Hey Kenny. I hate to be that guy, but I want to ask you something unrelated to the video, cause /r/reaper and even the REAPER Forums couldn't give me an answer. So you might be my final hope. I'm currently making a song with envelopes on a bunch of FX bypasses (namely, guitar distortion and the such) at the same time. My computer is a bit slow, so naturally some latency happens during playback, and the distortion "delays" a bit with bypassing on and off. However, it happens even in the render! And no matter what I do to reduce latency, be it block size or buffer size, nothing really does enough, and I also tried every rendering option available. Is there an option to avoid all noticeable latency on render? I already have an alternative in mind, which is rendering all affected instruments and using the envelopes for switching between the two renders in volume. But that is hella kludgy and I'd rather do this the cleaner way. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for all the helpful videos. :)
when using a second kick track to control the pad track I assume you musing alt PC /click the extra track so it doesn't play during playback and allows the first track to be muted??
