    As bad as I feel for Will, I think more attention should be given to August. They keep saying he was a family friend, but let's be clear. He was a friend of Jada's kid, not her. So imagine coming to the parents of your friend in distress, dealing with mental health problems and a death in your family, and instead of helping you, the much older parental figure seduces you. This is soooo sketchy and not ok. It's one thing to cheat and gaslight your husband about it (bad), but it's a whole nother level to do it with a young and vulnerable friend of your kid.

      I couldn’t have said it better myself! What she did was NOT OK, on ANY level… She is a true narcissist who does NOT care about anyone but herself… not even her kids! She has been gaslighting Will for a LONG TIME! She has put him through HELL the past few years and you can see it in his appearance, he has aged A LOT! Shame on Jada… I doubt she even realizes how awful she has made herself look 🙄 I really hope Will comes to his senses SOON and gets as far away from her as possible! I can tell he’s the kind of guy who probably stayed with her for so long “for the kids”. Now that they’re grown I hope he truly comes to his senses and runs for the hills!

  • @amyb1344

    Jada played it off like “We Were On A Break!!” - but she was in a position of power and trust while August was at vulnerable point in his life, and she took advantage. I can’t help but think Will would’ve been reviled for creeping on his daughter’s friend in a vulnerable position like this. I think Will and Jadad are in a toxic downward spiral with escalating destructive behaviors

      Excellent point.

    • @dmagcia
      @dmagcia 2 года назад +1

      The fact that August was not mentally stable is probably the only reason Will did not beat his ass. No one has taken this into consideration. They both emphasised that he was really really Ill.
      Will was going to dump her ass but I guess she talked him around by minimising the whole entanglement. Entanglement literally means a difficult or complicated romantic situation. That's a roundabout definition. It's ridiculed because everyone just calls it an affair. She was trying to give that affair depth by using an obscure word.
      Let's face it. Will was always away. Jada was also alone, she got left with this young boy, I'm sure she meant well in the beginning. Sometimes when a woman hasn't had the affections of her man they look elsewhere. August probably complimentary towards her and she probably hadn't heard that for a while.
      She did stress that she had been feeling alone for a long long time. Will worked all year round bar 2 weeks he had off I read somewhere.
      So even though we think they told us quite a lot, I don't think they told us as much as they could have. In order for that to have happened, a more mature conversation should gave been had, instead of joking about it in parts.
      I mean it sounds like I'm team Jada but honestly, I have never really rated her as an actress. So she wasn't really on my radar.
      The mistake they made was to address the issue. They should have left it to black twitter and just not acknowledged it. Like many many many celebrities do.
      I do think Jada latched onto him for what she could get from him. Even if only to raise her profile. Which while Tupac was alive, she used him for that too. Social climber more than anything else. Both Tupac and Will were already successful. Jada, not so much.

When you're repentant and sorry for what you've done, harm you've caused someone you profess to love, you're crying, you're begging. You being aware of Will Smiths ability to defuse serious situations with humour is spot on. In his book he also talks about always being a “pleaser” starting from his youth in family relationships etc. Basically he himself has confirmed that he always just wants everybody to get along and be happy so he is in fact using humor as a sort of a tool in those hard situations.

      @@fergoka it makes perfect sense when you’re dealing with a broken person who has low self esteem. I can speak from personal experience. Broken people don’t really understand that they’re broken. They have think they understand it… but until you’re healed, you can’t truly see just how broken you were. Narcissists feed off of brokenness. It’s like a magnet drawing them in. It’s a game. So they will give you the world while making themselves irresistible in the beginning to give you something to hold on to and long for. Once they’ve got you.. fully, that’s when they flip. They convince you that you’re worthless, you’re not a good person, no one wants you, and they’re doing you a favor by being with you. They constantly brag about themselves and build themselves up while they do this to you so it convinces you even more that you’re so lucky to have them. It’s just evil.. This cycle traps people. It causes those broken pieces to break down more and more over time. It honestly takes a lot for a person to take a step back and see what’s really going on. But even still, you have to be the one to ultimately decide if you’re worth more or are they worth the torment. Some never see it. Just my opinion, but I think Will has brokenness that has never healed from his childhood up until present day. Jada feeds on this brokenness and uses it to her advantage. Which in turn, keeps him holding on tight.
      I could be completely wrong and they both could be toxic as hell. But I know that look in his eyes.. and I sure as hell know the look in hers. Another good example, Amber and Johnny. Johnny freaking Depp.. with a C lister Amber Heard. She abused him and drained his money. Mans could literally have anyone in the world. But instead he’s with her. Makes no sense on the outside looking in but to them, it makes the most sense.

      Maybe I can take sides;
      it seems Jada ultimately wears the pants in this relationship, Will loved her and maybe she manipulated the relationship so she could boink August and maybe cause Will pain. Will is of course deeply hurt and the child in his soul doesn't trust her anymore, his innermost desire is for things to be the way they were before the rupture of their relationship, and the slap on Chris Rock was an exaggerated gesture by Will to reassert dominance over and possession of Jada in public.
      By reacting like a Macho-Man in defense of his "Woman", he is, in reality, saying that this is really how I would like to slap Jada for all the shit she created.
      I would go so far as to say Will is between a rock and a hard place with his feelings, on the one hand he is in danger of appearing to be pussy-whipped weakling in public and on the other hand his sense of self-respect demands a demonstration of machismo in response to his "Woman" being dissed in public by another man.
      Remember that most men need the four women rolled into one, in the woman they are with,
      i. the trophy wife
      ii. the mother substitute,
      iii. the homemaker, saintly mother of his children,
      iv. the harlot, whore and debauched sex object.

He even begins the interview ( not shown) by saying he told her in the beginning of their relationship “ I could love you through anything ?” The “ How am I doing ?” refers to this promise … his commitment, devotion, self sacrificing spirit , and love for HER as promised in his vow. It’s a little sad to watch.

    Jada takes NO responsibility for HER actions. She was helping him, they were really, really good friends, bigger things in the world, we were having issues… etc. She has many excuses that blame other people and situations but I haven’t heard her say it was her fault in any way! She makes me sick how she doesn’t step up and how she doesn’t think it’s a big deal.

    But currently Jada can say, no I had an entanglement, meaning (fill in the blank with whatever gets her out of being guilty of cheating).

    I grew up on The Fresh Prince, and seeing him in this situation is painful. The pain in his body is so obvious. He fought back the tears, and all she could say was, "you're doing great." I appreciate this video because it provides a glimpse into their relationship and how disconnected she is from her actions. She's taking no responsibility for cheating on her husband, AND she's used her child's friend to build up her self-esteem by taking advantage of this very sick friend at his lowest point. Maybe that is the reason for this "friend" to stop contacting her. Maybe he's realized how she didn't help him, that she took advantage of him, and used him to gain more power in her relationship with her husband. She is preying on people and it is scary to witness. I can only hope that the ones she has already harmed can find the strength to leave that toxic relationship.

Rinse and repeat it till you can't take it anymore strong men can go years before they are able to leave someone they love even if they don't like who their love turns into. The way she sits tells not only that she is comfortable in this situation but also that she is a master of it . She is not faking it. This is what she is. She is relaxed and dominant like “who can tell me anything? I know better than all of you.”Her face is another story so much arrogance and pride, and she is obviously a narcissist. Her ego is bigger than her. I’m not a specialist at this field, but I’m naturally very sensitive and usualully I feel this kind of things. Poor Will.

On top of it she should be thanking him over and over again for giving her another chance after what she did not only did she cheat on him she did it with a family friend that they all knew and we’re spending time with as a family, it doesn’t get more messed up than that. It is difficult though, isn't it? I mean, Will agrees that he was done with her and they had agreed to go out and find what made them happy individually at the time. Is it hurtful if the first thing that happens after something like that is that your "partner" engages in a relationship with someone else? Definitely. But is it cheating? Is it cheating if even now, they both agree that they were separated at the time? Is it cheating just because they were still married? Even though that marriage was an open marriage? I don't know, that doesn't seem like as easy or obvious an answer to me as many people are making it out to be...

The other person in the relationship can only ever focus on themselves. It is time to take space for yourself. I was in a toxic relationship for 30 years and did everything I could to make it work. But little parts of you start to die. That is not ok. It is ok to take a step back and just work on yourself. At the end of the day, we live with ourselves. No one else is in our heads. If we stay somewhere, that just makes us angry and resentful. That is not ok. It is not good for us or the world. Thank you for your good work!

    I mentioned in the Oscar slap video on this channel how emotionally distant they were, as represented by the physical distance and the fact her first response, after her double take, is fury and not turning to her husband simply to get some comfort. She felt angry and whether verbally or otherwise she communicated that anger to him. I don't think that he was just laughing without taking in what was said. He comes from a background of working with comedians and in comedy shows/movies where lots of quick witted people ad lib and you need to be quick off the mark to respond. Yes he was in the audience and not performing but surely his instincts in that regard are highly polished. I think he totally got the joke and didn't take offence until his wife conveyed that she did and then he felt like he let her down. But who did she say needs to learn from the incident? She hoped Chris Rock and her husband would move on and learn from the event! Not her! No, nothing to do with her! She totally takes no responsibility. It was quite a long walk from where they were sitting to where Chris Rock was standing. So I'm asking the question no one else seems to be asking. Why didnt she follow her husband and try and stop him? I would have stopped my husband, I know that my friends would have stopped theirs from making a choice that could damage their career, their reputation and their conscience. Instead she totally distanced herself from it as if it was nothing to do with her. That to me is the most telling fact of all. She knew it was going to happen. I hope I'm wrong, but I can't help feeling that, she probably wanted it to happen and she probably did something to ensure it did happen. If she had nothing to do with his actions she would have been trying to stop him. In fact if they were in a healthy relationship where they sought out each other for emotional support Will would be holding her hand not matching over and slapping another man. I admit a lot of this is supposition, but again I say why didnt she try to stop him? Why didn't she say I wished I stopped him? Perhaps she did but I haven't heard that. All of the quotes from her that I've read so far reference the behaviour of her husband and Chris Rock. As if she wasn't even there. But she was there and I saw nothing to indicate she tried to stop it happening.

      @@katiebarber407 I can see how it might look like that. However, living with a narcissist (spouse, child, sibling, parent and whatnot - people you love) is a very very real challenge, and brings you all kinds of issues and problems.
      Surviving one of those relationships coming out with head high and functioning after years to decades of constant gaslighting - that brings extra challenge.
      The common for most of these relationship is that the narcissist will work hard to keep you around so that in practice they can keep on manipulating you because they are extremely insecure individuals.
      I'm aware my description of a narcissist is lacking, but I assure you I know a lot about this, it's just not the platform to discuss it in great details. But feel free to ask any questions.
      So are we treating Will like a child? I don't think so. I don't think so. Breaking a relationship can be a traumatic experience for all involved. I guarantee you breaking a relationship with a gaslighting narcissist, thats GONNA be EXTREMELY traumatic. Because until you're done and worked through it, you will constantly question your sanity.
      So Will is facing very very real problems with this, that he needs help figuring out.
      That's sound advice from one adult to another imho. Not treating him like a child.
      I know you didn't ask for an elaboration, but since I know this is a real problem that needs real life solutions and it's not healthy to stay alone with them problems - I thought I'd clarify that.

The whole family helped him through it and then will and jada had troubles and she began her "entanglement " with him. Which he describes very differently. One part you left out was her going on about how great it felt for her "to heal somebody ", which he also describes quite differently saying that the heartbreak of his relationship with jada almost killed him. More narcissist Jada. You also skipped over the part where she corrects will for calling it transgression saying she didn't see it that way. But you were spot on about the rest. All about Jada.

    ETA: Now that I've finished watching this whole video.
    At 25:00 when he asks how he's doing, she does that head shake again that she did earlier. I don't think she really feels that he loves her the way she wants him to love her. That probably explains their whole marriage. He does his best to show his love for her, but either she doesn't feel that it's enough or it's not the kind of love that makes HER happy.
    I think she's comfortable because she already has a game plan. She knows how she's going to spin it, she knows exactly what to say and what not to say (hence, using the word entanglement). This is all a role for her, the script is memorized, she's just reading the lines.

      I just watched a music video to a song called "A Thousand Kisses" that Will and Jada made back in the early 2000s I think. In the lyrics, Will is professing his unconditional love and affection to Jada in most of his lyrics, but when Jada sings her verse, all she talks about is how much Will adores her and how funny he is. That one song pretty much encapsulates their entire relationship through the years. Jada has never been in love with Will. She has only been in love with the idea of having someone worship her. Will left his first wife for her.

Anyway, while he's on the other side of the country filming a movie, Jada is at home with her two kids being a semi- single mom and sleeping with Marc Anthony and then her son's friend August.
      I'm sure he will now admit that the extra money wasn't worth it. They have enough for five lifetimes. That is, before he has to pay Chris Rock for the adsault!

ESPCLY since he (in his perception, Im sure) failed with his first child's mother. A 2nd "failure" is not an option; even if he has to talk himself into being okay with an open relationship. What I've learned about being with a narcissist or having one in the family is that the “victim“ (children or partner) always try so hard to gain the narcissist's love. It's like a mission: “I have to become better, and one day he/she will finally love me“. They depend so much on the narcissist's approval. I can see it here, too. Will asks her “How am I doing?“ regarding her statement whether he is willing to find enough deep capacity to love her (again, it's all about her; nothing about “I'm truly sorry, how can I show you that I love you?). And she answers with “You're doing...great“ while shaking her head. Looks like Will is still not showing enough effort in her opinion. I feel sorry for him...

    • @michellewilliams9895

      It's really heartbreaking to see others be so dejected and desperate for that connection.. Narcissist strategy is to lovebomb their victim in the very beginning. Then they abruptly turn on their target and blame them for the withdrawal of love/approval, so the victim scrambles to fix their "flaws" so they can get that "amazing" relationship back. The method is sickening

      That is so brilliantly put. That's exactly what I see in his behaviour. The strain of being good enough for a narcissist. I think that's exactly what drove him to getting violent at the Oscars. And it shows you how lost he is, a mere glance of disapprovel from her was enough for him to completely disconnect from himself and try to get her to be satisfied with him. At the end of the red table talk, he was almost teary eyed when he asked how he is doing. It was the child asking for his mother's love. Him growling through his teeth that he basically will endure anything " the hole bad marriage for life" thing is trauma bonding at its finest. He is aggressive because he is so determined to get her to approve of him, and so angry at the same time but the child in him is after all not able to turn away from the mother, its life depends on winning her over. And he is fighting for his life, he will not be abandoned no matter what. Ironic how well suited it was for him to play the ginie. He seems to be as powerfully bound in this life as well.

    Listening to you explain this makes me think Jada is really deranged. You're the first one to really give a detailed perspective about this relationship. I didn't know August was sick. Who has a sexual relationship with someone who is dealing with very serious mental issues, much less someone who is the age of your son. It's borderline abuse, right? I'm starting to think she gets off on being with wounded men. Either she met them wounded, or she creates the damage in the people she claims to love. It's really messed up! I read Will's book and felt it gave a good perspective of who he is and why he does the things he does. I wonder if that slap was really him unleashing all the anger he's had over August, Tupac, Chris trying to get with his wife, and the stress of keeping up appearances, and constantly trying to be the good guy. He said in his book, that he often felt like a coward. I think he wanted to empower himself in that moment. It's too much pressure for anyone, especially someone who is constantly in the public eye. His explosion was long overdue. I view that slap now as the culmination of everything that was pent up inside. He needed to explode. It's just unfortunate that it played out the way it did. I feel bad for Chris too. He definitely didn't deserve that. But Will deserved that Oscar, and he deserved to get it without the drama. Jada is drama. We've learned it follows her everywhere. I wish Will could have a do-over. He should of just taken one of his kids or his mom to the Oscars. How great would that night have been with the woman who raised him by his side. All the years of hard work, the wonderful brand Will has created for himself, would have been celebrated. I still root for Will, and wish him continued success. I hope he's able to earn another Oscar when his 10 yr. ban is up, and he gets to do it the way he had intended. I will NOT be reading Jada's book. She's used men to make a name for herself, and she's proved she is NOT "worthy."

    This was a powerful and insightful read. As a Reiki Master I look a body language as well as read the energy centers (Chakras) of the body. People tend to cover and block where energy leaks are happening in their bodies caused by the physical/emotional/ psychological and spiritual trauma that occurred in their lives. Another thing with Jada, her putting up her hands as she did was not only to shut her husband down, but to also block the anger and energetic attack being put off by Will. Not to mention to subconsciously say, "You have have nothing to say that is going to convince me that I did anything wrong. Your opinion on this situation is invalid. "

    • @marthalouise701
      @marthalouise701 2 года назад +12

      Yes!!! Thank you! This is a very interesting perspective. I as an intuitive, interpret body language unconsciously for the most part. But I’ve noticed, with a Narcissist, they believe their own lies, so it’s almost impossible to get a read. I agree she is putting up a block to his anger and stopping him from
      Convincing her she did anything wrong. I also believe Will did get her back by possibly going out and having one night stands 🤷‍♀️ or really making her feel extremely guilty. I also have heard people say they had an open relationship. I believe the reason this hurt Will so bad is because her and August did get very close and intense emotional feelings developed between them.
