    You are not a hypocrite. The other day I had accepted it was anxiety yet the next day I kept thinking something is wrong and I will never get better. One day I was talking to my grandaugher whom I love very much and I forgot about myself and the anxiety lifted. It was only about 20minutes but it was lovely.

    I’ve been twitching (on and off) for 15 years and counting. Flares up whenever I’m super anxious or over-tired. I wish I could give 20 year old me a big hug and tell them everything would be ok. I wasted so many years worrying about that disease. Too much information is never a good thing.

    I had intense isolated twitching in three or four places my right quad muscle for 18 days NON-STOP. The twitches manifested after a deep yoga practice about three weeks after a moderate COVID infection. After four days of twitching I had barely slept and was so anxious I went back on sertraline- which I hadn’t taken for six years. My anxiety also caused myoclonic jerks at night which made it impossible to sleep, so I was prescribed another medication to take at night to help calm me enough to sleep. I literally thought I had rabies at one point I was in such a panic. I still have generalized twitching, but as a health anxiety sufferer, I am used to that. Hang in there. ❤

    I started twitching in January 2023 one month after our dog passed away. She was sick with heart problems and the last six months were very stressful, maybe that's what triggered the twitching who knows... anyway, at first it was just only left chest muscles, sometimes the whole muscle would vibrate non stop for at least 10 minutes it was super annoying. I thought it was my heart because my neck and left arm started to hurt. Fast forward a couple of months my lat muscle started to twitch non stop for 3 days. And then my whole body. Went to a neurologist and they did an emg and everything came back normal except for just carpal tunnel syndrome on both wrists. Nine months later I'm still twitching but I'm still going strong. Lifting weights and getting stronger everyday. Funny thing is that after I lift the twitching stops for a few hours and it comes back the next day when I wake up. I've noticed that the less I think about it the less it happens. Thank you for your videos. They really did help especially when I was starting to fear ALS.

    I usually have very localized twitching, now I have "hopspots" all over, both thumbs, both quads near knee, lip, tongue (right side), left tricep and lately some thing muscle on the side. It usually lasts from few days to few months! I did EMGS of course, and neuro exams, and I exercise two times a week, but still when I get it I panic, because the damn thing is always different! it's always different location on body and different behavior! Sometimes, it twitches only at rest, sometimes, after workout, sometimes it's constant, sometimes intermmitent, sometimes it's barely there small pulses, sometimes it's strong aggressive twtiching that can move an arm or leg... It's just.. I can't say "oh, I had this before, it's nothing" because it's always different.

    I have twitching all over my body, it’s definitely worse when my anxiety is worse. I fear ALS and it makes it a lot worse having one person in my family that had in 4 generations ago.

    • @jussitoivanen5097
      @jussitoivanen5097 2 года назад +1

      It's almost inevitable that you have a person in your family with ALS if you look 4 generations back. Not having multiple people in several consecutive generations means it's not familial.

    • @mrdanni
      @mrdanni 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@jussitoivanen5097 it's not almost inevitable at all amongst 4 generations, 4-5 per 100,000 in the US, I think it would still be very unfortunate if someone did within 4 generations.
      That said; you could be right, the older you get the more prone you are to rare neurological diseases from parkinsons, alzheimers through to the rarer ALS and MND diagnoses. That said at a certain age you're far more likely to get and die from the big bad C or cardiac related issues.

      @@mrdanniYour figure is the yearly incidence but the lifetime risk of ALS is much higher, i.e approx 1/300. Now consider e.g. 40 people in a family in a generation and 5 generations. At least it’s very probable.

    • @mrdanni
      @mrdanni 8 месяцев назад

      Yes but you have to consider other things, especially in sovereign countries and the West.
      You have people living to a much older and riper age now unlike before, a million different ways to keep an older person healthy to live longer.
      Most neurological disorders / diseases are diseases of age, the longer you are alive and the older you are the more susceptible you are. This is true for all neurological diseases.
      There is a reason why the average diagnoses for this horrible disease as rare as it is; is 55 upwards, same can be said for parkinsons, dementia, alzheimers and the rest of them.

    I have been having twitching all over all day. I bet i dont go 10-15 minutes in a day without a twitch somewhere in my body. At night its mostly my calves. Tremors and twitches. This started around last august. I felt like it was dying down a lot then i got super anxious the other night and ever since its been worse than its ever been. Last may i had been tasting blood and spitting it out a lot. Every 3 or 4 weeks i would spit up a table spoon or so over the course of several days so you can imagine my anxiety was through the roof. I really believe thats what has caused all of my twitching. I can remember over 10 years ago i would get eye twitching when i was super anxious. Never this extreme though. But i also feel like my anxiety has gotten worse because of my health issue last year.
