Honestly I thought Foo Fighters was done after the horrific death of Taylor. I thought Dave would call it a show. This is really impressive to watch. It took him longer to go back to music after Kurt was dead. It seems that in this case, Dave is already a veteran in those affairs and the music is his life and he wont stop. Which makes me think that Foo Fighters will continue for years to come. Its not about a man anymore, or a friend, even if it is a close one. It is about something bigger than that. Its about music and its about life. Thanks Dave for never giving up, for pressing on, for continuing on your music journey and for letting us be part of it. Thank you to all the musicians of Foo Fighters. We need you guys! Music needs you!
@@lofo7703 I'm not sure but I think it took two years for Dave to come back. The first single I heard was the 1995's I'll stick around song. Back then I thought it was garbage, given the amazing music Nirvana used to put out there. I thought it was a huge leap backwards musically speaking but I have to say that when I hear it today I don't think of it the same anymore, maybe it is because of all the music they have generated after so my perception on the band is very different. They are legends now.
I think that the Foo Fighters are full of such beautiful guys who really love and cherish their friendships and their fans. One thing I've noticed over the years when band members pass away, is that they eventually find a replacement and just carry on, maybe dedicate an album to them, the usual stuff, but no one ever shows as much love and appreciation towards the person who has to carry on that legacy as what the Foo Fighters have and are doing even at the end of this video, you see them all hugging Josh and making sure that he knows he's welcome and a good fit for the band. Obviously he was a friend of both Dave's and Taylor's, but we saw in the streamed performance how welcoming they all were to him and we see it here too. Without badmouthing other bands, we all know a band or two who has had to replace someone and then treated them like an outsider the entire time after until a record or two in to that person's time in the band where the band then as a whole accepted them. Josh is going to do amazing in the band, he will probably be with the band forever if he wants to be and he's with some of the nicest people in the world in that band and I'm so happy and excited for him. I hope that he isn't just touring with them, and I hope that he sees the Foo Fighters as his own band at the same time rather than one of the several hundred projects he has previously worked on. Taylor would be extremely proud and happy with this decision as well, which I feel is the most important thing about this entire transition.
Holy shit Josh was incredible to watch! He’s the one drummer that could elevate the Foo’s. For those who know, know. For those that don’t go google him, dude is an incredible drummer! Best thing for me about him joining is getting to watch him drum, his style is easy on the eyes
