This is exactly what I was trying to do manually with 3 sends to 3 tracks but using an equalizer as the filter on each track. This is much more transparent. Great way to process bass guitar.

Can you do something like parallel compression of certain frequencies too with this setup? I think off compressing for example the mid-frequency-track very hard and use the dry/wet knob of the reacomp to blend it in?
I think I would prefer the first method, because it's simpler and more straight forward. Once you have the balance of the 3 faders, you could group them and control the level without losing the balance. You could also make the original track a folder track, and the 3 splitter tracks members of that folder, right?
What if working with mono source? should I put ''mono source 1, 2, 3...instead of 1/2, 3/4, etc? It didn't worked on a DI bass track, and the receiving tracks sometimes were mono, sometimes stereo...and when muted, I still heard sound...when I shouldnt, too much confusion, and did it step by step.

I've heard there could be some phase distortion(?) at the cross overs with multi band devices, and to minimize it, linear phase mode is recommended. Do you know if this is the case here?
Try it yourself. There's no difference. Duplicate the track without the Band Splitter and invert the Polarity (Phase). Try moving the bands around and you'll still hear nothing as it cancels out perfectly.

@@petersamps The 3-band joiner leaves me with 6 channels all the same! Do you guys know how I could bring it all back to 2 channels? I know the Channel Mapper Downmixer tool, but that somehow makes the volume go way loud and even clip!
