I watch all the other cool dudes making Reaper tutorials, they're all great and super helpful but you're really taking it to the next level brother. Many thanks.
Perfect! The only reason Reaper isn’t my only DAW is that i preferred to make music in Ableton. Recently started to learn MIDI in Reaper by your tutorials. Thnx ❤
One thing that I would to love to see on this rack is a "random tuning" option to avoid the machine gun effect. I only know of one plugin that has this feature and it's ApTrigga by Apulsoft. I'm not a programmer but I think it shouldn't be too complicated to add a random value from a fluctuation range. Great video again!!!
Wow thank you for sharing this!! I've always been jealous of Ableton Live's layout and quality-of-life features, but it turns out the amazing Reaper open-source community has gone above and beyond in replicating and perfecting similar functions! Today I discovered these drum rack scripts and even a mock Ableton theme 😂
i love this. I used to have a stack of Rs5k instances on a track and go from there. The parallel container idea is awesome. Takes so much less fiddling around now. haha
rs5k manager - slightly under documented, but a powerful tool. My problem was getting colors to show up so I could see the pads in the drum rack. Those colors are related to the track color, so once I picked a good track color everything started showing up. SWS extensions helped make sure each new child track was the same color as the parent, so I had consistent colors. I love this tool now that I understand how to manage the colors. I'm so glad you made this video.
This is awesome! Personally as an ableton user I'm trying to get away from ableton devices. Everything's small because it was built with the intent to be used on small hardware screens. Makes the workflow tedious sometimes. I wish ableton would make a pop out drum rack like this but bigger buttons. Also one issue i haven't seen any drum sampler deal with is allowing the option to reorganizing the sample pads and midi together. I love what I'm seeing from the reaper community. Always looking forward to videos like these
Wow, these are amazing. Bitwig has the exact same type of drum racks. This is something that will make the times I use Reaper that much better. I love how it utilizes the Reaper-ness way of doing things so it's familiar to me in both contexts
Very nice! Thank you! Exactly what i needed 🎉 One question. I saved this as an track template but everytime i recall this track the sample preview doesnt work and it says it cant locate the path.
I'm trying to follow your instructions from the link and I can see both Sexan and Suzuki scripts in Reapack, but Suzuki ReaDrum Machine doesn't show up in Actions browser.
Thanks for the vid! ReaDrum worked better for me. I honestly prefer RS5K, but I find it to be rather slow when changing windows and messing around with parameters. It's like it has a low framerate issue. Not sure if it's just me, though.
Do either of these have multilayer sample support? That's the thing that's great about ReaSamplomatic5000. I have some multi layer samples sets and Samplomatic is perfect for that. IRL drums sound different lightly tapped vs hit hard, not just a volume difference. But, yeah, having these for my basic percussion samples will be nice.
thanks for the tutorial. One thing, I cannot find a way to dock the rs5k manager to bottom and dock the media browser to the left like you did. How did you do this?
Hello! you can place windows around REAPER and save that configuration however you want. I made a video about it: ruclips.net/video/LRa6yXFGCcM/видео.html
I have some issues with this feature. The samples that I use dont arent working. I drag and drop into the interface of the feature and doesnt making any sound. Can u help me? :(
Just checked out the ReaDrum Machine. I'm not getting the import from arrange feature like on your blog. Any ideas? I'm on a Mac M2. When I right click a drum pad it just shows a plugin list.
I can't make it work :/ When I drag a sample from the Media Explorer to a pad, it changes background but doesn't show the item's name, if I click play it doesn't produce any sound, MIDI notes don't produce any sound, if I double click a Pad with a sample it gives me an error "...s\Suzuki Scripts\ReaDrum Machine\Modules/Pad Actions.lua:228: bad argument #2 to 'TrackFX_SetOpen' (number expected, got string)". I've everything installed right now, do you have by any chance experienced something like that at any point?
hi sorry late reply!! - I haven't experienced this. It'd be better if you let the script creator in the forum thread know about this he can help you out better :D
@@doomertarnished I just asked in the forum for help and now it is working, try to synchronize your packages again and look for the 1.6.1 version and this should work after this update!!
Love it!!!

BROO, ur reaper looks lit af 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is the one I was looking for! I asked everywhere for it. I'll make an extra video around this one. Thx!
I don't even use workflows like this, but this is amazing! Here's to hoping we'll get some more Ableton-like features (ie. a clip engine)
Playtime 2 is in development, it brings ableton-like clip functionality to reaper. forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=262395
There is playtime.
playtime, it even looks better than ableton

What is this "machine gun effect" you're talking about? 🤔
When you trigger the same sound over and over in a small period of time.

Awesome! Been wanting something like this for a long time, thanks for sharing :)
This is awesome!
I wonder if it can automatically setup multi-outs so that rendering stems is easy later

Learning Reaper has a long indepth video on it.
I love that channel!!!
Great! Thanks a lot for the video. Haven't known about Redrum script. That seems to be really useful!

they really built it for djs to use on their macbooks on the stage

Yeah, Bitwig developers used to work for Ableton. :) So there's a lot in common. ❣
WOOOW! Cosmic Technologies! As always😂😂😂🎉🤩👍🥳👏
I used to have a preset create by myself with 16 rs5k instances and work from that until I got Sitala but this… 😍
Thankyou as always
This is awesome thank you!!
Another excellent video, thanks again.
Wow this is incredible!!!
Very cool stuff!
Very nice, thanks :)
Hi and thanks for the video.
I think I will soon buy EZ drummer 3, is this scripts still useful when using this vst ?
Thank you, it helps a lot!
what theme are you using? very minimal, i like it.
Very nice! Thank you! Exactly what i needed 🎉 One question. I saved this as an track template but everytime i recall this track the sample preview doesnt work and it says it cant locate the path.
The file thing on the left how'd you open that?
Do you have to add your own samples or does it come with them already?
Very nice. One thing thats not so handy is that if you close the script windows you cant get them back, or at least not that i can find
I use Sitala do effectively exactly this. Free plugin as well. A bit more functionality.
Is it easy to use this script with round robin / multi velocity samples and midichoke, to be able to play the samples with an e-drum?
Is it possible to cut a note when another one is played? Like a hi-hat splash with opening and closing?
Midi choke jsfx
I can't wait to do a why reaper is the best daw video.
The more I learn about Reaper, the more I wonder, "how do other DAWs exist?"
Is there a script for a utility like the Metric AB plugin?
You seem to have your sample libraries incredibly well organized. Is there a trick to that? Also, this is an excellent video!!!
No trick, just been shaping it over the years 😅 thank you so much!
Thanks for showing us this. After watching this I tried it and works great. Only problem is, if I close the drum rack window I can't find it again.
I'm trying to follow your instructions from the link and I can see both Sexan and Suzuki scripts in Reapack, but Suzuki ReaDrum Machine doesn't show up in Actions browser.
how did you put the samples in it? Im confusing in this part
How do I make my reaper have these rectangles or spaces that mark each drum piece on the track? Yours already appears in the tutorial with this.
What's the list on the left?
I think the drum machine by MPL is something that I'd go for... Really great video though, thnx..
Excelente!!!
Thanks for the vid!
ReaDrum worked better for me.
I honestly prefer RS5K, but I find it to be rather slow when changing windows and messing around with parameters. It's like it has a low framerate issue. Not sure if it's just me, though.

I need a samples for dummies video. I don't know where to start with those

They are both using RS5K underneath so technically they should.
Can you give your custom configuration zip file of your reaper settings
It can be helpful

hello!! it's in the first line of the description of this video :D
Man, you're awesome
How do I install the ReaDrum script? I can't find it in my action list :/ SWS Extention is already installed
Hey hey,
Can you tell me how you managed to have it docked like that. mine always comes up floating and I can't right click to dock it.
How did you made the VU metter on the master track?

anyone knows how to route the pads into seperate tracks?
...Time for another Paranormal videoooo!!!!.......
How make sample library window like you
