Today we go to the best rides at universal studio's and show how to have the best day at universal studio's. So how is the most expensive buffet in the USA? They did have items like tuna poke, fish, pork and chicken, even Chinese items and fruit, desserts and crepe's! But this isn't a seafood buffet by any means, nor would I call it an American buffet. Tune in for this all you can eat and you decide if this is the best all you can eat or the worst all you can eat buffet!

$400 usa for that? That like a weeks pay in aus. No way. I have two house repayments in aus and thats not that much. Then they say your eating too much! What a joke. I say $40 usa tops. That's like $100 aus and I think that's alot.
I wouldn't pay anything. The protiens were mostly inedible. They have an issue when they food they actually cook isn't good. But they just wash & cut something, and it's decent... they're shameless.
$400 and they actually tried to kick you out. What a bunch of a--holes. Thats why I boycotted those kind of places years ago. When I was a kid we could go do that for $10 a ticket and now those places are trying to get two weeks of your check now for one day when you use to be able to do it for a fourth of your check. They should of not said anything and let you eat as much as you want. It isn't like the worker is going to get paid less.

That's not the price of the buffet, it's the price of entrance to the park, all the rides, line skips and the VIP experience and get behind the scenes tours. The buffet is included, you're paying for everything else and the reason you're encouraged to keep moving through the buffet is that you're with a tour guide and have an entire schedule of events to get through for the day. The meal is just one quick stop along the way to doing everything else.
$400 is a month worth of food I don’t want to hear any complaints 😂

@@Mudracer41 It's just to give you variety and no limits, the only restriction is you know what time your next tour begins. It's not like it cost extra, same with the free breakfast, it's just a stopping point for food along the way to everything else you're doing. They don't even make a big deal out of it in the package they sell you; he's just playing it up for a clickbait title because this is normally a food focused channel while what he paid for was an all day VIP experience including guided tours.
Honestly, that buffet looked awful. The dishes looked ‘mauled’ over, dry meat and unkept surfaces. I’d be upset to have paid $40. For that!

It costs approximately $5,500,00.00 to operate the theme park, EVERY day. Joel paid $400 for VIP (most people don't get the VIP). Even if EVERYONE gets VIP, that's 13,750 people you need to buy VIP every day JUST to break even.

In 1965 my mom and me lived on Laurel Canyon because it was cheap to live. Mom worked at universal studios doing hair make up and nails and I did Extra parts on different TV shows and movies

He made this video to sound as if he paid the almost $400 for just the meal, which he did not. That price also included the admission into the park, the tour guide, & skipping lines. The meals are all included in said price.

It wasn't a "$400 Buffet", and "They asked me to leave!" in the title infers that there was rudeness by some buffet employee; when in reality, he shouldn't have stayed there for too long considering he was on a tour schedule.
It's common practice to create attention. I do have respect for Joel, and I do like his personality. I'm certain he is a very cool dude in 'real life', but for his "work" on RUclips doing this sort of thing is mocking people's intelligence. Especially people who actually did go to the Universal Studios buffet would immediately know the title is weird and they'd scratch their head.
And Joel also provides a specific time-skip in the video at the start telling viewers they can skip directly to the part at the buffet, which means lots of viewers wouldn't even know he was on a tour, and immediately assume that he payed $400 for a buffet, because there's no context. Yet, the title on this video alone already creates a preconceived opinion.

Buffet is buffet meaning pick and choose what you want to eat not once did the ticket claim all you can eat. The "experience" has a set schedule and sitting and eating for 90 min isn't listed

I really enjoyed Hollywood Studios. Soo much fun!! Good food too! We went at 9:00.Ate crepes for breakfast then enjoyed the park, had a good lunch! We didn't wait long for rides because we had 1person (temporarily) disabled using a scooter. Scooter was 65.00..i think. We pd reg.park fee. Perfect!

Now, if Joel wants a REAL buffet in those parts, just across the street is the Universal City Hilton. Cafe Sierra offers seafood buffets for brunch and dinner each weekend. Dinner service offers whole lobster and king crab legs, both part of the AYCE offerings.

I don't know any hard details but it may be that since it is such a high volume place they do not want people staying for hours since they constantly need to move people in and out. That said the buffet on the intro looked like a Golden Coral, his choices looked better, but the overall quality seemed like mass quantity cafferteria food.
I took my son to Universal in Orlando, Florida (we didn't do the VIP experience but the hotel we stayed at had food all day for club level guests which was nice). He did Velocicoaster (the Jurassic World rollercoaster that went 74 MPH) 7 times! The VIP experience was not as pricey as what you pay for Disney World's VIP experience but I still couldn't afford what it cost. I was kind of surprised that the buffet you went to didn't seem to be kept up that well - it was kind of messy and it seemed like they didn't replenish the dishes that often. (But that being said, it was nice they brought you those steamed veggies).
The problem is people keep paying the crazy prices so the prices never go down. Same thing at the Houston Rodeo, everything is overprice for what you get but people keep paying.
Joe you can sue them for removing you that’s a contractual obligation you paid for and when a restaurant tells you to leave or removes you they’re breaking that contract you need to get ahold of someone and I’m sure you won’t be paying for another buffet
So... that $400 includes the ticket and all day express access instead of once per ride, valet, etc... the buffet is just a part of that package... I wouldn't call it a $400 buffet. Just the express access (once per ride) is $209 including the ticket, it's $299 on a Friday during the summer... so.... it's more like a $40 buffet.

Yeah it's unfortunate unless you do the private VIP tour. You're on the schedule of the group. Anytime someone has to pee you have to wait. There's so many things that throw off the schedule. Also there are people that don't even really want to eat the food that they paid for. They are done in like 5 minutes, because they're there to ride the attractions. I kind of felt rushed through the eating portion of my VIP tour too.
Thats wild. if this is the kind of treatment they give to someone spending a god awful amount of money on reheated frozen food, their days are numbered lol

We went to Univ Studios when i was 4 when we visited my aunt/uncle and cousins in Orange County, we rode the Jaws ride, that was 43 years ago...
