Been having twitches since the beginning of lockdown , I think the stress of it has caused the symptoms, I’ve tried to rationalise them with anxiety, this video has helped massively, thank you for sharing.
Stress/anxiety can be a pain in the arse! Accept those strange symptoms for what they are, upsetting feelings/thoughts in a fatigued mind... Nothing more.
I had muscle twitches constantly in a point of high stress in my life. Once I realized it was anxiety it went away. Also drinking Calm (a high magnesium drink ) helped a lot!
Your channel makes me feel sane. My struggle with health anxiety seems never ending. Can you make a video on how anxiety has affected your stomach and or throat if it ever has? Those are my two biggest worries right now. I’m fighting off obsessing about colon cancer. Stomach cancer and throat or esophagus cancer.
Emjay Aram I’m so glad that my channel helps. It does seem like a never ending cycle doesn’t it. I did a video the other day about how anxiety affects my stomach! I’ll film one about my throat too because my gosh have I been there too!
I have been experiencing muscle twitches, mostly on my calf muscles since 2001 .. Here we are in 2020 , I hit the gym every single day , been stronger than ever physically and still kicking in ... Self-diagnosing yourself by becoming a Google doctor is the worst thing you could do to yourself ..
My calves, shin area, and inside foot twitch after a year of anxiety. It only happens when I’m im sitting or laying down. When I wake up it’s fine but as my brain starts to wanders it comes back
My twitch calmed down *during* the course of this video. Thank you for speaking out about your experience, it is so reassuring to have so many sharing how they are not doomed to death, but anxious. I've been having changing symptoms for 11 weeks now and still no answers, but everything ive gone through could be explained by anxiety. Ive gone from vertigo attacks to palpitations to feeling like im suffocating to lump in my throat to my hands and feet going numb and tingly as i relax to sleep to extreme nasal pressure to repeated migraines to eye fatigue and pressure and now to twitches. But im still here, and some days are worse than others like today, but overall i am getting better. Thank you for helping me out of the doom spiral
I have some of the same experiences as you. Started about 4 months ago. Every time I say "as long as x muscle doesn't twitch, I'm fine" and low and behold a week later that bad boy twitches like a madman. My anxiety is so crazy I got my thumb to twitch for a few days almost on command. It was one of my first symptoms that went away after a week and I thought how scared it made me and bam. 30 min later it started up. My point being is your not alone and anxiety can create extraordinary symptoms.
I do. From the last 6 days, I have tiny twitches and jerks all over my body. I panicked. It got worse. I had a my video appt with my physician who told me that I'm burned out. She recommended exercise, stretching and massage and to go easy on things. I was working out really well until April when things became too strenuous and exhausting. Weight training is my fav of everything. I'm still scared and worried. What do you do for your twitches?
My grandpa, my dad, my uncle and two of my aunts have passed away due to ALS. I've had bad anxiety for many years because of all of that. I have a 50% chance of getting ALS because my dad had it. Twitching is my biggest nightmare. Thank you for this video :)
My mother's father in 2002 and recently my mother passed away to heart attack . After that I m suffering from severe extreme anxiety and cardiophobia. Everyday I m living in the fear of death ..due to my anxiety I m facing lots of symptoms and every symptoms just looks similar to heart attack. My whole life just ruined. I can't even think of tomorrow. Don't know what will happen. How are you right now brother...are you still having anxiety??
@@arupkumarjena5178 You will be fine. Anxiety can do some crazy stuff to our bodies, like mimic some health symptoms. You need to find a way to counter the anxiety. I have been fine for a few years now.

Wow.. thank you so much..I did exactly what you said you did and thought immediately that I had ALS and stayed up all night looking things up that only made it worse. I noticed when I really got anxious that the twitches got worse so I'm working on that. Thank you again..I truly needed to hear this!
I’ve had it for 3 days now, constantly, it won’t stop :( it’s a twitch in the middle of my ribs slightly to the left. It’s so annoying I can’t sleep because of it!
@@Starry_Dust1 yea last year had emg test came back clean said i had benign fascillation syndrome (bfs) from anixiety and stress . seen rheumotologist also said everything was normal just trying to forget about it maybe it will go away
Hi, I also have fasciculations, and I am 19, will be 20 in 11 days. I have had fasciculations everywhere for about 6 months- my hands, feet mainly, legs, arms, shoulder blades, face, lips, eyebrow, eyelid, gluteus maximus, but the doctor said its “stress” & “lack of sleep” - I would say I do get plenty of sleep, I do have a hard time falling asleep though- the internet has scared me into thinking it’s ALS 🙄
It`s not stress and lack of sleep your doctor is talking rubbish. The two Neuros i saw one being in the top 50 world specialists in ALS did not know at the time what causes these twitches generally, they just call it PNH which is a symptom of many disorders and conditions all usually benign, but to be honest they just don`t` know. The reason why some people get the eye lid twitch for example is because stress can lead you to rubb the eye lid without realizing, this stimulates the nerve and makes it twitch, this is not the same kind of twitching as in many many twitches all over the body never ever stopping...but it`s not ALS either, never in a million years unless you have profound weakness and the muscles continuously roll back and forth with muscle loss. The spine can cause lots of muscle twitches, thyroid conditions ,metabolic disorders, allergies viruses all cause muscle twitches, but if you have no other symptoms it`s just nothing to worry about.
@@katelyngant5007 Don`t worry about the twitches but you should get every blood test going. It could also be genetic cause some people just have tons of fasciculations, that`s life.
I used to have the muscle twitching symptom. I was so worried about it I went on google and found all of the horrible diseases that are associated with muscle twitching. I also started to feel weak so you can imagine I was in a wreck. These twitches only lasted about 2 weeks when i decided to just stop caring. I read on google that it's a really slim chance for me having ALS because I'm only 19 and the chances increase at 50 but even after 50 it is very extremely extremely rare. The twitches came when I started back getting really really anxious
Skilled Technical Works I don’t really get muscle twitching anymore. But lately my health anxiety is starting to creep back again. My allergies have really been bad lately I’ve been sneezing, itchy eyes nose and throat, congestion, coughing, itchy skin, and poor sleep. I went to the doctor and he said I have ragweed allergies and the ragweed pollen count here is really high. Deep down I know it’s just my allergies but my mind keeps thinking “What if it’s lung cancer?” I was prescribed antihistamines for my allergies but I’m scared of the side effects because I notice every single thing with my body.
I had some lip twitches that have subsided (thank god) but now my arm feels so weak. Key word is feel cause I haven't found that I'm clumsy or anything but this feeling is so scary :( how did your perceived weakness feel?
I've had these on and off for 20 years. I've also convinced myself in the past that I've had Motor Neuron, MS etc. Anxiety is the cause for me I'm 100% sure.
@@lilacue118 Mine are more my jaw, eye and forehead, i hope it's nothing serious but it's hard to not feel like it is when I was fine just a month ago!
Ok I just have to tell you how helpful your videos have been for me. I have had anxiety for years but I’m a nurse and this whole current situation put my anxiety in another spectrum. I started having numbness tingling and twitching. Watching your videos for me through the hardest time of my life. I was convinced I had ALS or MS. Being a nurse and knowing as much as I do and how to research but having anxiety and focusing on worst case scenarios had me non functioning... you helped me soo much so I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. To add to the mayhem I live in Long Island New York in the town of Brentwood which had the Mose concentrated cases in the whole US so u can imagine how i felt about going out, my kids in school etc!!!! Crazy! I was literally in hell, so thanks you again... for being a calming voice and sharing
Your last few minutes hit the nail on the head. Sometimes you have to give into your anxiety and let it run its course. Don't feed the anxiety with doom and gloom from Doctor Google. Thank you for this video.
Honestly watched your videos and it relieved me soooo much, I was going insane and literally planning how how I was gonna live out my last years bc I was soo sure I got ALS. I went to see 3 neurologists, did MRI, EMG + 2 other muscle and sensory tests and they were all normal and I was stilllll convinced I had it. And the 3 neurologists were just looking at me like - you definitely have crippling anxiety at this point. And then I watched your videos and I didn’t have have symptoms as bad as yours but I was just assured I was just anxious (I am generally a very anxious person) and these twitches are just probably due to anxiety. I am so relieved and I have medical proof that I need to just calm TF down.
I am going through a simmilar experience right now, I can totally relate to everything you say in this video. It truly amazes me how our own minds can make our lives a living hell!
I been going through this daily and went right on google...says a lot about asl. So now my anxiety is worse thinking about that. Not to mention I feel depressed bout it.
Shame she never answered to your comment, as quick she did to mine 😆😆😆 I suggest you take some magnesium and potassium.. vit D look it up hun and where to get the best sources ... don’t feel depressed angel, breath deeply another thing that helps with anxiety, plenty of breathing exercises On YT... good luck angel!! ❤️🙏🏼
This video is so helpful. Liked and Subscribed solely because you made me feel so much better about this twitching I've been having. Almost everything you've been saying you're experiencing is what I was experiencing.
I started twitching after a week of having being diagnosed with benign Pvcs been dealing with this since 8 months ago , my stepdad just passed away from ALS 2 months ago , I’m so happy to find your video it gave me a peace of mind even tho cardiologist said everything is fine so did my primary doctor , I see I’m not the only one who is dealing with similar problems
Mine is not 24/7 but every now and then I get the odd twitch in my calves/legs every day. I personally don't feel stressed but I'm very certain that subconsciously there is a lot going on. Often times we don't even realise that we are stressed until our body gives us symptoms.
@@courtneythorsby1641 I’ve been on fluoxetine for 5 years so I think it’s unlikely to be that unless it’s a delayed side effect ? How long did you have the problem for after discontinuing ?
I went to the Dr recently for it. Had all my bloods done and all fine and she also did a nuero exam and that was fine. We believe it's defs anxiety. I laughed out loud when you said 'diagnosed myself with lymphoma" I just recently did this too haha
Um oh my I could have made this video. Right down to my thighs twitching like crazy after a dog walk! I feel so much more sane having watched this. Thank you. Hoping my twitching goes away soon, 2 months is too long!
I’m so happy I’ve found this video- my anxiety and sleep has been drained and now come the muscle twitches.. I cut out caffeine and will start back doing yoga. Mine have been going on for 2 months- Ive included calcium/magnesium/ and nothing. My muscles are weak at all.
I am also 19 and have widespread fasciculations. I’ve had them for about 1 year and 2 months now. I have bad anxiety and stress due to many previous life occurrences. I’ve been to 4 doctors on the matter and my symptoms add to my situation which is stress. My psychologist diagnosed me with PTSD and stress when it’s at a high point can manifest itself physically. I’ve had many blood tests, everything was good.(liver, kidneys, platelets etc). I take magnesium (500mg) and a B complex nerve tonic, which helps tremendously. Stress sometimes gets so bad that it shows itself physically. We cannot actually see the stress as it is mental but when the twitches happen, that symbolizes the stress our body is under. Though not always the present mind, the subconscious mind is also always active. So having something on your mind, and not dealing with it, allows it to stay hidden in your mind, hurting you unconsciously. Stay praying, smiling, happy and calm. To Anyone experiencing these twitches, YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY ILLNESS, also do not google your symptoms please. Google is inaccurate. Just think, if google was 100% accurate in diagnosing Illnesses, what would be the use of doctors? You are fine.
Thank you for this comment 🙏🏿, im pretty similar with twitching all over especially in my hands, feet, calfs, and thighs....I've been stressing about it and this definitely calmed me down. I was wondering if your twitching is still going on? And how often did it occur for you? For me it happens throughout the day and sometimes keep me up a night. Have you made any changes that helps with your twitching?
Thank you for this comment! I have twitching as well that is due to anxiety and I constantly look up why this is happening looking for answers. There was a 2 or 3 week stretch where I didn’t think and worry that there was something wrong with me and the twitching went away and as soon as I got anxious again it cameback
I have muscle ache in my arms shoulders chest area specially my left side it worries me but I have gone to the doctor and she said it was probably anxiety and it's hard cus you think there is something wrong with you, I been like this for like 3 or 4 months it's getting better but not all gone
@@abrahamhernandez8959 I have experienced muscle pain when I first got the twitching. I used a vapor rub every night to help soothe the muscles however, I’ve noticed that if a muscle area twitches constantly it causes pain. You are going to be fine.. Try taking magnesium B12 And I use a nerve tonic called “nutrophos” Before bed you can also take melatonin And drink calmomile tea or another relaxant tea.. Your focus should be relieving your anxiety.. the more you focus on the twitching the more aches will come..
I have constant anxiety muscle twitches. When I'm triggered by something that someone says or it reminds me of something that hurt me before, my whole entire head can twitch to the side and it's COMPLETELY UNCONTROLLABLE and EXTREMELY EMBARASSING for me because I never knew why it happened. Sometimes it happens to me randomly but I guess it's not so random because I'll usually start to feel really stressed or overwhelmed or even have a panic attack soon after the twitches happen. I'm surprised some people have it happen every now and then, for me it's become an everyday occurence. My hands are always shaking and twitching so I can really only type on the computer or laptop, I can't write as much as I used to. My twitching distracts me and causes me more anxiety because I begin to worry that people think I'm crazy or doing it for attention but I'm not.
Have you experienced body twitching/hypnic jerks during sleep too? Like it will keep you awake, the moment you finally hoing to sleep suddenly you will feel the twitch and will make you awake again?
Mine hasn’t gotten that bad but a couple days ago i woke up to my foot twitching terribly. Im a heavy sleeper so it had to have been twitching for a while
I have these at the moment. They started about 7 weeks ago. They only happen at rest but they are visible. I dread going to bed as I just lie there and feel them all spark off 😭 Google is my enemy! 😰 and what you said about the doctors is so true! I just saw one whom I’m convinced didn’t think it was anxiety, although she didn’t say that so I’ve simply jumped to that conclusion!! But it sets you off again!
FOR THOSE THAT ARE LOOKING FOR HELP: I went and had my labs (blood work) done. Everything came back normal. I have a scheduled appointment with a neurologist 12/20/2021. I’ll update you guys after that. So over a month ago. Under My left eye started twitching. I didn’t think nothing of it, because I do have panic disorder & depression. The twitching around my eye is normal. Even if it does last for a couple weeks: it would always go away. So I didn’t pay it too much attention. However this time is different. It kept twitching, beyond a couple weeks. I kept rubbing. (Probably bothered it even more) started to overly think about it. Then my nose started to twitch, Especially! Especially when I scrunch my nose. That seems to inflame it and make it go crazy. A week passes. And now I started twitching above my eyes (eyebrows) . I should note, my family has planned a trip to Lake Tahoe: which is about a 4 hour drive. I have major anxiety in car rides. I definitely think that’s stressing me out. Which is making me think, “oh man, what if on the way there, I start twitching worse and I need to go to the hospital,” so on and so on. negative thoughts. Anyways back to the twitching. Now I’m twitching ALL OVER my body! My head. Arms. Legs. Behind. Ribs. Back. Chest. Everywhere. They don’t hurt. Except the ones in my head seem to scare me more than the others. Because it feels super uncomfortable. I’ve been trying everything to help. Ultimately I seriously don’t think it’ll stop until after I comeback from our trip. Because as much as I try to block it out. I know subconsciously I’m worried about it. So my breathing is off and a bunch of other emotions. I have a feeling the neurologist is going to pin it on my anxiety. Because my body has done something similar before: I was having really extreme vertigo. I was convinced I had a tumor or something. Pushed for an MRI even after they pleaded with me I was fine. MRI was clean. I still had vertigo, but oddly after I got vaccinated, the vertigo slowly disappeared. Perhaps a placebo effect? Idk. But now I have this twitching. Here’s what I’ve been doing: Buy some sea salt & Salt Substitute or No Salt (potassium) mix 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt and 1/8 Potassium salt into a water bottle. Buy low sodium V8 and add some potassium salt to that and drink it. Epsom salt (magnesium) . I take foot baths with epsom salt and apple cider vinegar diluted with water. I don’t measure just eyeball it. I would do an entire bath full of it. But I only have a shower. Exercise about 30mins a day. I like to go to the park mid day when it’s empty and run some laps and shoot some hoops. Im taking a lot of vitamins, but I feel the most important are Life Force Multiple (no iron) and vitamin D. Also I’m now purposely scrunching my nose even more. Before I would avoid it. But I’m exercising my face so to speak. It tends to help at times. Moving my nose up and down; side to side. Raising my eyebrows. Moving my lips. I look weird doing it, but it calms the twitching sometimes. Sleep!!! This part I struggle with. Because of the twitching it keeps me up. But I notice with less sleep; the more twitching. The more twitching, less sleep. It’s like a cycle. If you have a significant other. Have them massage you before bed. It’ll relax you. If you are single or your partner is tired. Invest in a massage gun or back massager (all body massager): I have both. And they help me sleep: the vibration tends to flood out the twitching. When I wake up. My first thought is, “did the twitching stop” and then bam, a twitch somewhere on my body. Then I’m like, “shoot!” Instant let down. Another day of twitching. But another day to figure it out. Sadly some don’t wake up. Get lab work done. Your blood results could be telling you what your lacking. I had my done. I was happy with my numbers. You don’t want to overly be taking something you don’t need. That could also be damaging. There’s a lot more I could write but I know I’m all over the place. So what I’ll do; is share my IG account handle: Jaredmvp Please feel free to DM me. I’m sure talking about it even for me will help. If you happen to be reading this. You are not alone. And ultimately that’s why I finally decided to write here. Iron sharpens iron. Together we can get through this.

Muscle twitches can be due to fatigue or stress. If they are persistent they can be due to bfs syndrome. It's nothing to worry about really. I have it and I have twitches aka fasciculations in my calves 24 7. I will post a video on my channel of my bfs. And if somebody else has the same twitches, you don't have motor neurons! Send me a message if anybody wants to know more about bfs!
Hi I'm curious if bfs syndrome ever makes your legs or just one leg feel a little off. I know mentally I worry about being weak in my legs and I'm overly conscious about it and start to over think things. My left just feels a little weird or off. Have you ever had any experiences like that?
I can’t thank you enough for this video. I had twitching in right ribs after I sneezed and that was for a couple weeks. And then I work as a therapist and i saw someone who had a terrible thing happen and then I started having more symptoms right after that. Twitches randomly and left forearm feeling weird then I looked on dr google knowing I shouldn’t and then the panic set in. It’s been about a week and then I came across this video and made me feel so much better. Health anxiety is not fun. We will all be fine. Just have to keep working on ourselves. And our anxiety.
Who else having twitches in their left side of the chest, close to the heart? It literally feels like my muscles around my heart twitches. It’s so bad I keep thinking there is something wring with my heart.
Also, so many who have been diagnosed with the disease(God bless their souls) whose story I have listened to visited the doctor with symptoms that no one here with health anxiety would let fly. They weren't looking for it like we are. Losing 8% of their weight randomly, falling down walking a straight line, significant atrophy on 1 side, can't walk, foot won't work, etc. Not 1 person here would let that slide. Double also, statistically speaking not 1 person who has viewed this video under 40 years old will have this.
I've been twitching for over 12 years. It literally never stops. I've noticed caffeine and not eating enough make it much worse. No weakness for me though, still strong as an ox lol
This was almost exactly my case. Started off with twitching. Got on dr. Google. Ignored all of the causes like low magnesium and went straight to ALS. This was during covid and I was stuck in an apartment alone for 2 weeks at a time. All blood work was good. They sent me to neurology just to rule things out. Had an EMG and nerve study done. Chalked it up to anxiety.
@peteryen5606 once I started taking care of the anxiety it became a once on a while kind if thing. Sometimes I hardly have any. Other times it is more noticeable. Never has been as bad as that first period when I was thinking I was dying though.

Does anyone else have like a singular muscle twitch? It’s like your leg just goes up and then down? and then it stops? this happens to me on random parts of my body
Great video Charelle! Thank you for providing us with valuable information. However, I’ve seen and read testimonials of ALS patients who’ve mentioned that muscle twitching/fasciculations were their initial symptom in a limb or extremity. These ALS patients described their muscle twitching/fasciculations as persistent. Over time these muscle twitches/fasciculations spread from one limb or extremity to another. Sorry, I’m not here to scare anyone. Just something that I’ve been researching since my muscle twitching/fasciculations began 3 several months ago. It began with my left bicep muscle twitching. Within a week, the muscle twitching spread to my calves, forearms, forehead, eye lids, chest, and even my buttocks. Other than muscle twitching, I have no other symptom. Charelle and her videos made me reassure that it was most likely my anxiety and not something serious like ALS or MS.
@@sanjaykumar6599 I still have twitching/fasciculations. No as bad as before. Stress and anxiety were my biggest contributors to my twitching/fasciculations.
This gave me so much relief but i was wondering if anyone else notice neck tension not stiff where you want move but feels like someone it grabbing you by the neck when ever anxiety hits hard?
Thankyou so much for this. Twitches started randomly to me. Got my blood work done and it was Vitamin D deficiency and I got diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. My Vitamin D deficiency is getting better, however, the twitches are still there - very random but for a short span. I had been going to counselling to work on my anxiety. There’s still a part of me who wants to get a neuro check up done. I am just 26 year old and it feels that I’m already in a mid life crisis. 😢
I can relate to this. I was also low in vit D, so my initial thought was that I'll be ok after supplementing with it. Still the twitching did not stop (although I must say it has improved when I took magnesium together with Vit D3 & K2). I saw a neuro and did this EMG-NCV just to rule out any serious illness. It turned out that everything is normal and then I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder. I just started taking antidepressants which I am hopeful would work. I suggest you see a neuro soon. It's worth it. Hang in there!
Thanks for the helpful video. I have been dealing with Generalized Anxiety disorder and Health anxiety for three years. Two and a half months ago I started getting twitches in both calves and the occasional random twitch on other body parts. I am very fearful of ALS and Google searching the symptoms makes it worse. A positive point from your video is despite my twitching I have forced myself to ride my bike. I have seen improvement in my physical fitness and increased power in both legs. That doesn't seem to point towards ALS. Unfortunately I am not convinced.
Neurologist told me this. Why this is not als? - while having twitching makes many people to start suspecting they may be a case of als, and googling makes them believe they may be a case of als, but the fact is most of the twitching is not at all due to any serious health issues including als etc rather they are due to benign issues only. Especially twitching that occurs all over the body and also in the absence of any progressive muscle weakness and progressive muscle atrophy turns out to be due to some benign issues such as BFS (Benign fasciculation syndrome), anxiety, stress, caffeine related, exercise related, or idiopathic benign (cause is not found but benign in nature), rather than due to any serious health issues such as als etc. And why this is not ms? - please see ms presents with certain very distinct or typical or obvious neurological manifestations such as severe blurring of vision in one eye or loss of vision in one eye, or paralysis of the limbs on one side, or facial droop on one side, or loss of sensation and numbness on one side, gait difficulties, incoordination/ataxia, speech difficulties, swallowing difficulties, double vision etc symptoms, but it did not appear to me you have had the above types of symptoms. And also muscle twitching is not a typical symptom of ms, this is because ms involves the CNS (Central nervous system) structures which are the brain, spinal cord and the optic nerve, but damage to these CNS structures is normally not expected to result in muscle twitching.
I am paranoid about ALS because I twitch every day but I also am high strung so if I get worried about something I harp on it. As soon as I stop being paranoid about ALS the muscle twitching went away for 2 or 3 weeks until I got paranoid about it again and it cameback. I go to the gym every other day and I’m working out and gaining muscle
Thank you soo much for making this video!! You have eased my anxiety. I've had these muscle twitching for the past two years all over, I've been thinking it's a side effect of SSRIS or PPis, I still want to get my magnesium checked, but yes I have been worried its ALS
I was on PPIs for 8 months, just stopped 10 days ago. Yesterday my forearm started to twitch. I was also thinking PPI was causing some issues with my muscles that why I stopped. Hopefully this will pass too.
Omg I feel like I’m listening to MYSELF!! I’m having a bad time atm. I have very very bad healthy anxiety. Got twitching and spasms all over. Convincing myself I’ve got MS Or MN. I’m considering going to book in A&E because I’m going numb. Can’t tell family because they just think it’s another “ self diagnosis “ .
@Simon sorry to hear that Simon, it’s awful. I’m still in the same situation, my doctors keep telling me there is nothing serious wrong with me but I just can’t seem to accept it. There is no way all these symptoms I’m having are just nothing. I’m considering paying to see a private neurologist. An actual specialist who knows what he/she is talking about .
I have always had anxiety from being a kid but lately it was so bad. I went the GP who thankfully did my bloods. I was low in Vit D and B12 which explained a lot of my extreme anxiety x
Wikipedia states that paresthesias is a symptom of bfs. Along with myclonic jerks and nerve signals randomly firing. Hope you are recovering from bfs now. I am currently suffering with it and now have paresthesias commonly. It doesn't feel very nice, sometimes hurts, also comes with itching. Comes about more in times of stillness or tiredness. Take care x
@@jmeeks76 Yes, BFS can come on its own but can also become apparent purely from anxiety itself. Turns out mine was actually a vitamin deficiency , parasthesia now gone. I had a vitamin deficiency due to severe anxiety depleting it. Take care.
Your spot on. I often think and compare people back in the old days were they just as anxiety ridden as is today? Ive started to get random muscle twitches in right lower belly wtf. I do suffer from health anxiety. Googling stuff is a nightmare.

Jason Pham yes I take magnesium supplements too!! 🙏
How long did you suffer from twitches jason? And where did they take place?
C Klan that sounds like the complete opposite to stop twitching lol
Okay, I started taking vitamin supplements and they stopped almost completely (barely noticeable now). I'm wondering if it was magnesium deficiency.
Karely Alvarez what kind of vitamins if you don’t mind me asking?
Your channel makes me feel sane. My struggle with health anxiety seems never ending. Can you make a video on how anxiety has affected your stomach and or throat if it ever has? Those are my two biggest worries right now. I’m fighting off obsessing about colon cancer. Stomach cancer and throat or esophagus cancer.
Emjay Aram I’m so glad that my channel helps. It does seem like a never ending cycle doesn’t it. I did a video the other day about how anxiety affects my stomach! I’ll film one about my throat too because my gosh have I been there too!

Liam Strauss i do have bad allergies.

How's your health condition now??

Mine is not 24/7 but every now and then I get the odd twitch in my calves/legs every day. I personally don't feel stressed but I'm very certain that subconsciously there is a lot going on. Often times we don't even realise that we are stressed until our body gives us symptoms.

I cut out caffeine and will start back doing yoga.
Mine have been going on for 2 months- Ive included calcium/magnesium/ and nothing.
My muscles are weak at all.
Hi, muscle twitches bother me too. Scared.

FOR THOSE THAT ARE LOOKING FOR HELP:
I went and had my labs (blood work) done.
Here’s what I’ve been doing:
Buy some sea salt & Salt Substitute or No Salt (potassium) mix 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt and 1/8 Potassium salt into a water bottle.
So what I’ll do; is share my IG account handle: Jaredmvp
Please feel free to DM me. I’m sure talking about it even for me will help.
If you happen to be reading this. You are not alone. And ultimately that’s why I finally decided to write here. Iron sharpens iron. Together we can get through this.

It's way out. It stops me in my track to stop to watch it. Some will rumble for seconds some will make your thumb move uncontrollable. They can move in & out push in then slowly push back out. See it has be twitching running my mouth telling you all this lol
sudden, brief electrical shock-like sensations in the brain, which can feel like your brain or head was suddenly jolted, buzzed, zapped, electric-shocked, or tremor

My neck twitches in public situations and when I'm even slightly stressed. It gets worse when I'm most anxious. I feel like such a freak and I'm scared ppl will notice. My boss pointed it out when she put me in a very stressful situation, and I've been obsessed and anxious with it since. This makes me feel a little better
I have difficulty when i walk. Because my neck and face have twitching
Thank you, you made me feel a lot better. This video was helpful to me--I have some pretty bad anxiety issues, and they've only gotten worse with covid. I didn't have twitches until the pandemic, and to boot I've also been dealing with hair loss. But this helped, so thanks again!
Do you get facial twitches?
@@lilacue118 not really! Especially not now. Things definitely get better with time, but I still have twitches in other places. They’re never extreme or anything.

That’s where mine are - my calves. I will definitely watch!
Hi I'm curious if bfs syndrome ever makes your legs or just one leg feel a little off. I know mentally I worry about being weak in my legs and I'm overly conscious about it and start to over think things. My left just feels a little weird or off. Have you ever had any experiences like that?
I'm just coming to terms with the fact I have the medical anxiety. I kinda feel better accepting it.
whenever i get twitches due to my anxiety i go straight to als and parkinsons.
Hey how are you now?
You are telling exactly what I am going through ❤🥺
I am in the same boat right now
did it stop now?
my body is twitching while watching this
Who else having twitches in their left side of the chest, close to the heart? It literally feels like my muscles around my heart twitches. It’s so bad I keep thinking there is something wring with my heart.
I am facing the same problem
Are you still facing it ?
I am experiencing this. Got checked out and it’s not my heart. How are you doing now?
I have it really bad but I wasn’t anxious for the period of time It started ..
Try removing sugar and gluten!
@@cherellethinks mam i am thinking that we must be having neurological conditions
Is your twitching non-stop or does it come and go?
@peteryen5606 once I started taking care of the anxiety it became a once on a while kind if thing. Sometimes I hardly have any. Other times it is more noticeable. Never has been as bad as that first period when I was thinking I was dying though.
I’ve been cutting down on snacking and eating in between and after that it started I don’t have anxiety
1. i am young.
2. i dont have weakness at all ( went to gym yesterday )
3. i have only experienced twitches in shoulder.
4. hopefully i can stop worrying.
Good stuff, I totally relate to your thinking. I have muscle twitches all over and googled WAY to much. I am trying anxiety medication and CBT to start.

@@lifeofcee6125 Hello! Lexapro has been amazing and really helped change my life. CBD did not personally work for me, but I switched to magnesium oxide and that has helped some with twitches. I still get some muscle twitches and eyelid twitches, but anxiety medication is known to make those things happen, so its possible they won't go away til I am off the medicine. Next I would like to try St. John Wort - its a real thing I promise. :)

Same reason plz tell what reason you plz plz

My twitches started recently
Same I have the same thing
Me!
Mine started this year and it was the period I was having serious gambling disorder.
You’ve helped me so much. Thank you x
You are so sweet. Thank you God bless you.

I have always had anxiety from being a kid but lately it was so bad. I went the GP who thankfully did my bloods. I was low in Vit D and B12 which explained a lot of my extreme anxiety x
Along with the muscle twitching, are paresthesias also a sign of BFS? I get kinda like a prickly feeling
parasthesia might be because of hyperventilation, often during times of anxiety, twitchings are accompanied by hyperventilation
Take care x
@@annalisestorey5146 it's both anxiety and bfs. Anxiety fueled the bfs, and caused the symptom.
@@jmeeks76 Yes, BFS can come on its own but can also become apparent purely from anxiety itself. Turns out mine was actually a vitamin deficiency , parasthesia now gone. I had a vitamin deficiency due to severe anxiety depleting it. Take care.
