who, so you can google it if interested ) “You cannot compromise with evil because evil will not compromise with you. Evil is out to take it all!” Evil abounds not only in foreign lands, but right here in the once great USA.
I think he's angry at the carnage. At least that's what seems to come across. I agree though with your comment that perhaps softer medicine is needed right now. Many ordinary Palestinians are in practical and existential pain, want and absolutely abject desolation. Everyone needs to separate those poor souls from the extremist thugs Peterson is so rightly angry with. I remember many years ago I went to a roundtable discussion with young people in their 20s who were members of the Basque separatist violent political arm of that party known as ETA. These young people genuinely believed in their cause and that violence was justified. I was shocked to discover that they saw no dichotomy in going to Mass on Sunday and then killing people in a car bombing later the same day. The same is probably true for some Palestinians who see Hamas as their people's voice. While understanding and empathizing with their pain, as gently as I can, I join my voice with those who remind us all that violence begets violence and brings out the worst in humankind. Terrorism has no place on this planet we must share together, no matter which group or organization engages in it. I ask all Muslims to imitate Allah, the all-merciful one. I, for my part, as a Christian imitating Christ's love for all as much as I am able, pledge to advocate for and to stand for peace wherever I may have influence and in whatever situation I may find myself. I stand in solidarity with my Muslim brothers and sisters as fellow people of the Book.
Pretentious to paraphrase Jordon but some of what I got was: religion needs to take a step back mullahs and rabbis need to be more humble(stop playing god) and the internet is bad. also Iran is a bad faith player in this global game.
I think one pertinent question is whether the reports are true of Netanyahu admitting his strategy was to support Hamas in order to prevent Palestinian unity. If they are, I think there would be something to say of Machiavelli and thuggery.
I generally agree with the premise of the message, especially as an Iranian-Canadian, but zero criticism of Israel? What does that imply? That Israel is completely beyond reproach here?
When one group does such animalistic behavior as that shown by Hamas when they attacked, there is no “both sides” argument to be made. Hamas must be eradicated. Period, end of story. Put as much effort as possible towards limiting innocent deaths, but Hamas (like any terror group) is filled with cowards that would rather hide behind civilians than face anyone in combat like actual men.
@@antibull4869I wonder how the victims of the first Holocaust and their supporters, can support and justify another Holocaust being perpetrated on the Palestinian people, crying ‘Hamas’, ‘Hamas’
I love JP, always have, I have immense respect for him. The issue starts, when a Psychologist feels he has a good grasp of the Theology of another religion. He needs to read the Quran to understand the underlying ideology of Islam. The doctrines of Islam, what the religion encourages them to do. Dr.Peterson thinks Islam is like Christianity, "Love your enemy" .How wrong can he be?
hello michael. i am pretty sure peterson confirmed that islam is shady after talking to the boastful mohammaed hijab two times. besides peterson has made it clear he is not interested in religious doctrine but the inner meaning of religious stories.
You have an American view os Islam. They too are called to love their enemies and banish hate from their hearts. It's only the radical version.....version....version of this religion. Ultimately that is all it is, another works religion full of satanic deception.
@@georgeh8937 religious stories? well I have news for him, religion is not the fairy tale he is looking for. if he wants story, he should read 1001 Arabian nights. Now, that is a story.
As a Muslim, Dr. Peterson I must say that listening to you always gives me relief in knowing that not everyone sees us as radical monsters - but that we too want peace. Hamas and the Mullahs are muslims only in name. The people of the book have much more in common than not, and I pray that one day we will find the unity and peace we're looking for.
You need to do something about the radical monsters though and only from within can they be fought, from a survivor of islam propagated genocide to you with love.
I suggest you read Acts of the Apostles . This scripture provides an exposition on free speech, and an indication that evil self interest always attempts to silence the truth from being spoken.
Your description of the pathology of the cluster B disorders is spot on! I too came to the same conclusion about the woke but I never made the connection to Marxism and religious extremism.
I'm confused as to how you didn't draw those connections. The woke act in very extremists ways by default, and their connection to Marxism is almost direct, with about 30% of their talking points being Marxian (meaning, Communist). Maybe you just saw the woke in isolation, is why?
@@SwitchTalkChannel Disenfranchised and hopeless people typically turn to radical ideologies to feel a sense of belongings; many times no matter the cost to current society.
@@SwitchTalkChannelI don’t think so, for that you don’t really need marxism to hate the abrahamic religions, there are plenty reasons that’s self-evident. So yeah, it deserves to be hated, narcissism at its very extreme.
No matter how controversial any of Jordan's statements may seem, there's always truth and good meaning behind the initial statement. When he decides to explain the reason behind his statements, it always shows that he's aligned with the truth and the good.

I'm really sorry to say that but you completely missed the point. You are almost repeating what the main stream media is saying about the situation. The reality is that Israel has been occupying, killing, humiliating, discriminating, torturing, prisoning palestinian men, women and children for decades treating them like animals. No body aided them but left them to suffer. Some Palestinians lost hope and made a reaction and rsisted the brutal Isreali occupation. Yes their deed was brutal and included crimes which are condemned. But it was a reaction to a long history of slavery caused by the israeli. Any one who addresses what happened on the 7th of October without giving the context and the prehistory is missing the point. Ukrain is allowed to resist the russian occupation and supported with money, weapons and media coverage. On the other hand the palestinians are condemned if they resist the Israeli occupation. Imagin a woman being brutally raped by a strong, wealthy man every single day for years while neighbours and police pretend not see and never react even when the raper killed the children of that woman. At one point the woman tries to resist and fights back and plocks the eye of the raper. Then all the neighbours, police and the wprld starts condemning the raped woman for her deed and support the criminal man.
It amazes me how we live in an era so devoid of morality and ethics, where saying that you’re against violence and in the side of peace and the innocents that are victim of such atrocities, no particular side, will gain you nothing but being accused of wanting the murder of the Palestinian people.
He literally wrote "Give them hell" to his friend Netanyahu. The latter said Israel is an ethnonation only for Jews and wants to ethnic cleanse every non Jew and never allow anything resembling a Palestinian establishment. Bibi encouraged all Israeli parties to fund Hamas for that reason 3years ago

Although I do blame the American warmongering left, and their government. Not only is Ukraine their fault for their unwillingness to negotiate, but the tensions im the middle eastern zone are high once again because he refused to keep working on what Trump achieved with the Abraham accords, and his utter failure in the Afghanistan departure besides leaving a bunch of expensive arsenal to be distributed, showed the geopolitical and military incompetency of his government and Biden’s current leadership.

Wow, I never thought I would experience those college classes, in which you want to get an understanding of something but the only thing you are left with at the end, is more confusion. You see, big words and psychological analysis of a situation serve only as a red herring when the situation is quite simple to understand. Moreover, one tends to over-explain and overcomplicate the matter when one is given a narrative and is told to stick to it no matter what. This also happens when one goes against one’s own values and beliefs. In order to make the response less shameful and avoid more damage to the self, ego, and reputation, one gives an overly complex and highly irrelevant response in the hopes, that the audience will be overwhelmed by the complexity and fail to notice the irrelevance of the response. This is a great technique, because one gets to, later on, “clarify” and “rectify” the complexly vague response. The truth is always apparent and bright. Similar to the Sun. One can never cover or cloud the truth for too long. Similarly, the clouds can never cover the Sun for too long. Unlike, when the Sun is covered with black clouds, there’s benefit, however, when one attempts to cover the truth with black clouds, there’s only destruction.
@@wildboar122 his response is nothing but irrelevant. He mentions only the resistance shown on October 7th, in which innocent people have been killed which is unacceptable. (Palestinians have been suffering this everyday for 70+ years) Nothing at all about the ongoing indiscriminate and brutal Israeli air strikes that have killed at least 1500 children. He was quick to tweet “Give ‘em hell” on October 7th, but somehow he is slower than a slug for condemning the killing of children, women and elderly. And he won’t condemn it. To be honest, his condemnation is not needed anyway. These kinds of people come and go but the truth remains.
If you actually sat through all 20 minutes of this video and truly believe it was "big words and psychological analysis" serving as a "red herring", I am truly sorry for you. That is outright unbelievable and saddening to read. Best of luck with your future learning.

I have deep admiration for Dr. Peterson ability to explain very complex issues that affect the individuals in our western society, however his interpretation of the geopolitical clashes around the globe is inadequate. I’m hopeful that won’t be too long before Dr. Peterson comes to terms with the emergence of a Tri-polar world as China and Russia grow to more parity with the United States.

(To cut it short on the parrots - We condemn Hammas in what they did on Oct the 7th, got it? now I can speak). As a half European half Arab Muslim, despite all I've learned from Dr. Peterson; I find this video offensive in many different ways. 1. Addressing Muslims as a bunch of poor astray children that are simply crying out there unable to recognize political alliances from true friends. 2. Dismissing everything relevant to the facts related to the Arab/Israeli conflict in its entirety and the factual systematic ethnic cleansing driven by Israel with the support of its allies in the west. 3. I believe its as factual as the sunlight - what Israel is currently doing exceeds many of the Nazi crimes, to have an open concentration camp live before the entire world's eyes systematically carpet bombing 2 million people whom half of them are children, this is is not a war, it is an oppressive ethnic cleansing no matter what the justification is. 4. To claim and dictate to us what Allah wants from us; that is one hell of a statement to make - yes, you have read, meeting few online influencers - I am sad to inform you that after almost watching all you had to say in public about Islam and Arabs no matter how genuine you were - you are far from understanding the core values and the teachings of Islam. 5. You obviously realized the magnitude of the online response to your statement earlier and If this video was an attempt to manage the crisis, it is another offense, I've watched it till the end - I am truly disappointed. In the end, we have a say in the Arab world, everyman can be quoted/taken from and argued against, no matter the side you choose, you are to be credited in certain fields where you are an expert without a doubt and there is a lot to learn from you - but it is sad, truly sad to learn that you were not true to yourself and to the public in being a seeker of the truth and to learn about the dual standards that became very evident.
Well done bro. Excellent answer. Personally for me...Jordan Peterson is a real disappointment, especially after that terrible tweet of his about the Palestinians.
As a human being, what must not be lost is conscience and common sense. because there are so many smart people who don't have a conscience and common sense that can destroy a civilization. It's quite sad to see people who are and have great influence using their strengths but not using their conscience and common sense. can't see the good and the bad, can't see what is appropriate or inappropriate to do.
yeah, too bad Jordan Peterson can't see the good in those Hamas videos of them in Israel recently, having fun at the festival etc. And that he can't see the bad in Israelis trying to rid the world of these peace loving humans, without understanding that this is simply a middle-eastern tactic of negotiation. I am very disappointed in JP.

I can't say agree with you with my mom coming from Lebanon. I/my ancestors has seen what Islam has done to middle-east Christians and jews since its inception. Their God has a standing order to destroy non-believers and their quran/hadiths on jews is disturbing though it makes you understand why some do what they do and others celebrate their evil acts as uncomfortable as that may be to observe.
I agree. islam is a tyranny. Is-Lame is the reason for all the Terrorism. Surah 9:29 Fight those People of the Book who do not believe in Allah, nor in the Last Day, and do not take as unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have declared as unlawful, and do not profess the Faith of Truth; (fight them) until they pay jizyah with their own hands while they are subdued.
It's important to clarify that religions themselves are not inherently at fault, but rather it's a minority of individuals who exploit religion as a cover to achieve their selfish goals, often at the expense of people's well-being. Additionally, even ideologies like communism, which are typically anti-religion, can develop their own form of "belief system" to exert control over people. Therefore, it's crucial to distinguish between genuine religious beliefs and the actions of a malevolent minority.
The religion is entirely at fault. What do you think the goal of Islam is? Look at the Saudi flag for instance. Why do you think they underlined the passage of all and muhamad with a sword? Don't be stupid.
There are a few issues I take with this video: 1. Bringing in the rationality of the LGBTQ community in the light of this war, is a distracting side-show that has no bearing on the military conflict whatsoever. 2. Does anti-thug mean being anti state-bombing of an occupied civilian population? I did not hear anything being adressed in relation to the actions of israel (which are still ongoing).

The chief bogey man status in this conflict is undoubtedly Israel, or more specifically, Bibi, Likud and the fanatic Jews who continue to steal land and murder innocents in the West Bank - not to mention that it was they who created Hamas in the first place.
@@macnicolson5452 ---I would much rather have america as a ruler than Saudi arabia or Iran; I cannot imagine anyone thinking otherwise.
Who hold world leaders accountable? Then let me ask who holds that group or person accountable?

Praying .
How do we separate the "Palestinians" that elected a savage Muslim terrorist govt?
A man with the level of intellect as Mr. Peterson should've clearly stated Hamas in his statement and not just, give them he'll. Whose the "them" he was referring too. I truly admire Mr. Peterson and listen to nearly all his podcast. He even interviewed Mohammed hajib twice or more on his channel, but I could see how people misconstrued what he said, because I was one of them.

I also expected you to address the recent massacre at the Ahli Hospital in Gaza perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces
We desire peace, but not a peace that displaces 60% of us, incarcerates us, and seizes our sacred sites.

Exactly many in the West fail to realize MeNA has always beeb multi faith this is about occupation and this video is so off
Israel overplayed their hand.

"Give 'em hell" - can you please explain how that was "choosing wisdom" and not an "easy answer" Jordan posted on twitter when this all kicked off?

This is delusional. Peterson provided a much needed psychoanalytic perspective on this timeless situation.
@@LUNAofCAIRO Feel free to disagree with the criticism, but that doesn't make it delusion.

I feel sad for myself and you Jordan .You have to stop nosing into political matters and stick to what you are helpful with. I learned about you in early 2021 and used to walk everyday listing to lectures and motivational videos about what you teach and how to be a better human, father , husband or son for hours but for the last year or so you are all about politics and debates and recently asking for the killing of people in a conflict that now is escalating very badly. I hope your family helps you out of this dark tunnel you have decided to walk yourself thru.
He has not and would not ask for any killing if you pay attention. Listen carefully
Dr. Peterson.
Look here, man! I love you, I really do, but on the Palestinian/Israeli problem I do not think our understanding and thoughts aligns vis a vis the occupation and decimation of Palestinians .

This is well said
very sensible comment
I think one pertinent question is whether the reports are true of Netanyahu admitting his strategy was to support Hamas in order to prevent Palestinian unity. If they are, I think there would be something to say of Machiavelli and thuggery.
Just a little googling will provide you with evidence, including government officials admitting what they did. It's not only Netanyahu, it goes back.

His message was clear as day. Can't say the same for yours even though I read it in 20 seconds.
Does anybody remember Shakespeare's Macbeth:'it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound & fury, signifying nothing'
The truth is both sides are forces for evil. Which one is more reprehensible is up for debate.

There are a few issues I take with this video:
A wise man once said that If more people assumed they could learn from "truly listening" to others, they might actually learn something they didnt know.
Ironic since Jordan won't listen to the Palestinians in concentration camps.
I think I might know who that wise person was
What concentration camp? Show proof
@@Rick-bi9fw Peterson is a man who becomes quite emotional when he's listened to the distressing journey's of the human experience. To place him in a sentence as though he is condoning suffering of innocence in "concentration camps" has demonstrated clearly your incapacity to "truly listen".
@@pauliewalsh6875he invited Netanyahu to his podcast and have dinners, many have adviced in comments, don't go down the route, he did not listen. Calling people who disagrees with him and I quote on his X account murderous anti Semitic rats is hardly listening. He had many many discourses and I listened to it all but I felt when it comes to with Muslims it's always gaslighting because he turn around the next week and stab them in the back pretending they didn't have a cordial discussion explaining all his queries or criticisms. It's because I've been following closely to his content that I know he doesn't listen.
“The Accords, mediated by the Trump administration, were hailed as a major breakthrough in Middle East diplomacy.
However, the agreements have been met with widespread opposition from Palestinians, who believe they fail to address the root causes of the conflict.
When asked about the impact of the Accords, 52 percent of those surveyed said that the agreement had made Israel more aggressive towards the Palestinians, while 43 percent said they had seen no impact or change, and only 6 percent said they believed the agreement had made the situation better.
The results of the poll highlight a deep mistrust of Palestinians towards a possible peaceful resolution of the conflict, as they show that the Abraham Accords failed to produce tangible improvements for Palestinians.”
Dr peterson, how can you see the abraham accords as a true peaceful solution while it completely ignores the palestenians and the two state solution in any form? How can you see this as a true diagnosis? You taught us to think and criticise. To tackle root causes. Hamas attacking not limiting their prison break to military targets made a grave grave mistake yes enticed by iran you are right. But how about the root cause doctor? Just a few days ago he said quote “give ‘em hell” now that seems very ethical, to call for ethnic cleansing.

Thanks for pulling so many threads together in an excellent overview of this shocking situation. I always appreciate what you have to say ❤
The problem is that the world is not run by people like Jordan but by Rothschild who use violence and deceit. The division of labor in the world is forced by force, not by industry. China is effectively breaking the dollar, soon more Arab countries were to join BRICS and America and Israel do not want to lose influence in the Middle East. There will be a bloody union with many countries, a greater conflict than in Ukraine. That's why America immediately sent aircraft carriers there as if for a war, they are waiting for a signal, probably a false flag.

how isn't every description you gave for the "thugs" doesn't apply to Israel more, historically and now?
If you decide to turn a blind eye to the thugs who started all of this and are maintaining it, don't judge the other side.
Because historically speaking they are the thugs and Israel has only been defending themselves
Is it just me or does any1 else notice how everything he says from 7:49 to 8:43 seems to describe Israel's government extremely well 🤔 Bassem Youssef just made this exact same point the other day on Piers Morgans show and suddenly a psychologist breaks the whole thing down and now it's hard to not see all of the "dark tetrad" qualities of the Israeli govt and Military 🤣
I miss the old Jordan Peterson videos. The lectures and introspections. You changed the way I perceive and analyse the world around me
They still exist.
Have you listed to his recent Exodus series? You sound like the kind of person who would appreciate them.
As an Iranian in Canada, I approve of this message!
As a Pole i wish the best for Iran and its ppl. I hope we can one day be united. My great grandfather escaped to Iran during ww2 when Poland was over run by the Nazis and Soviets. 75,000 polish soldiers and 40,000 polish civilians managed to make it to Iran. Most were shipped in from the USSR, some basically made it their on foot. Even though Iran supplied hitler with oil early on, the Iranian government and its ppl took in over 100,000 poles into their homes and government buildings sharing what little food and supplies they had. My great grand father escaped occupied Poland and with the help of polish units already in iran he received support and walked and hitch hiked from europe all the way to Iran with his army unit. They joined the allies and fought in the Italian campaigns. He was part of the units that liberated the Monastery at Monte Cassino and later attacked the Hitler line which led to the Anzio breakthrough opening the road to Rome. this led to the Italians surrendering, Killing Benito Mussolini and joining the Allied armies. lol rant over. i just like ww2 and the many achievements of my family in those days . Fun fact, The biggest refugee cemetary in iran is Polish. its is to this day taken care of and maintained by the ppl of Iran. I have a picture of my great grandfather giving a iranian child a chocolate bar, hes never eaten chocolate in his life before this. He looked like he discovered the meaning of life after eating the chocolate, I have one picture of my great grandfather of him together with the Iranian family who took him into their home when he first made it to Iran, I wish i could somehow track down their living relatives but all I have is a picture, no names, no city..... the only hope would be for someone to recognize the background and somehow find out the general area of where the pic was taken. maybe one day........

So I was listening to Jordan Petersons exodus. It has been absolutely incredible couldn’t recommend it enough. However there was a passage they awkwardly skipped over that I wish they addressed.
Exodus 15:14: "The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina."

Although at some basic level the 3 religious sects do have something common. Maybe everyone should consider that. However I don’t see it ever happening because concessions would have to be made.
