I've yet to hear Dr Peterson speaking live, so it's good to have this chance to see one of his lectures from the "We Who Wrestle With God" tour. Dr Peterson seems to have remained humble and grounded even after eight years of intense living in the spotlight. There's nothing fake about him. He's a gift to humanity, a shining light in a dark world, and long may it continue. I hope Dr Peterson is enjoying a well-earned rest over Christmas.
If you have the means, buy a somewhat front row ticket. I didn't and spent the whole conference looking at him through the screens of the theater instead of the actual person. It didn't feel any different (it was actually worse) than watching him on RUclips.

@@kyranadrian on the contrary. He makes up sense to sound profound. The vast majority of his talks are truistic and if your mother told you the same thing in a simple language you would dismiss her. He has some good unconventional points but they are rarely the focus. The left bashes him for the insane takes and pretends there is nothing else in him while the right glorifies him for making simple things sound complex because mystery is a good excuse for absurdity. JP is worth listening to mainly to improve your capacity to articulate concepts and not for most of his ideas in particular.
I became an educator from listening to Dr. Peterson in 2018. Now, I don't fail to learn frok his lectures. I love him and his philosophy and I love him more for his Spirituality. Life and death experience can improve a life of a great man like him. Bless his life. God bless us all. Merry Christmas.

It's amazing to see Jordan Peterson make so many people of younger generations familiar with God and the Bible, in an era when many people were raised not familiar with the Bible and Christianity and because of his efforts are thinking about it

I don't know why but when i listen to him it's like the way he talks is like music and is captivating and just pulls you in. He's so fun to listen to. Like soothing and mentally stimulating. Like a meditation. I've always thought this about the way he talks
Peterson's content can be summarized in two pages. Then it's saying the same thing hundred times in different ways. I need suggestions on people who can speak like him but talk about different topics.

It’s truly amazing how much we can reflect on the idea of wrestling with God, especially during the holiday season. The idea that we are created in His image brings both comfort and challenge. How do you personally navigate this balance between embracing the divine within us and facing the struggles that shape our growth? Does this Christmas gift offer a deeper insight into that relationship for you?
We wrestle with God when we see our own precious child suffer from a painful illness, as JP’s daughter did. The daughter is thriving now, but the question remains - who is this God that we are dealing with, who is such a magnificent Designer of an intricately functioning world, yet He chooses a story in which children suffer? Who are you, Lord? And His answers, we cannot grasp. But we know His Son’s compassion and love, and we know how God’s precious child suffered and died. We respond. We struggle. And for my part, I worship God in gratitude and awe.
God didn't make the world of suffering, fate doesn't ræp children, destiny didn't butchered all those victims. We do, corruptible humans create Hell on Earth, and a fallen creation is what produces genetic degradation.
Satan accused God of not giving a promotion to him and selfishly holding on to power and knowledge. Satan also claimed that we are expected to be humble and sacrifice for others but God Himself does not sacrifice. The world waited century after century until the promise of the Lamb of God arrived to settle the question of whether God would dare to sacrifice to show His love for the people He made from the dust of the ground. God humbled Himself by leaving His power and glory in heaven and joined the human race that was made from the dust of the ground-dirt. While Satan was seeking to climb higher to be equal with God, the Word, who was with God and was God became flesh and dwelled with us. The Lamb of God made an infinite and eternal sacrifice dying in our place for us, so that we could be eternally secure from selfishness and sin. Please put down your weapons and stop resisting God’s invitation to learn of Him. He is offering us His power and glory and righteousness. Hallelujah!

I'm 63 years old and I write things. Not that anyone truly cares or is inspired to request my thoughts on a matter, but it is like the words that are going through me are a living force begging to be released. I HAVE to let them out. This world is fickle and there is no assurance of another, only an ancient prophesy or promise. You might as well believe the promise or be forever condemned to await big nothing. I had chemotherapy for cancer (in remission now) and lost my hair, eyebrows and eyelashes. I didn't recognize myself in the mirror. I stared at myself and asked "Who am I?" and I realized that I am not this body. I am not this personality that I have constructed. I realized I am fundamentally a wish, an intention, a choice in any moment of time. So yes, I believe I am a Christian.

Years ago I used to plan and think and organize my life on paper, and it was so effective, I was amazed by the outcome every time. Im so grateful that god has opened the door for us to understand his word. As i mature, i realize that everything god has revealed to us, is everything im suppose to be. Patient, loving, waging war on sin (just a few for example). The best sermon I've heard that wasn't given by one of my pastors. With no Bible present he uses all of the Biblical First Principles to describe what being in the image of God looks like and why being righteous works and selfish does not. For everyone. Thanks again, Professor, Dr Peterson.

I have just finished the Daily Wire exclusive Q and A and it was very sweet. To quote Jonathan, “You always take us on such a ride, Jordan!” I enjoyed Jonathan’s reflections and connected them in my thoughts with Romans 14, about eating and drinking for the glory of God and giving God thanks, and thus placing the meat and drink in its proper place. I appreciated Tammy’s reflections on finding her own identity as a mother, as that echoed my own experience. I have been thinking what a sacred and holy thing it is to be a mother at Christmastime. I found it adorable that Dr. Peterson rather formally shook hands with his wife instead of giving her a proper husbandly kiss, as he did when I saw them in Boston. I don’t agree with him about the treatment of a certain class of people by the conservative Christian’s but that is only because I know that community very well and may perhaps be in possession of knowledge that Dr. Peterson isn’t. In the end, though, delightful as it was, it made me miss those three dear ones so keenly. I was privileged to see them speak together in Boston and greet them after, and there is no substitute for face to face. None. And I miss them so much and can’t wait to see them again. At 16:18 you hear some of why Dr Peterson is a teacher on the level of Plato and Aristotle. So much of what he says is original with him in the way he expresses it, even though the basic information he's using is ancient. What a gift to us. RUclips allows us to take his classes for free. He has his body of essential books for a full Western education on his website, which he edits periodically.
After having 2 near death experiences , I can only tell you I am now a firm believer in the ascension of your soul upon leaving. Even though you may have done some bad things in your life , and depending on the level, if your soul has always been in the right place you will ascend . And if your soul is not nor ever has been in the right place , you do not ascend and that would be hell . A higher consciousness filtering out the destructive souls . As for " God " I think it's beyond arrogance to even think humanity can ever understand .

Abt what he said regarding grading students' essays, i had a similar experience i'd like to rant about. I had a presentation in my civics class about democracy in my first year.. and my group's schedule kept getting postponed because our professor got sick at the most comical timing, so i basically had months to cook up and polish and add to my part of the presentation, and i like to think i did a really good job of it. To tell you the gist of it, i basically just linked the concept of democracy and republic as two sides of the same coin of a solution trying to solve the disparities of the natural pareto distribution, and i even sprinkled some personality and psychometric theory in there to add some richer context as well as a little excerpt from Gulag Archipelago forward critiquing communism (which my professor joked about favouring for). At bottom, it was really just jordan peterson's ideas mish-mashed and distilled a bit, but i was really proud of what i'd made and excited to present it because i figured these were my genuine thoughts and top definitions, and my generation is very apolitical so i thought i'd also be introducing my classmates to politics in a very intuitive and curious way. Cut to D-day, the professor nodded along a bit in agreeable reception as i spoke my part, but then he cut me off like 1/3 of the way and told me, "i think that's enough information already, thank you." I stared in disbelief, I didn't even get to my gulag part. When he said that, my most cynical part immediately thought, "oh, so i guess you don't like actual learning, huh?" Seemed he'd rather spend the remaining 45 minutes on some bogus short task for the class to submit a cliche and lame answer to and fulfill some assignment quota rather than actually learn about the reasons behind these assignments. And my classmates seemed kinda interested and looked up from their phones a bit when listening to my presentation too, but overall they didn't look all that curious or excited about discussing these ideas as i was either. Sorry for the little rant, im just really peeved that this sharing of ideas that i've been preparing for months is just met with shut down and no reception. So i wanted to vent a bit to you all. Although i must admit i'm still very glad to have been given the chance to even presentate and reveal these thoughts and ideas to myself. In fact, i've actually been having this problem all my life. I can't seem to find anybody interested enough in these kinds of ideas and discussions as i am, and certainly no one of high quality character and integrity. I've always tried blaming myself for simply not being dilligent enough to find them, but i think i'm just at a rut and unable to find a solution. Love Jordan. I'm enjoying his latest work & enjoy his exodus & gospel discussions. I find it fascinating when a group of intellectual folk gather to discuss these issues. I would identity 😅 as culturally Christian ✝️ but going beyond that aspect would perceive Christianity as the basis for West & likewise regard the Bible as revealing profound truth. As a Brit I recall Spike Milligan being interviewed & he related his love for Christ & that he regularly attended the Anglican Church. When the interviewer mentioned God Milligan laughed & responded that he didn't believe in God. Jordan always seems very reluctant to engage in such questions regarding the veracity of biblical stories, virgin birth, etc. I understand his point of view although the bible says to believe as little children. All storytellers reveal truth. Whether its literally true or "really happened" is irrelevant.

I think i have not fully understood the last part of his message, probably due to mental fatigue after hearing for an hour of intense concentration. But as always, Dr. Peterson has spoken directly at me, at my hedonistic and refusal to be mature despite at the age of 24. I am going to be drop out of college due to myself wandering off the path and went to pursue a hedonistic, immediate compulsion, that I thought would have terminated my suffering on the situations that I have been. But instead, everything have gone worse. I have to make the decision to sacrifice my hedonistic impulses and my voluntary willingness to dwell in the fog. But I am terrified, to confront the world and to start over. I am not sure if I can do it.

This reminds me of the premise of Jocko's _Discipline Equals Freedom_ book where he talks about how taking personal responsibility is the gateway to controlling the trajectory of your life. Modernity has overemphasized catering to one's self-interested desires so much that duty has become non-existent, especially when people are constantly told that they should simply do what makes them happy.

I think cultures can create their own values because we did when we created our first religions. We continue to create religions, but you could argue the new ones took their values from the old ones.
I'm getting sick of daily wire. I can't afford their high prices, but Jordan Peterson is inspirational not just to me but millions more. How are we going to heal the insanity of the world if we have to pay ludicrous amounts to enjoy whole lectures? I understand needing to make money but why not actually put out dailywire content like Pendragon and snow white? Bet theyd make money then.
We can easily heal the insainty of this world. It's already happening. It all starts inside out when we settle and meditate. We can learn a lot about the world simply by observing the others and the world around us. The schools won't teach us that much, I think.

You know, dearest Dr. Peterson, I had a flash of insight as I was listening. I think that in this time of Biblical illiteracy, even amongst Christians, you are called to speak on the Old Testament in order to fight the heresy of Marcionism, which seems to have reared its ugly head afresh in Christendom of late. And your work on the Old Testament is engaging people with those stories again. I am steeped in those stories and I’m gently introducing them to my children. But not everyone was as privileged as I was. And then I thought, you were saying, dearest Dr. Peterson, in your latest Spectator conversation, that you are “a new kind of Christian” or “not a typical Christian” and while I know you were put on the spot with that question, I don’t think that is right. You aren’t the first Christian, and by “Christian” I mean one who, as you do, puts Christ in the highest place, who wants to understand. You aren’t the first Christian seeker. You are one of many throughout history and perhaps you might find striking similarities between your own journey, and that of C. S. Lewis. That was written with all the love in my heart. I like to listen to Dr Peterson's speaking, it helps me in many ways. But use China as a metaphor is improper as now many people already hate Chinese due to political reasons. And in the end, it is the individual suffers those unfair treatment. And yes, I'm Chinese.

I've yet to hear Dr Peterson speaking live, so it's good to have this chance to see one of his lectures from the "We Who Wrestle With God" tour. Dr Peterson seems to have remained humble and grounded even after eight years of intense living in the spotlight. There's nothing fake about him. He's a gift to humanity, a shining light in a dark world, and long may it continue. I hope Dr Peterson is enjoying a well-earned rest over Christmas.

@@kyranadrian on the contrary. He makes up sense to sound profound. The vast majority of his talks are truistic and if your mother told you the same thing in a simple language you would dismiss her. He has some good unconventional points but they are rarely the focus. The left bashes him for the insane takes and pretends there is nothing else in him while the right glorifies him for making simple things sound complex because mystery is a good excuse for absurdity. JP is worth listening to mainly to improve your capacity to articulate concepts and not for most of his ideas in particular.
I became an educator from listening to Dr. Peterson in 2018. Now, I don't fail to learn frok his lectures. I love him and his philosophy and I love him more for his Spirituality. Life and death experience can improve a life of a great man like him. Bless his life. God bless us all. Merry Christmas.

It’s truly amazing how much we can reflect on the idea of wrestling with God, especially during the holiday season. The idea that we are created in His image brings both comfort and challenge. How do you personally navigate this balance between embracing the divine within us and facing the struggles that shape our growth? We wrestle with God when we see our own precious child suffer from a painful illness, as JP’s daughter did. The daughter is thriving now, but the question remains - who is this God that we are dealing with, who is such a magnificent Designer of an intricately functioning world, yet He chooses a story in which children suffer? Who are you, Lord? And His answers, we cannot grasp. But we know His Son’s compassion and love, and we know how God’s precious child suffered and died. We respond. We struggle. And for my part, I worship God in gratitude and awe.

I'm 63 years old and I write things. Not that anyone truly cares or is inspired to request my thoughts on a matter, but it is like the words that are going through me are a living force begging to be released. I HAVE to let them out. I send them out to various people, the few in my inner circle that tolerate them, with little feedback and to a particular entity that sparked something that needed to be responded to. They go out, but there is almost never a response.
I've come to the conclusion that I must be invisible.

I had chemotherapy for cancer (in remission now) and lost my hair, eyebrows and eyelashes. I didn't recognize myself in the mirror. I stared at myself and asked "Who am I?" and I realized that I am not this body. I am not this personality that I have constructed. I realized I am fundamentally a wish, an intention, a choice in any moment of time. So yes, I believe I am a Christian.

The best sermon I've heard that wasn't given by one of my pastors. With no Bible present he uses all of the Biblical First Principles to describe what being in the image of God looks like and why being righteous works and selfish does not. For everyone. Thanks again, Professor, Dr Peterson.

I have just finished the Daily Wire exclusive Q and A and it was very sweet. To quote Jonathan, “You always take us on such a ride, Jordan!”
I enjoyed Jonathan’s reflections and connected them in my thoughts with Romans 14, about eating and drinking for the glory of God and giving God thanks, and thus placing the meat and drink in its proper place.
I appreciated Tammy’s reflections on finding her own identity as a mother, as that echoed my own experience. I have been thinking what a sacred and holy thing it is to be a mother at Christmastime.
I found it adorable that Dr. Peterson rather formally shook hands with his wife instead of giving her a proper husbandly kiss, as he did when I saw them in Boston.
I don’t agree with him about the treatment of a certain class of people by the conservative Christian’s but that is only because I know that community very well and may perhaps be in possession of knowledge that Dr. Peterson isn’t.
In the end, though, delightful as it was, it made me miss those three dear ones so keenly. I was privileged to see them speak together in Boston and greet them after, and there is no substitute for face to face. None. And I miss them so much and can’t wait to see them again.

At 16:18 you hear some of why Dr Peterson is a teacher on the level of Plato and Aristotle. So much of what he says is original with him in the way he expresses it, even though the basic information he's using is ancient. What a gift to us. RUclips allows us to take his classes for free. He has his body of essential books for a full Western education on his website, which he edits periodically.
After having 2 near death experiences , I can only tell you I am now a firm believer in the ascension of your soul upon leaving. Even though you may have done some bad things in your life , and depending on the level, if your soul has always been in the right place you will ascend . And if your soul is not nor ever has been in the right place , you do not ascend and that would be hell . A higher consciousness filtering out the destructive souls . Abt what he said regarding grading students' essays, i had a similar experience i'd like to rant about.
I had a presentation in my civics class about democracy in my first year.. and my group's schedule kept getting postponed because our professor got sick at the most comical timing, so i basically had months to cook up and polish and add to my part of the presentation, and i like to think i did a really good job of it.
To tell you the gist of it, i basically just linked the concept of democracy and republic as two sides of the same coin of a solution trying to solve the disparities of the natural pareto distribution, and i even sprinkled some personality and psychometric theory in there to add some richer context as well as a little excerpt from Gulag Archipelago forward critiquing communism (which my professor joked about favouring for). At bottom, it was really just jordan peterson's ideas mish-mashed and distilled a bit, but i was really proud of what i'd made and excited to present it because i figured these were my genuine thoughts and top definitions, and my generation is very apolitical so i thought i'd also be introducing my classmates to politics in a very intuitive and curious way.
Cut to D-day, the professor nodded along a bit in agreeable reception as i spoke my part, but then he cut me off like 1/3 of the way and told me, "i think that's enough information already, thank you." I stared in disbelief, I didn't even get to my gulag part. When he said that, my most cynical part immediately thought, "oh, so i guess you don't like actual learning, huh?" Seemed he'd rather spend the remaining 45 minutes on some bogus short task for the class to submit a cliche and lame answer to and fulfill some assignment quota rather than actually learn about the reasons behind these assignments. And my classmates seemed kinda interested and looked up from their phones a bit when listening to my presentation too, but overall they didn't look all that curious or excited about discussing these ideas as i was either.
Sorry for the little rant, im just really peeved that this sharing of ideas that i've been preparing for months is just met with shut down and no reception. So i wanted to vent a bit to you all. Although i must admit i'm still very glad to have been given the chance to even presentate and reveal these thoughts and ideas to myself.
In fact, i've actually been having this problem all my life. I can't seem to find anybody interested enough in these kinds of ideas and discussions as i am, and certainly no one of high quality character and integrity. I've always tried blaming myself for simply not being dilligent enough to find them, but i think i'm just at a rut and unable to find a solution. It's the one biggest pet peeve i have against my local community and even my whole country.

Love Jordan. I'm enjoying his latest work & enjoy his exodus & gospel discussions. I find it fascinating when a group of intellectual folk gather to discuss these issues. I would identity 😅 as culturally Christian ✝️ but going beyond that aspect would perceive Christianity as the basis for West & likewise regard the Bible as revealing profound truth. As a Brit I recall Spike Milligan being interviewed & he related his love for Christ & that he regularly attended the Anglican Church. When the interviewer mentioned God Milligan laughed & responded that he didn't believe in God. Jordan always seems very reluctant to engage in such questions regarding the veracity of biblical stories, virgin birth, etc. I understand his point of view although the bible says to believe as little children. All storytellers reveal truth. Whether its literally true or "really happened" is irrelevant.
I love you DR. Peterson. I may never meet you in this life because of your popularity but I look forward to meeting you one day. Your words have uplifting me and many others. God bless you 😇🙏❤️ May Jesus have all the Gorly always!

I think i have not fully understood the last part of his message, probably due to mental fatigue after hearing for an hour of intense concentration. But as always, Dr. Peterson has spoken directly at me, at my hedonistic and refusal to be mature despite at the age of 24. I am going to be drop out of college due to myself wandering off the path and went to pursue a hedonistic, immediate compulsion, that I thought would have terminated my suffering on the situations that I have been. But instead, everything have gone worse.
I have to make the decision to sacrifice my hedonistic impulses and my voluntary willingness to dwell in the fog. But I am terrified, to confront the world and to start over. I am not sure if I can do it.
Hehehe, just keep moving on, bruh. True, real growth is uncomfortable. Just be yourself. You can do it.

I think cultures can create their own values because we did when we created our first religions. We continue to create religions, but you could argue the new ones took their values from the old ones.

We can easily heal the insainty of this world. It's already happening. It all starts inside out when we settle and meditate.
We can learn a lot about the world simply by observing the others and the world around us. The schools won't teach us that much, I think.

You know, dearest Dr. Peterson, I had a flash of insight as I was listening. I think that in this time of Biblical illiteracy, even amongst Christians, you are called to speak on the Old Testament in order to fight the heresy of Marcionism, which seems to have reared its ugly head afresh in Christendom of late. And your work on the Old Testament is engaging people with those stories again. I am steeped in those stories and I’m gently introducing them to my children. But not everyone was as privileged as I was.
And then I thought, you were saying, dearest Dr. Peterson, in your latest Spectator conversation, that you are “a new kind of Christian” or “not a typical Christian” and while I know you were put on the spot with that question, I don’t think that is right. You aren’t the first Christian, and by “Christian” I mean one who, as you do, puts Christ in the highest place, who wants to understand. You aren’t the first Christian seeker. You are one of many throughout history and perhaps you might find striking similarities between your own journey, and that of C. S. Lewis.

I like to listen to Dr Peterson's speaking, it helps me in many ways. But use China as a metaphor is improper as now many people already hate Chinese due to political reasons. And in the end, it is the individual suffers those unfair treatment. And yes, I'm Chinese.
